I bring it to fix in small repair phone center (I already give them the stock rom), hope they can flash rom stock but they turn my phone into ‘hard bricked mode’ :v, less well they format S/N @@.
That’s a awful time in my life =)), I sent it back to store. Luckily, they accept to fix it cause I just used it for 2 days (actually I told them it was factory error) and maybe they believe it true ‘opsss! So sorry’.
After my phone fixed, I root it again, and this time I did really carefully so ‘Your device has rooted’ Bravo! =)). And ‘Peaceful time’ long last 4months, I just install SDMaid and run Luckypatcher to crack SDMaid FREE up to SDMaid PRO, and used SDMaid to cleanup the phone, then my phone run to error ‘com.android.phone had stoped’, and I also find many ways to fix this problem, almost solution on the internet I have try but it’s not working, the finnally option, I chose to ‘reset phone to factory’ . OOOPS! My phone got ‘Soft bricked’ =.=,unfortunately I had deleted file TWRP backup @@, then I tried to flash stock rom thought TWRP but it error =.=. At this moment, I think ‘prehap I bring it to store fix it again?’ . NOPE! Im looking on the internet to find out solution to fix it (just a few days before I write this topic), finally only way to fix that is ‘SP Flash Tool’ =)), and it work! .

Not able to roote3 power with build s144
Hi,
I have moto e3 power with build number xt1706_s144_170915_row. When i am rooting and installing twrp through fastboot method, after rooting the phone goes in bootloop. The same issue was happening with build s143, however i was able to successfully root for previous build s141. I am following the same method but failing now. Any help will be great
It's my first phone that I will root (moto e3 power)
But the main problem is that, I can't unlock the bootloader , i have used adb driver but after the "fastboot devices" command , my phone's starts in fastboot mode but the connection with my PC is lost. , so please give me the link of the minimal adb and the other moto e3 power driver that you have used to unlock

