Get VOLTE on SM-N920C - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have Galaxy note 5 SM-N920C and I live in India(SM-N920G is sold here) I have jio sim and want to get VOLTE on it so that I don't have to make voice calls from crappy Jio4GVoice app. Is there any way

phone not booting after magisk flash

Phone Details:
Sony Xperia Z2 D6503 running Android 6.0.1
Boot loader unlocked
TWRP installed
Magisk v12.0
Had the phone rooted but un-rooted via SU and then re-flashed default os using Sony Companion and unlocked the boot loader
When i flash Magisk via TWRP it says its successful but when i go to reboot it won't boot up
Has anyone experienced this before or have successfully installed Magisk on Xperia Z2 that can help me out?
same problem here. can anyone recommend a solution ?
Same here.. Finally recovered my device flashing stock...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/stock-h850-20d-eu-rom-flashable-zips-t3592762
Before Magisk installs anything on your device, it will create a boot image backup in /data/stock_boot_<sha1>.img.gz
If anything goes wrong (e.g. bootloop), you can either use the uninstaller (recommended) or decompress the backup and manually restore your boot image
It should ALWAYS bring your device back to life (suppose you have a custom recovery that can decrypt your /data)

If you can't access recovery you've got bigger issues than getting a bootloop from flashing Magisk. Can you access the bootloader to fastboot flash or boot a recovery image?

try to boot using 'power+ volume down' to boot into recovery, if that didnt work then you have to boot into fastboot then flash the recovery from there

Cool. Then you should be good to go. If you don't know how to proceed from here, you should go to your device's forum for help.

best advice is to head to your device's forum and check for guides there on how to flash custom recovery (twrp) there.
Connect your phone with pc, go into fastboot mode and type on fastboot
Code:
fastboot boot recovery
Or try a simple ways with power button with volume -/+ or both just try it
i recovered the phone but lost the root and can't root my phone. i am on marshmallow stock firmware
Hi, today i saw a notification of magisk saying there's a new version aviable, i clicked and i selected the automatic update option, after done, i rebooted my phone, but now it is blocked in a loop witouth showing screen, what can i do?

If you have N950F Duos like me its pretty easy to root on Android Pie
Just download latest TWRP 3.2.1.0 or newest and put TAR file in Odin make sure you have OEM enabled in developer options...after that flash TWRP but after phone goes black you need press VOL+ Bixby and Power or just Vol+ and Bixby you need be fast....when you in TWRP swipe to allow modifications...than go and flash Magisk 18.1 latest ZIP....you need it have on SDCARD before start anything...if you got any error like "cant mount data" you need go first to WIPE and there wipe data its ask to type YES this format your phone and delete internal storage....
Magisk work fine no problems and twrp to. Good luck.
If you need help tell me
recovery from DR katen,s link and flash magisk 18.1
then install magist for pie.apk
its all ok

What firmware version did you use?
I am considering switching from Nougat 7.1.1 to Pie 9.0 as there are more and more compatibility issues recently (with lastest version of softwares installed like wechat).
Below are the latest 2 versions of firmware available for downloading from sammobile.
Any successful experience with any of these, including root / rmm state bypass / xposed module using magisk, etc?

So I guess you need to first boot into pie and turn on OEM unlocking.
If OEM unlocking isn't present in the developer options then you might wait for 7 days or turn off auto update date and time and change date to next month and then unlock the bootloader.

That's the reason there is a guide.
Works flawlessly, well as the stock does but since you're rooted you are the person in control.
SOLVED: Failed login to samsung account because device is rooted
To get rid of samsung account request when device is rooted, you need to freeze system app "Samsung Experience Service". Useful to set lock screen bypassing samsung login. When finished, unfreeze it to avoid the bootloop at next reboot.
Freeze do you mean force stop ?

Try this tool for Windows
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/app-motorola-boot-logo-maker-source-t2848667/
In case of any problems with the tool I could repack a logo.bin with the images that you prefer.

Thanks for answear. I test this fw in next week.
Now im on official newest 9.0 for moto g6.
I find place with stock moto g6 firmware. Tried flash oldest 8.0 rom. But fastboot give me cannot downgrade message. Thats why i decided flash newest avaible fw.
I flashed official TWRP recovery for g6 too.
And try flash zip file. But i cant decrypt storage. And i have error with format data. I Just give up with remove Bootloader warning. And use stock 9.0
I dont have enough data package to download this fw. But i try this fw in future. Thanks for helpi just wanted only remove this Bootloader warning. Cause im buy this moto with already unlocked Bootloader. I have moto g5 too. With unlocked Bootloader. I replaced this warning with black moto logo. And its work. Do not downgrade from Pie to Oreo! Once Pie is installed there is no way back to Oreo.
TWRP can't decrypt /data on Moto G6. Start TWRP, don't enter a password and hit cancel. Go to "Wipe > Format Data (do not use 'Advanced'!!) > type 'yes' and swipe to confirm".
Next reboot to recovery twice!
Now /data is unencrypted and you must flash the no-verity/disable_forceencrypt.zip in order to stay unencrypted. A reboot to system without that .zip will encrypt your /data again.

Flashing newest Magisk v20.4 will cause a bootloop. Use v19.3 instead and update Magisk through Magisk Manager when v19.3 is installed without any issues.

It's not a decryption.zip, it's a forceencryption-disabler.

I guess you don't reboot to system after flashing the stock ROM, do you?
One of the last fastboot commands was "fastboot erase userdata". The missing reboot command is the reason for your problem!

Now this is gone. No more modding moto g6. Better is stay on stable working stock. Then cant use phone. Man what a day. Time to relax i almost throw this damn phone on the floor.
