Hi!
I recently got the EMUI 5.0 update, all work perfectly, but when I set the app drawer the icon is missing and I can't see any app icon either. I clear the cache and the data from the app but the problem still here.
Please help!
Thank you!
Settings >>>> Home screen style
He already did that but the problem is when he switches to app drawer mode, the appdrawer icon on the home screen is missing. I do also have this problem :s
Not really a solution but you could switch to a different launcher like "Nova Launcher" which features an app drawer and generally more features than the default one.

Hey guys,
My dialer shortcut icon at the bottom of the screen to the left of the drawer and web browser button is no longer working. The icon has been replaced with the white and green Android icon that looks very similar to the Market icon. When I click it, it says, "Application is not installed on your phone." I can access the dialer if I put a Contacts icon on my desktop.
How can I fix this problem?
Has anyone encountered this problem? I went into stock recovery mode and I cleared the cache but the dialer icon still does not work.

Will it launch from the app tray? And are you using the stock launcher or a custom one?
I've found every time a built-in app updates I have to remove it from ADW and put it back or it doesn't work. Google Maps, Google Voice... I think those are the two I've noticed it on but pretty sure it's anything that's in the ROM. Maybe that's the issue.
Khaytsus,
Thanks for the response. You were right on the money. It was my ADW Launcher that I installed. The uninstalled and reinstalled ADW and it works perfectly now. Thank you.

erm.. You would not have to reinstall ADW to fix that, just replace the shortcut in ADW, but okay, glad it's fixed
ive installed the cyanogen rc3, which came with the adw launcher. everything was working fine until, i went to my home screen, and noticed the browser and the phone icon next to the app menu icon were missing. does anyone know why they left, or how to get them back. thanks in advance
you could just try adding them again.
drag the icon over the spaces.
no that doesnt work, i think they were there because of the theme i guess, now there just not there. they used to be like the stock froyo has it, iwuth the icons next to the launcher. how can i get those back.
Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings make sure LAB and RAB are checked
wow thank you, your the best. thanks for your help

So i just picked up the 6 yesterday! Finally! It's a sweet phone and I'm glad i went w/ this over the note 4 for sure!
So a problem I am having is listed below. note that i am using Solo launcher and still have encryption enabled.
- When I click on any app in the app drawer it just kind of turns a shade of gray but nothing happens.. . the app won't open up! I have to drag it to my home screen first where I can then access it no problem. update: it appears this is a problem isolated to solo launcher, just emailed the dev.
- Chrome only lets me have one tab open at a time, it is not like normal where i can open multiple ones at the same time. i may be missing something here.

nah i'm using solo launcher ( i like it better than nova) and when i uninstalled it the problem went away... so I emailed the dev. hopefully it is a bug that will get fixed w/ an update.
So I have managed to install SR4 and get Xposed/Gravity Box going. I have installed the AndroidN-ify Module and get Google Assistant going and have installed Pixel Launcher. Only problem is that the long press on icons does not pop up the menus. Now is this something that is only part of N or is it part of the Launcher? Also Google Now Cards do not pop up when I swipe home screen.
Thanks for any help.

I believe it's system integration, nova however have it included as you can see in my screenshot. Did you download the apk or flash it? I found flashing the launcher gave me the swipe to Google.

I installed all. 7.1.1
Hmm maybe try and flash it. Dilemma is I like both the swipe and the long press. So it would seem that I have a choice to make. Oh and how do you enable the long press function in Nova?
I am having trouble getting Google Assistant unlock the screen but if screen is on it works fine.
It's the nova beta
This is my finished setup pixel my way haha.

Just like official n not all apps support it yet. XDA labs recently updated to support it. Even the usual Google apps still haven't implemented it

How did you guys get the new google pixel persistent search bar uptop on nova launcher? I thought that was a pixel launcher exclusive? Also, if you have the widget, can you change it to display weather rather than just the date like on the pixel?

Know how to revert all this? I would like to remove pixelfy.
I've had my N8 for a month now and I've seen that ever since that lately, the app drawer has stopped resizing when I change Settings > Display > Display Size. This is incredibly annoying as the 5-across grid is incredibly congested and cumbersome to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. the app drawer grid resized fine earlier, this issue has started happening lately only

Yes mate, rebooted, cleared the launcher app cache (and a few other caches I could find, Oreo doesn't let you clear the cache in just one touch, unlike previous versions), cleared the launcher app data...
I chatted with Nokia support, they first tried convincing me that the app drawer always had a 5-across layout, and when I asked why it changes in the preview in the settings (under display>display size), they just said it's not possible to do it.
I can agree, it doesnt change. Even when using Pixel Launcher 2.

Aside from pulling the launcher apk from a previous OS update, might be easier to try a custom launcher like Nova, Lawnchair or Pear. They are all derived from the same AOSP launcher as the Nokia stock launcher so you'll still feel at home using them. (Pun intended)

You're right, I gave up and downloaded Evie Launcher. Still disappointed at Nokia Support's handling of the situation though.