Awesome post brother! I only wish I had simply read this post before messing up so much with my phone. Actually, I was messing with some magisk module (edxposed) whick bricked my device and got me stuck at a bootloop and with no recovery partition at all. (It erased my TWRP). So I used the sp flash tool and formatted the whole flash (at that time, I hadn't read this post of yours). Then I flashed my entire firmware back via the sp flash tool. So I thought that now my problem was fixed. But when I switched on my phone I saw my phone's IMEI Number gone! And the sim not working and showing invalid IMEI message. So I tried to find a fix on the internet and I found 2 solutions. First was using an app which requires the phone to support some mtk engineering mode. I followed the instructions and realised that maybe our phone Moto E3 Power doesn't support this mode. So I switched to the second solution, which required root access. So then I set off for rooting my newly unbricked phone. But I again did some mistakes:
1.) Allowed usb debugging and OEM unlocking in my phone's developer options in settings.
2.) I installed minimal ADB v1.4.3 on a windows 10 computer. Checked my phone's connection with the PC via ADB command adb devices. It worked showing some error initially (daemon not started.... Starting daemon...) and then showing some hex code signifying my device's successful connection with the PC.
3.) Used ADB command adb reboot bootloader to boot into fastboot mode. It worked too.
3.) Used fastboot command fastboot devices to check if my device is still being recognised as connected to the pc. Here came an error (the command didn't return any hex code like the adb command adb devices did. So I googled a solution which involves updating the "Android ADB interface" to "Android Bootloader interface" in the "Android device" submenu of the "Device Manager" window of the "control panel" of the pc, by updating its drivers using the "latest windows usb drivers" 8mb file which could be found very easily on the internet (searching solution for fastboot device drivers update on Google). {*Note: If you hadn't installed beforehand, any adb and fastboot drivers at all, then you will see "Other devices" submenu instead of the "Android device" submenu in the device manager window.
Also, you compulsively need to be in fastboot mode with your device attached to pc, in order to see this "other devices" submenu.} So now the fastboot devices command started working by showing the hex code like adb devices command did.
4.) Used fastboot oem unlock command to unlock the phone's bootloader. Pressed the volume up button of my phone as instructed by the warning message on my phone's screen. Unlock flow started in the minimal adb window in my pc. Finished successfully within 9-13 seconds. Another mistake now, after unlocking the bootloader, I forgot to format userdata.. Actually I didn't know about the fastboot format userdata command. I thought the fastboot -w reboot is the only way to format userdata (which wasn't working for me). Unaware of the fact that now I was going to experience a bootloop during rebooting my phone, I continued with the further steps.
5.) Used fastboot flash recovery recovery.img command to flash the unofficial twrp img which I had already placed in the minimal adb folder and renamed to recovery.img I used unofficial twrp v3.1.1 (by moderator) [which was working perfectly earlier on my phone] {link at bottom}. Successfully finished this step too. [You can use either of the two twrp: Dr. Faramroze (link provided by op) or moderator (link provided by me). Both are working fine]
6.) Used the fastboot reboot command (although it never works for me). It shows finished in the minimal adb cmd screen but the phone doesn't reboot. So I manually unplugged the device. Removed and reinserted the battery.
7.) Now rebooted to recovery screen and found the unofficial twrp successfully installed. [ Warning: After the 6th step, don't reboot your phone normally. Instead, boot into the fastboot window [hold power + vol. up] and select the boot into recovery option. This is required only for the first boot up process or else if you do a normal boot during the first boot, the stock recovery replaces our recently flashed custom recovery..
8.) Upon entering the twrp recovery during the first boot, I installed the magisk v19.3 zip I had in my external SD card. It's not necessary to root your phone right now, you may even do it later by simply rebooting from within the twrp, and later on entering recovery after your phone is all set and working and when you're free from other hassles. But I went for rooting during the first boot. And encountered an error something like: "Cannot mount data(0mb)" at the second last line. So, I could not root my phone. So I decided to root it later on and currently just have it switched on. So, I went for the reboot option in twrp.
9.) My phone started rebooting and got stuck at the boot screen with the tag Device unlocked at the lower left corner (indicating unlocked bootloader). But this was something familiar to me, I had already dealt with this error the previous time I rooted my phone. The solution was very simple. I just had to flash a no verity-otp-encrypt.zip file {included along with the twrp link} using the twrp recovery and then my device would boot properly, as it did the last time.
10.) I flashed the no verity-otp-encrypt.zip file from the twrp and got so many red line errors during the flash. (This didn't happen the last time). Every error had the same words, "cannot mount data (0mb)". So I went back to try rebooting again.
11.) Started rebooting again. This time the device didn't get stuck at boot screen, rather it went into a bootloop, rebooting again and again. Now maybe the no verity-otp-encrypt.zip file did its job and my device got free from the stuck at boot screen problem but simultaneously got caught by the bootloop error probably created due to not formatting the userdata after unlocking the bootloader. Or maybe the "cannot mount data (0mb) just ruined up my phone. Whatever the cause be, I just went for reflashing the entire firmware via the sp flash tool and temporarily forgetting all the bootloader unlocking, custom recovery, rooting, etc and live with an invalid IMEI phone without a working sim, until I find a solution on the internet.
12.) And then, I ended up here on this thread leaving my experience, and learning my mistakes from the OP's post. Very soon I will depart for the cyber cafe to try again without any mistakes this time.
At last thanks for this awesome thread.
And yes here's the link for the unofficial twrp 3.1.1 (by moderator) & the no verity-otp-encrypt.zip file:

Search Google for "Moto E3 power firmware flash file" and you will come across websites providing the flash file. The file would have a name like "Motorola_Moto_E3_Power_XT1706_MT6735M_S135_161108_6.0.1.zip". The "S135" over here is the firmware version and will vary upon the version uploaded by the site. The latest version as of today is S152_190315. I somehow managed to download a S151 file and I forgot where I downloaded it from. But you can still go for older firmware versions, and then when you're done with all the flashing and rooting and all that and your phone starts up without any error, you can go for OTA updates from within the settings>about phone>system update.

