out of nowhere...when im in landscape mood...i type in the 10 digit number im about to send a text to..then i hit the D pad down...and no nothing happens...it always would scroll down to the text box and then i would start typing now i just stays in the box where i insert the phone number...
any fix =\
I'm assuming you've checked it isn't just a case of the d-pad no longer following the screen orientation? As in if you press what has become 'left' on the d-pad, the cursor focus doesn't helpfully go down a line as you need?
Hi,
I struck with problem. I am displaying the edit box as today screen item. My mobile do not have hardwared keybord. I should depend on soft panel. As we know we will not have any key board for display screen, unless v open contact list or note pad key pad is disabled. I want to enable the soft panel to type some thing for this edit box.
I am working with Window Mobile 5.0 and VC++.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
I've a Xperia with a German keyboard layout. So I'm a little bit confused, but I'm able to use the keyboard in Android. My problem is that I've not found the "0" button. All numbers are available with the blue (FN) button.
Is there any possibilty to get the the zero or to activate a virtual keyboard?
Thanks a lot
Thore
virtual keyboard, click anywhere with a text field?
sadly the android virtual keyboard is not available in terminal. So the only way i know of is to activate the linux kernel virtual keyboard by editing the startup.txt
Replace msmvkeyb_toggle=off by msmvkeyb_toggle=hide, and you will get a blue square always on screen. Tap that and you will get a virtual keyboard. That will work until someone maps a x1-key to the zero.

Edit2: Keys do not work with this key layout than original qwerty. I looked at the both files and they look hugely different in format. Also, its no point opening up and recompiling the sqsh, qwerty.kl is symlinked to /etc/keylayout/qwerty.kl, which is in /init.etc/keymaps/ in the rootfs.img.
Click to collapse
With that final hint, we now can solve the zero issue For that, we have to modify the qwerty.kl in rootfs.img, so mount that file (see quote post for details) and open file with your favorite editor. Edit line
Code:
key 3 2
to
Code:
key 3 AT
That will map the @-hardware-key to @-char. And by pressing the blue button in addition to @ (like for the other numbers) we will get zero
I feel so stupid for not being able to figure it out , but how exactly do you go to a new line when compiling a text message with Swype keyboard? Inside Samsung’s SMS app, the return key is replaced with a shortcut to emoticons. Which I think is a nice customization, but I would also like to be able to go to a new line somehow. My swype ver is 1.62.38.8642.
Have you tried to access the "cursor keys"? Just swype the two bottom left keys from left to right. Mine doesn't have the emoticons so I can't test it.
Cursor keys layout doesn't have an enter key either,i have attached both layouts. Is there a gesture of some sort??
