There is a samsung device being announced tomorrow. I've had exclusive one on one time with it as I work for a wireless company. Samsung rep has been into my store to let my fellow employees and I to play with it. I was not required to sign an NDA which means I can talk about it. I think Samsung is really killing it with this device, it's going to be really hard for other manufacturers to compete with samsung on this one. Any questions?
Do you know if Bixby Al app will be available for other Samsung phones or tablets? If yes, let me know?!

Do all three of these companies have the same press liason officer? Sounds like they're all reading from one script.
Guess we know where the Nexus line will be built now!

This is awesome. Those of us in smaller Asian countries do not get access to any of the Google phones officially. Motorola already has a wide distribution network and a huge line up of models. This is a great news. More Googly phones for the rest of the world. Can't wait to see the next big release.
Google is going to buy Motorola mobility for 12.5billion US Dollars.
Are you happy with it? No Samsung technology for next next pure Google devices such as super AMOLED plus screen...

Eh...Apple will do what Samsung did in Australia, find a biased judge to side with them.
Uh, Samsung tablets and smartphones are banned in Australia.

Or give him a i-phone and i-pad.
I was so happy today when I learned that Google is suing Apple...
Google claims that Apple is violating their patents and thus all the imports of the iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers need to stop immediately. I really hope they win because Apple deserves a taste of their own medicine.

Google Sues Apple Finally
In a related matter..Apple won in the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit but Google suing Apple is still in the process. There is still some hope left. If Google wins then its a major victory but after Samsung's loss it just seems more unlikely

Apple Wins in Samsung Lawsuit
I'm more interested in finding out what the patents in question are. If they are technical or design patents it's Karma coming back to take a bite out of Apple.
Here is another article on it.
And I also hope that Google wins!
Finally, some action

Yay! I really hope they win this! Then no more apple!
Ohhh yea! Hope Google wins and teaches Apple a lesson!
At least Apple can't buy their way out of patent disputes with Google like they could with most others because Google has the means and incentive to fight them all the way, and hopefully Google is gonna do what we all hope and use all those Motorola patents to defend manufacturers using Android and maybe get Apple off the S3's back.
it seems like samsung and google are finally taking sides together and tries to defeat the evil master apple
i hope google wins, gang up that b*tch!!! >

Hopefully... Google wins but I can see this case going on for years. At the end, I think its just going to be a settle for an undisclosed amount...

It's more likely Google ends up promising to drop the case if Apple drops some of their current and future legal actions.

Yeah, don't care what they call it. Google phone sounds ok to me.
Nothing but clickbait
A incompetent writer wrote a sensationalist article with a sensationalist title to get more clicks. Just look at his older articles.
Who would have thunk?
edit: A "more" correct title will be "Google kills Android as a brand name".
Was that written by a 7th grader?

I do too, but that's because 'Droids" are verizon-rebranded and they are historically gigantic piles of crap. I feel like comparing my nexus 4 to any phone verizon has called a droid is just an outright insult, honestly.
On the flipside, though, if a phone runs android or any android distro I use the blanket android term, similarly to how I use the term linux box for any pc running any linux distro

You kind of have to look at Google's motives for Android in the first place. They saw the importance of the future of mobile and that iOS was in the process of owning it. They launched Android primarily to protect their advertising sales business and then started monetizing content sales through Play. So if their motivation is advertising and content sales what difference does it make whose name is on the physical device or if people know their device is "Android?" I'm sure they aren't pleased with the forking taking place (Amazon) or the overlays being added that F-up the update process (100MM Galaxy's sold) but at the end of the day their well positioned in mobile and raking in tons of profit from mobile advertising and content sales. Google makes the same in those categories whether the masses buy a “Galaxy,” “HTC Sense,” or a Nexus where Android’s still fairly prominent.
“Galaxy” now leads “Android” as a smartphone search term which kind of tells you what volume and marketing does for consumer brand awareness. Samsung Electronics spent $12B in marketing and promotion in 2012. HTC’s market capitalization (the value of the entire company) is only $8B. That amount of marketing spend buys you a lot of aided and unaided brand awareness.
"Samsung ‘Galaxy' has become a more popular search term than Android for web users searching for information about Android-powered smartphones, highlighting many handset makers' fears that Samsung is becoming bigger than the other Android manufacturers and that the smartphone market is slowly becoming a two-handset, rather than an operating systems, race."

You need to look at this long term. Samsung definitely has the ambitions to become a new apple, i.e. build "their own ecosystem". OS (Tizen), advertising, app store etc etc.
As they already have hooked enough of users on their brand/touch wiz, next step will be to release tizen and make sure there is a certain mass of critical apps and after this samsung can start migrating users over.
Users don't give a damn if it is android/qnx/tizen/firefox os or whatever. As long as it looks the same and feels the same. Which what touchwiz is for.
So I guess el goog will need to do something if it is already not too late. Sadly the motorola is not the solution.

Nothing officially Confirmed.... Just rumours at this time. Samsung always has a lifecycle of 1 year on their products. The original gear sort a speak is just released and not even on its full potential.
I really think it will at IFA Berlin.....
Do not think we need another thread on this topic.
Introduce the S5 the next Gear.
Summer start shipping.
May get the next Generation of Gear, IF IT IS WORTH SPENDING $300 or so on an upgrade in the Fall.
We do not need multiple threads on this out of date and old information.