== How to unbricked Moto E3 Power (XT1706) ==
Plz follow step by step (Picture guide bellow)
1/ Prepare Stock ROM and SP Flash tool, u can download on this link and the extract it:
https://firmwarefile.com/lenovo-xt1706?_e_pi_=7,PAGE_ID10,9894486982
(ROM S135 is newest for XT1706)

S151 is newest (flash file available for download) for XT1706. [Actually S152 is latest but it's not yet available for download] So you succeeded maybe because you used the older version. Cause a guy commented that he couldn't root the newer versions but could root the older versions.

Is it necessary to uncheck preload? If yes, I think you should highlight it. Anyway, I didn't uncheck preload and the flash successfully worked for me? So what difference does it count for? Please do notify us of its significance.

I didn't remove my battery, sim or microsd card and everything worked fine for me. Also, I didn't connect my device to pc after pressing the download button in the sp flash tool. Here's what I did instead:
I kept the sp flash tool ready with all steps. Only pressing the download button remaining. Then I connected my device to the pc. As soon as you hear the device connected sound, press the download button. And the flashing process will start. If you get late in pressing the download button, you will hear another sound of device disconnected. Then you'll have to remove the usb from the device and replug it and go for trying again pressing the download button as soon as you hear the device connected sound.

Hello,
I know there are some tutorials for this already but I felt like they missed out a few steps that might not be obvious to some who are new to this.
This tutorial applies to all of Android One Device (Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V Blue, Spice Mi-498 Dream Uno).
Unlocking bootloader will lead to formating of your phone. The stuff inside your sd card is safe but all your apps and their data will be deleted.
Unlocking bootloader:
1. Download Universal ADB Driver installer from here.
2. Connect your phone and run the Universal ADB Driver installer. Click 'Install' button and a warning should pop up. Just click "Install anyway" and it should look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Download ADT Bundle from here for Win-32 Bit and from here for 64-Bit . If you are unsure which version of windows you have just download the 32-Bit one.
4. Extract the zip file in your C:\ drive like this (You can install it wherever you like but this tutorials assumes this location for simplicity). Add adb and fastboot to system path by following this tutorial . This will allow you to run adb and fastboot commands from any location on cmdline.
3. Switch off your phone. Now, Press POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP button for about 5 seconds. A menu should appear. Note: VOLUME UP allows to navigate the menu (move down the menu). Press VOLUME DOWN button for selecting/choosing fastboot. On your phone, it should say something like
Code:
=> FASTBOOT MODE...
Connect your phone to the computer if it wasn't already.
4. (Assuming Win 7) Click on start menu > Search for 'Command Prompt' and right click and select 'Run as Administrator'.
5. On command prompt, Type:
Code:
fastboot devices
If it shows something, that means we can proceed to unlocking bootloader. Otherwise, it means that the driver was not installed correctly.
6. Now, Type the following commands:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot format userdata
fastboot reboot
Now, your bootloader is unlocked.
Install a custom recovery.
1. Download custom recovery from this thread.
2. Place the download file, 'recovery.img' file in C:\ drive. (Again, you can place it anywhere but this tutorial assumes this path).
3. Run the following command (Assuming already in fastboot mode again. If not, follow the above steps to go to fastboot mode). :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img
After doing so, it should look like this:
4. Reboot your phone and you are done by typing:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Now, you have installed CWM custom recovery. On to installing root.
Rooting your phone:
1. After installing custom recovery, download Super-Su .zip file.
2. Place the .zip file on your sd-card. If your computer doesn't show your phone as MTP device, download the drivers from here.
3. Boot into recovery, by pressing POWER OFF + Volume UP button for 5 secs and choosing Recovery by pressing Volume Down (NOTE: Use Volume UP for menu navigation)
4. After booting into recovery, Choose 'Install Zip'. You can use Volume UP and Volume Down for navigating here and Power Off button for selecting a menu item.
5. Now, select 'choose zip from /external_sd' and not '/sdcard'
6. Select the Super-Su zip file you placed on your sd card and install it.
Now, Reboot your phone. It might say something like 'su may have been removed' but ignore and press 'No'.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Can you explain the necessity for using "fastboot format userdata" given "oem unlock" command in addition to unlocking the bootloader clears user data.

