Good morning guys.
Long time without post here but I have a "little" problem with my phone. It is an HTC One m7 (AT&T original) but converted to GPE. It was bought around 2013 so it has few years of use. Since yesterday I am having a problem that I will describe.
Yesterday phone was charged at 100%, I only play Clash of Clan so with phone charged at 100% BUT charged connected to the phone I enter to the game and played for around 4-5 minutes max. After close the game I see that phone does not show 100% charge instead of that only show 53%...
Today the problem has showed 2 times, from 60% to 39% and 86% to 53%. Both time I only was using the game, not more...
What could be the problem? Some app? Time to change phone? Hard reset could help?
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Sounds like the battery needs replacing. Screenshot your battery usage and send it here.
Hi @starboi4eva.
I attached 4 screenshots, the last 2 are from today. Battery was showing 96% charge and in less that a minute (just playing CoC and with charger connected) the battery just drop to 83%
Thanks for the answer.
Sorry for the late reply. And yeah....that doesn't look healthy. I suggest getting a new battery. I bought one off ebay last year and replaced it myself. Some skills needed to replace it.

I've been using my HTC Diamond for a few days and I would like to ask a question.
How are your batteri time? Mine seems insanely low, for example tonight when I put the phone besides my bed with almost fully charged battery and woke up 9 hours later and it was completely empty.
Are this normal or have I probably installed some strange app that drains a lot of battery? Or might the battery even be damaged?
The only app I can think of is the background changer that I found on this page, but it only changes once in 30 minutes, and not when the phone is in sleepmode (I think).
Thanks in advance.
Hi,

Thanks for the tip, gonna check it out right away!
Hi
I have noticed when I soft reset my phone the battery drops anywere from 5% up to about 70%! It varies from rom to rom. If i plug it in and softreset it a couple of times the battery goes up to around what it use to be. If it makes a difference I flash roms alot and don't usually install to many applications.
Is this normal at all or is my battery faulty? It's only about 8 months old.
Any ideas? Tips I could try?
Thanks
Imran
you know, i have the same problem when installing, touch x legendary rom, battery is about 96,96% but when i install that rom, battery drops down to 8,7%, i just plug in power for second, and battery jumps to 98%, and then all working fine...
The way phones and other devices display their state of charge (%) isn't always accurate, hence why it jumps back up 5% after plugging it in. I don't think your battery is unreliable, it's just reporting the wrong percent of charge...
I see. Mine is more like 50% so I guess mine is just really wrong! any ideas for fixing this?
Also i have the typical xperia x1 problem were it thinks the headphones are plugged in for the last 4 days. I have plugging and unplugging the headphones in heaps but it doesn't seem to work
Thanks
I have the same problem.
Phone has one year and 8 months.
Wine phone or battery?
I just got exact problem this morning
I agree with comment above, I think it just battery indicator not accurately represented battery state.
I also noticed the problem happened when I get my phone idle for a while
I was just going to start a new thread about this kind of thing. My phone's original battery has run out at anywhere between 0 and 30%... it tends to go for a couple of days if I don't use the phone much. I've tried recalibration and it doesn't really help. I thought that was bad, but I just bought a backup battery and it's even worse... yesterday it went from 100 to 50% over half a day on standby, then I used it for about ten minutes and it just went off! At 50%!
I was only expecting rubbish life from the cheap battery but at least report the charge properly so I have a chance! Old phones could always do it... why can't one that cost hundreds of pounds when it was new?
I take it there's nothing you can really do?
Hi everyone.
Just your opinion on this please.
I have my Galaxy Ace for just over one year now. The past weeks my battery is literally running to empty.
I had a live wallpaper (My battery wallpaper) where I saw the percentage going down.
I did a factory reset, installed nothing more than the software on the phone and still the battery drained in a matter of hours.
So I installed Gsam battery monitor, to see what was causing the drain. After a week I found nothing that could be a cause.
Last night I charged the battery to 100%.
At 6:30 AM I disconnected, switched my Bluetooth on to drive home, uploaded the screen capture to my Sky drive and saw that my battery was down to 32% (see attached print screen).
When I go to my T-Mobile show, they're willing to send it of for repairs. But I doubt that that is the answer.
So please your advice on this:
Is my battery broken and should I replace it, of could there really be an error in the software?
And if I should replace my battery, should I use an original Samsung, or are there (better) alternatives?
Thanks for taking the time in replying.
Rob.
Reflash stock via odin & give your battery a try. If that doesn't do good, buy a new one.

Thanks for your quick reply. But my wife was even quicker: she bought a new battery and I replaced the old one.
Result: It took quite some time to top-up the battery to 100%, but now it has been running for 1 day and 2 hours. Phone had been used for stand-by , Internet and e-mail and I still have 56% capacity left. I never had such a long time on my old battery, so perhaps it was faulty from the start.
Problem solved, thanks again,
Rob.
ok since a couple of days ago my phone had the best battery life i could ever want, but now when i have lets say 65% left and play a high-end game (like GTA III, Vice City etc.) it will stay at about 60% for a very long time while i'm playing the game.BUT when i leave the game and stop using the phone it drops at huge amounts. It sometimes even shuts off the phone when it still has a min of 15% left (with which before the problem accured, i could listen to music for about 2 hours before the battery showed me the second warning message (below 4%).When the phone restarts when i have lots of battery left it almost always beeps for low battery when it starts up again. So i plug in the charger and the next thing i know (literally after a few seconds) the battery percentage is up with at least 10% which i find impossible as it took about 2 hours for the phone to fully charge when having less than 5% battery left when i bought it in March this year.So my question is whats wrong with my battery ??? Will buying a new one from Handy solve the problem? I'm out of ideas so any help is much appreciated.I'm starting to hate my phone for this issue
Hello guys.
I just bought today my p30 pro.
I opened it and the battery was at 64%.
I setup my phone etc for some time and the battery went after some hours to 50%.
Then I put the phone aside and picked it up after about an hour and the battery was at 42%.
Nothing was happening at the background, no downloading no synching etc.
Is it something normal because it was the first usage of the phone after opening it? After the first fully charge I will give it, is it something that will not happen again?
Thanks in advance.

Hi m8, have you checked in Settings/Battery if there are some apps that squize your battery juice? Ex:Facebook, Instagram or another app that is always on and stays connected in background?
I always deactivate those apps and other ones from staying open in background or starting on boot.

I checked and i didnt find something unusual.
After it went at 42%, it was loosing 1% every 1,5 / 2 hours with just sitting there.
Today i gave it its first fully charge and after 4 hours its still at 100%, with just 10-15 minutes of calling time and a couple of sms. But for now it looks good.
I just wanted to know if the battery behavior i had is normal when you open the phone for the first time before you charge it for the first time.

When i've opened my phone it was on 58% battery. After software update and setting it up (~4h) it was on 10%. I've charged it overnight and on first day usage (from 7:30 AM 'till 23:30 PM) it was down to 23%. After that, on normal day by day use i can get ~ 6-7 hours on SOT (AOD, YouTube, Facebook, email, Chrome, calls, some photos/videos depending situation). If i have a busy day at work, it will drain ~10%-15% on 6-8 hours without hard usage.
Is it normal to have that high% at cell standby?
I cant find a way to post the picture, but my cell standby is at 18.89%.
