HELP! Phone charging with 50mAh - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Recently my phone started not charging.
The first case was when i flashed DragonXia 3.8.
The percentage would jump from 50 to 55 in 1 minute and after that minute, the charging was disconnecting.
Now i flashed latest miui developer and the phone keeps charging really slow, until this morning... Now it doesn't charge at all.
And on top all that, yesterday and today my batteri discharges very fast
Here are 2 screenshots, the phone is "charging", but the percentage drops.
PS. While I was on DragonXia 3.8, Ampere showed charging with 4200+ mAh for a brief moment.

Nevermind, i found out what's causing the slow charging.
It was the cable. I changed it and the phone charges with 2300mAh with qc2 charger on latest miui developer

Battery charging not possible

Hi,
I have my Diamond for about 1 year now. About three weeks ago I could not charge my battery anymore, so I bought a new battery (original HTC). With the new battery installed everything worked fine again.
After a week the problem retruned. The phone switched itself off after the battery level low warning and I tried to charge the battery after about 5 hours. So a second battery became useless.
I also tried charging by USB-cable with several PC's but without any result. I measured at the + and - poles of both batteries and measured about 0,3 Volts, so the batteries must have been drained completely. I guess the protection circuit in the battery/phone prevents charging.
On one battery I directly put power on the battery poles from another power supply, which deliveres about 10 Volts for a very short time (only for about 2 seconds). Then I measured the voltage on the battery poles; it was about 3 Volts now! I put the battery back in the Diamond and to my surprise it charged normally. I also did this with the second battery and it also functions normally again.
Tonight one of the batteries was drained again and the charger was connected after about two hours and again no charging was possible. I did 'the trick' with the other power supply and afterwards everything was working fine again.
In other situationss, when I connect the charger directly after the phone switches itself off after the battery low warning it also works normally.
The problem seems to be that the phone drains the battery completely when left without charging and when it gets too low charging is not possible in the normal way. The phone swithes itself off at about 5% charge level, so the software seems to be working ok.
Does anybody know this problem, and maybe propose a solution.
I'm using the latest stock 2.03 ROM from HTC.
Thanks in advance!
I'm having the charging issue. Having it with both of batters. Overnight charging and only 40%. Also drains like with in hour. Any solution?

battery charging by itself

I've been using a new original battery for 6 months now, but only yesterday, it seems to be acting very odd, whenever i place My finger on the usb port on the phone, it charges, and sometimes it even charges by itself then stops charging then starts charging again. however i do not believe its charging because the drain is awful as its gone down 10 % in 40 minutes. can someone please help me here. the battery and fine. and I can't check the drain on bbs as it's always charging then not, hence bbs restarts.
may be its time for a new USB charging module.. try cleaning it first...(remove battery first.)
have done, doubt thats the solution, ive noticed, that it only charges by itself when the battery is 40 percent, when the battery drains to ~20% in which it does so very quickly, from 90% to 16% in 90 minutes, the odd charging by itself stops. it may be a rogue battery i guess. going to have to try anker batteries, the originals are not that good.

[Q] CM 11 (JCSullins): Battery not charging?

I installed JCSullins 4.4.4 CM 11 from 9/13/14. Thanks to the Toolbox, the process went extremely smoothly. I ran into a small issue though. The battery would charge properly overnight for the first week or so. Then I noticed that the battery wasn't getting charged (no charging indicator) but a reboot would fix the issue and the battery would start charging again. This morning, the battery won't charge at all, even with a reboot. It shows 51% and discharging. I tried different chargers but none seem to have an effect. I haven't had a chance to plug it into a laptop yet to see if the USB port is broken. Has anyone else had battery issues after upgrading? If the USB port is indeed broken, would a charging dock (Touchstone?) charge the TP?
Might be Cable problem
Hi,
I've been using this rom for about 3 days and didn't noticed any problems in charging. What I had in the earlier days is battery drain in lowest clock frequency. Then i rebooted it 5 to 6 times and then problem got solved also deep sleep started working.
You can check the cable and the charging adapter. It might be the blacksheep.

Thanks for your reply. I tried using other chargers and cables and nothing seems to make a difference. Oddly enough, the charge has dropped to 15% and if I leave it plugged in all day/night, it doesn't drop beyond whatever % it was last at. As an example, if I leave it unplugged and the charge drops to 10%, it will stay at 10% when the TP is plugged in. The battery icon also shows charging for a minute or so, then stops again.
Just as a follow, at least one other user has this problem. See the 4.4.4 thread in the developer section. Unfortunately, I cannot post in a developer until I have at least 10 posts. Sigh.

battery charge rate question

My Nokia 8 shows charging on the lock screen and after few minutes it shows the time left to fully charge.
Just then I noticed my phone was on 19% and lock screen was on when I plugged in the charger. On the lock screen above the fingerprint icon it read charging rapidly and then it changed to charging slowly and went back and forth a couple of times, then went just said charging. I can replicate it 100%. Does what it says on the screen really mean it was charging slow and fast and fluctuating in between it?
Phone running oreo beta latest and using stock cable and charger that was supplied. Ampere shows 2910m.
What do you guys make of it.
From 19% to full charge the lock screen shows 3hours. Is that right for Quick Charge?
TIA
I have exactly the same experience with the supplied charger and other QC 3.0 chargers. I tested all the chargers in my house and found my old QC 2.0 Samsung charger is able to constantly rapid charge the phone. I have not yet been able to test of it is actually faster, will update when my battery runs out.
The same here.
I have a QC 3.0 certified charger and it is not showing fast or rapid charge. Looks like there is some issue with Nokia. It was exactly the same using Nougat.
Was able to do further testing and it seems the phone is quick charging with the supplied charger, or any other QC 3.0 charger. The supplied charger was 20 minutes quicker than my old Samsung QC 2.0 charger.
There definitely is a bug in correctly displaying charging rate when connected to QC 3.0 chargers. Also the charging estimates are about twice as high as they should be. The phone can fully charge around an hour and a half, but estimate states three plus hours.
Looks like a couple other people have noticed this issue on the Nokia support forums.

Phone charging extremely fast, then drops to actual percentage

Hi, so I'm having problems with my phones battery when charging. The phone charges to 100% in like 20 minutes, but when I disconnect it, the percentage drops to the actual percentage, i.e. 40%. This happens both with the phone turned on and with the phone turned off. And its easier to notice this when using the turbo charger.
I decided to check the charger output with Ampere and it tells me every charger I plug in delivers 5 Amps, which is impossible, as the Turbo charger has a max of 3 Amps and the other chargers I used where lower than 1 Amp.
If it helps, I'm on Stock Oreo, not rooted, and locked bootloader.
Is there any solution to this? I tried completely draining the battery and charging it fully, and it still happens.