When I opened SuperSu after installing SuperSu through recovery, it says "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device!"
What do I do now?

3. ADB and FASTBOOT Drivers , you can download them from here
4. Original Firmware package from here
5. SuperSU Beta 2.66 from here
6. CWM Recovery , i used it in process you can use it too , worked for me ,it should work for you too.. here
7. Some Time
First Of all , download everything and install the drivers systemwide (reccomended)
1.0 Unlock your bootloader.. WARNING (THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DEVICE!)
1.1 - To do that put your phone into fastboot bode and connect it to the computer and search for adb in the programs , press windows key and search for adb , you will see a program called adb.exe don't panic and click the file! right click and open file location.
1.2 - After you will probably see fastboot and adb programs exe's good , that means you installed everything corectly congratulations!
1.3 - Shift+ Right click on a blank space and select open command window here.
1.4 - With the Device connected to pc via fastboot type in that command window ,without commas "fastboot oem unlock" that will unlock your bootloader , then type "reboot bootloader" to reboot to bootloader again. then you have to restart the phone normally and proceed to the next step.
2.0 Flashing MMB29X Image
2.1 - Put your phone into bootloader mode , power off the device and put it into bootloader mode vol.down + power then connect it to the computer ( hope you backed up your data! )
2.2 - On the computer ,copy the downloaded image file to the adb root folder that i talked in the first step then right click on the .tgz image file and extract it in there.
2.3 - Shift + Right click again on a blank space and select open command window here.
2.4 - Navigate onto the folder called "hammerhead-mmb29x" and run "flash-all.bat" file , that batch file will flash everything just take a break and relax until is finished then power up the device and configure it , wifi , google account etc..
2.5 - Copy SuperSU .zip file into sdcard directory
3.0 Custom Recovery and Root!! Finally ..
3.1 - After you completed step 2.5 power off your device and put it into bootloader mode and connect it to the computer.
3.2 - Copy "recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.5-hammerhead.img" into that adb folder that we used before and rename it into "cwm.img"
3.3 - Shift + Right Click and select open command window here and type "fastboot flash recovery cwm.img"
3.4 - After the process is finished , go straight without rebooting into recovery mode by pressing the vol. down button 2 times and press power button to select the option to enter into the recovery mode.
3.5 - Select install zip > choose zip from sdcard > 0/ > and select supersu zip file , then install it! then go back and reboot the phone , IT WILL PROBABLY ASK YOU TO ROOT THE DEVICE , JUST PRESS NO AND LEAVE THE PHONE TO REBOOT !!
3.6 - Wait the phone to reboot and enjoy your rooted device!
3.7 - Press Thanks if i helped :good:
You've come a long way in a short time...
But your tutorial needs a proper proof-read. Did you walk through these steps yourself to make sure that the instructions are correct?
"SuperSU Beta 2.66" - why not the newest version?
"Usb Cable ,preferably micro-usb" - what other type will fit?
Step 1.0 You haven't mentioned in big red capital underlined letters "This will wipe your phone".
Step 1.4 "then you have to restart the phone normally" - why, since the next step is "Put your phone into bootloader mode"?
Step 2.1 "Put your phone into bootloader mode , power off the device and put it into bootloader mode" doesn't really make sense.
Step 2.4 You haven't mentioned in big red capital underlined letters "This will wipe your phone".
Step 3.2 says "rename it into "cwm.img"" and the following flash command refers to "zip".
Step 3.3 "type "flash recovery cwm.zip"" - wrong. "Fastboot flash recovery cwm.img".
But kudos for writing the tutorial and posting it as a help to others. Can you correct at least the errors so that new users don't get in a mess? And this time I suggest that you then walk through it step by step to be sure that you've got it all right.

Really? I still see v2.66, "preferably micro-USB"... I stopped reading after that.
And you haven't confirmed that you've walked through the instructions to test that they now work.
Have you heard the saying "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"?
And finally a general message - maybe I should add it to my signature:
(P.S. A plea to everyone in these forums. Don't reply to a simple 1-page thread post copying the entire post to which you're replying. I've already read the original - I don't need to read it again. Copy the original post only where necessary - e.g. if it's on a previous page. And even then copy only the point to which you're replying, not the entire post. The result will be clearer and shorter threads which will be more enjoyable to read.)
While we do appreciate your effort , the guide is incomplete and incoherent.
It might brick phones of new users.

If you want to go back to stock, use flashtool and flash whatever version you want (FTF method), I had an issue with flashing CM too, it said this is for aries but this device is z3c etc. Is this your problem?

I definitly want CyanogenMod 12.1 on my Z3C. Is it still possible?

Few things you can do:
1- Download the ROM again, might be corrupted download.
2- Flash Lollipop FTF(not necessary), Flash TWRP recovery, boot into recovery, (If it asks, swipe to allow modifications to system), wipe everything (system,cache,dalvik,data), flash the ROM through TWRP recovery.
3- If it gives the error that I talked about in my first message, let me know.

I tried #1 but I'm already stuck with the "SONY XPERIA" blackscreen at the very beginning when booting the smartphone. I suppose it's because of the failed installation and the not choosing of "Wipe clean/factory reset".
I hope that still doesn't count as bricking. I let the accumulator run dry and reload the battery and try to get into the Cyanogenmod Recovery again. Right now nothing is possible. =/
I hope that doesn't count as bricking. If so: These special OTG USB thingies fix a lot I heard, should I get myself one?

If you are on CM recovery, then there is the problem. AFAIK you can't flash anything through that, so you have to push TWRP on your device using fastboot and then flash AOSP/CM rom you want.

That's called a soft-brick. You should install the ADB drivers for your phone on your PC and then download TWRP for your phone (.img file) and rename the TWRP you downloaded to recovery.img .
You should put the recovery.img into the folder where your ADB drivers are installed, then Shift + RClick on that folder then select Open Command Window Here. Connect your phone in fastboot mode to your PC (Keep Vol. Up button then plug in your device). Type the following commands:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
fastboot reboot
If you've done it all correctly, your phone should boot into TWRP recovery. From there you should go to wipe-advanced wipe and wipe your Cache,Dalvik Cache, System, Boot. DO NOT REBOOT NOW. You should go back to main menu and choose install, then choose the ROM you want to install. It should flash it if you don't have a corrupted file. After flashing, you can safely reboot your phone, don't forget to flash GApps if you want Google features on your Cyanogen, hope I helped!

K, 90% of this works. I got the TWRP "app" and I cleaned the cache and all that, but I had to reboot. You see:
To transfer new media I need to remove my external SD from the z3c to my old LG. The LG is connected with my PC and is therefore a kind of card-reader. I tried 2 different nightly thingies.
I still get extraction errors, see:
h t t p : / / t i n y u r l . c o m / h j j d 4 o b
I downloaded 2 different nightlies 6 times already. I dunno. Somethings off here.
Also: For what is the recovery.img? Should I install it afterwards?
I have to restart the phone in order to replug the SD card and get recognigzed by the TWRP.
I did everything from this:

Because of Error 7.
Now I get Error 6.....

OK, your problem is that you messed up your system, so wiping it is not gonna solve this issue. You need to download a stock firmware file (an FTF file) and flash it through Flashtool, because your device name seems to be "." which is why you were getting "error 7". As for the recovery.img, you will use it to flash TWRP recovery on your phone. TWRP app doesn't work correctly if you don't flash it to your recovery partition so do as follows:
1- Download Flashtool, install the drivers of your device for Flashtool (you can search it on xda forums), download an FTF file, any of them should do, but as you will install CM 12.1, I recommend a Lollipop FTF.
2- Flash the firmware through Flashtool. This will turn your phone into a stock one. Unlock your bootloader if you haven't already, which I believe you have.
3- Flash the TWRP recovery through fastboot (follow my earlier instructions)
4- After you open TWRP recovery do the wipes, note that you can still connect your phone to your computer for file transfers in TWRP Recovery.
5- Install the CM zip file through recovery
IF YOU GET ERROR 7 SAYING :this package is for device: D5803, D5833, z3c; this device is aries.
7- Open the CM 12.1 zip file on your computer and proceed to META-INF/com/google/android directory.
8- In that folder you should see "updater-script", extract it to somewhere and open it with Notepad.
9- Once you open it press Ctrl + H to change some of the lines.
10- Write "D5833" without the quotation marks in the first space and write "aries" without the quotation marks into the second space and click replace all.
(This will change all "D5833" to "aries" in the file therefore making it usable for your device) Save the file and put it into the directory of where you found it, replace it with the original.
11- Now put the edited .zip file into your phone storage, and flash it through recovery. It should work. :good:

I think he shouldn't flash TWRP on boot partition, as you wrote. That might cause further issues. I am flashing my recovery through fastboot without problems using next command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

It won't matter. Because when he flashes the CM, it'll flash the CM Recovery along with it.

Yea I know, but before that, he needs to have a working TWRP on right partition to be able to even flash any rom.

That's why I wrote those steps for him/her to follow. If you flash TWRP to boot partition, when you boot the phone, it will go straight into TWRP. If you flash it to recovery partition, you'll have to boot it manually.

Logical step, didn't think about it that way, I assumed OP knew how to enter recovery

FlashTool says the firmware has been flashed so I don't understand what are you trying to do after that? After flashing the FTF file you should flash TWRP through "FASTBOOT". Then follow the instructions.
K, did everything you said. Read everything five-times. Replaced "D5833" to "aries" and all that stuff. Still getting ERROR 7.
The phone is still in TWRP Recovery from FASTBOOT / BOOTLOAD because I "constantly" charge it to stay in recovery. If I had found this Mount option earlier... kinda feel stupid for that. So I still get ERROR 7. I copied the modified .zip to internal storage and SD card to see if I get the same error twice. And yeah.
Exact error message in red letters:
"Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file ' /external-sd/cm-12.1-20160918-NIGHTLY-z3c.zip'
Updating partition details...
... done"
So I forethought and cleaned the cache and need somewhat new instructions.
Also:
I suppose with "Advanced Wipe" and your instructions you meant this points, right?:

OK, so try flashing TWRP to recovery partition to get you out of TWRP after you boot by writing these commands in the ADB:,
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot recovery
This will flash the TWRP to recovery partition and will boot you into TWRP. As you do this you won't have a go at the recovery again but for this time. You can reach the TWRP by pressing the Vol. Down button when the phone vibrates at the boot. Also if you want to force shutdown your phone you can use Vol. Up + Power Button combination for a few secs.

K, cool feature. Got it all set up now, but back to the main subject:
Is it even possible to install CyanogenMod 12.1 on Sony Z3C?
Hai guys...
This is a problem that i have encountered myself whrn using the phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4g. I was trying to update my system using inbuilt system updater.. Don't know how but it suddenly finished installing and promted me to reboot.But after reboot i got stuck on the Fastboot screen..
I couldn't access my recovery options as well i had twrp already installed..
Since then i surfed the net and also XDA to find a solution to this..
Referring a lot of threads a found a way and made it work and i would like to share it with you..
So first read my guide carefully if u are a noobie and wish to learn it step by step..
So first u need a pc..
Install abd drivers on pc,(i will provide all the download link later)
Now i shall say if this happens to u probably your whole Rom must be gone with ur internal data.So i suggest u use a new rom instead.Since i have tried a lot of roms in this section the one which looked good without any errors is the CM14 Rom..
So download it..If you are stuck in fastboot screen u cannot copy it yet onto your phone.
So now u got to download the latest version of TWRP into the folder where the ADB is installed...i.e inside the folder
Its default on Windows pc is
Code:
C:\\Program Files\Minimal Adb and Fastboot
Ok if u have copied the twrp file into the adb folder u have to rename it as just "twrp" for ur convenience (ignore ")
Then open a command prompt there by pressing SHIFT and Right mouse button
Plug your phone into pc and just switch it on (since you have the problem you don't need to manually go to fastboot ..it will directly goto the fastboot)
Otherwise press the power button and the volume down button together for the fastboot screen
Just type
Code:
fastboot devices
After executing you can see a device if have connected.. If this happens we can carry on
Then type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
After this twrp will install on ur phone..
Now this
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
This will take the phone directly to the TWRP
There first u need to click on wipe >>advanced wipe>>select everything except your external sd (if u have one)>> Swipe
After it is complete copy the rom files to the internal storage of the device(Now it will be connected to the pc)
After completely copying Click on Install>> select the rom from the internal >> swipe
Then wait for the rom to flash..
After flashing wipe the davlik cache..
Also flash Gapps.. if u want root u can also flash supersu as well
Now reboot the phone ..n ..enjoy
Hit the button if u liked my post and also feel free to comment if u have any doubts (quote me or i wont know)..
Here is download links

"After it is complete copy the rom files to the internal storage of the device(Now it will be connected to the pc)"
How can I copy the Rom File since internal memory has no ROM and can't copy ROM file from PC to Mobile storage during TWRP and FASTBOOT state!

Redmi note 5 pro(whyred) A sad story
Sir in my case I unlocked the bootloader and installed ressurection remix v7 using RedWolf recovery but the system did not boot up instead it kept on booting into fastboot mode. I thought of installing some other rom via rw recovery but I was unable to access the internal storage or external_sd via rw recovery.I even tried twrp recovery but my phone was not being detected in my pc..I want to know why...Why I was not able to use MTP to transfer files to my phone... Luckily I had an escape route feom my demise and it was the Mi Flash tool...I locked my bootloader again and now I am too scared to mess with anything on my phone....
Hello everyone,
I've bought my phone second hand and the sellor didn't tell me the bootloader was unlocked... I feel screwed, I can't take any pictures.
From what I've learned with some search, I need to get the drm keys back, with this software XperiFix. Does the latest version work with my build? I see nowhere if it's compatible or not, and I don't have 20€ to lose...
Thanks for your time

Sony have become wise to Xperiafix and if you use an old vesrion on new firmware it'll bork your phone. I know you want the 'free' version, but seriously, is peace of mind worth $20. Pay it once and you'll get fix updates for forever.
sToRm// is still in development with his fix and I'm pretty sure he supports all the latest builds. The 3.1 version I used connects online to get the latest TWRP and fix versions.
Drop him a line on his support page at and ask him.

Thanks, I want to buy the soft, I meant that I want to be sure it'll work if I buy it because I can't afford to spend 20€ for nothing.
I've seen him replying to someone with the same question
Where he says "It does! You have to use the manual mode in XperiFIX and select the related TWRP and Magisk, then start the fix."
But honestly I have no idea what that means and I'm a huge noob, without any guide with pictures I won't be able to do anything...
Bonus question : Is there a way to make mobile payment work again or did I lose that forever?
Thanks
Omg are you really pay for free drmfix :laugh:

I would like to get the phone as stock as possible. Do the links you provided allow me to use mobile payment applications?
I'm sorry I'm a noob and I have no idea what to do to get the phone as close as possible as brand new
You have unlocked bootloader, payments won't work without magisk

So that means it's possible to make it work? Very nice.
Let's say I've found 3.1 xiperifix for free, but it doesn't detect my phone (blue led, sony drivers installed) and I have nothing as such as "manual mode". Do you know why?
I haven't flashed anything yet, do I need to flash TWRP? How/when do I install Magisk? Can you please be explicit in what to do, if you have time of course. Thank you!
1. Download flashtool
2. Open Flashtool install latest available software which ends "20" via Xperifirm which is inside of Flashtool
3. Press vol down key and insert usb-c cable to your computer
4. if you see green notification light then your device is ready to flash
5. After flashing is done you need next step
6. pull cable out and press vol up key and insert cable
7. now if you see a blue light your ready to flash twrp recovery
8. Download twrp recovery name it twrp.img and copy it to "C:/adb" folder
9. install adb & fastboot installer from xda "look google" and get fastboot drivers ready
10. open cmd, write " cd C:/adb" write "fastboot devices" if you see your device in the list then your ready to flash twrp
11. flash twrp "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img"
12. pull cable out
13. download tweaked and drm fix included kernel from development forum
14. press vol down and power on your device (cable not plugged in)

18. Turn off the device. Press vol up key and insert cable. blue notification light there then you are ready to flash kernel
19. extract from Kernel "Xperia XZ1 Compact (G8441).zip" and open Flash-boot.bat
20. when thats done, unplug cable, press vol down and power key, after display shows something release power key
21. booted into twrp now flash 2-Patching.zip and 3-Magisk.zip then boot your phone.

I can't seem to find the software you've captured. Only v1.8 not v1.9. Would the 1.8 work though?
For now I have installed 3 drivers :
The 15 seconds installer https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
The google driver from android studio
The official sony driver https://developer.sony.com/develop/drivers/
I have also disabled the Windows 10 thing regarding drivers about signature enforcement
Also I'm using USB 2.0

You need FlashTool:
http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
I uploaded the driver package, so you don't have to download the entire package:
https://www6.zippyshare.com/v/lNT3x7mv/file.html
You should install the usb driver for xz1C:
https://developer.sony.com/file/download/xperia-xz1-compact-driver/
If you have windows 8 or newer you have to boot into unsigned driver install mode:
https://www.maketecheasier.com/install-unsigned-drivers-windows10/
If you start the installer, select the two drivers and then click on install.
You will see a new driver install window. Don't click on next.
Move into the following folder %temp%/flashtool and copy your xz1c driver into it.
Now move back to the driver install click on next and click trough the unsigned error messages.
After that you have installed the needed drivers and you can go further with fastboot mode.

Edit : I'm not able to put any data into the phone (windows explorer freezes) and I can't use adb push because my device is not found
Fastboot devices finds my phone, but adb devices doesn't

you need to go twrp recovery and format data not wipe data & cache, format data will ask you to type "yes" after that reboot twrp again and now you can move files to twrp.
---------- Post added at 07:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 PM ----------
boot in to twrp recovery and go to "Wipe" then "Format Data" then type yes and after that is done, reboot again to twrp and you can now copy files to device.
Alright so I did everything, flashed everything said in the 22 steps, and I can take pictures but still can't pay with my mobile. I got an error message from PayLib because I am root or I have an application that allows root or something
I think I'll live without mobile payment... That's a shame but well, that's what I got for not checking properly a second hand device.
Quick and last question : Can I reset the phone in the settings without losing anything I've just done? Or will I lose the different zip flash I did? I want to be able to sell my phone without screwing the next buyer
Also, thanks everyone for you time and patience with me! You were amazing

if you tell next buyer about activate the (4. zip file) a module in magisk, you can wipe your data. just remove your google account before sell because even rooted wiped phones asks previous owners account to login.
just because of drm keys for camera get wiped, i will also not sell my xz1 compact and use it as long it works.
