MetroPCS 626s and AT&T Roms compatable - Desire 626 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just was given a MetroPCS 626s phone, unlocked the sim, updated it too the latest 2.17.1550.13 MetroPCS rom, then Unlocked the bootloader and put supersu on it, I put my AT&T sim in it, changed my APN to AT&T, I can send SMS and MMS but just cannot recive SMS,MMS
Anyone know if the GSM roms are interchangeable, would I be able to flash a AT&T rom onto this MetroPCS device without being s-off?

[Q] Help with SIM unlock AT&T HTC One (paying for help)

Hello,
I recently got HTC One locked to AT&T network and bought code online but it didn't work. I also made sure SIM card was active and had positive amount, not locked by PIN or PUK, phone is not stolen or blacklisted. Did factory reset and tried again but no luck..
First I tried it on stock phone:
- Android 4.1.2,
- Baseband version 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L,
- Build number 1.26.502.10 CL166754 release-keys
Then I followed this guide [Tutorial] Root, Unlock, Recovery and flashing a Custom ROM ... unlocked bootloader, flashed CWM recovery, installed stock rooted 1.26.502.15 Android 4.1.2. I did not install custom rom/kernel.
Tried unlocking with code but again, no luck.
After that I followed this guide [GUIDE] How to Return to 100% Stock ... I got S-Off with revone, restored using a RUU.exe, removed Tampered.
Atm this is info from bootloader:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.44.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.14.3250.13

(bootloader) battery-voltage: 4183mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: off
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP

Do I have to relock bootloader and try applying the code again?
Please help me solve this problem. I'm willing to donate 20$, to whoever help me solve problem.
Should I try updating 4.4.2 zip OTA and then applying the code? Will that help anyhow?

Why did you started a new thread? You already have one here with the exact same info...

[Q] HELP! No Service - SOLVED!

I hope someone can help me.
I stupidly flashed ViperOne on my HTC One with C Spire Wireless without reading the thread thoroughly. After I flashed the rom, I got several force close errors and the phone kept rebooing itself about every 2-3 minutes. I rebooted in recovery, wiped data/cache/dalvik cache ect and went back to Liquid 4.3. I have noticed now that I do not have any phone service nor do I have any data connection. I tried to flash CM10 to change my CDMA Subscription but the settings do not stick. The settings keep reverting back to NV instead of RUIM/SIM.
I also noticed on my bootloader, the radio version and basband are missing:
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
OpenDSP - v31.120.274.0617
OS - BLANK
It appears that I have no radio? I have the radio from C Spire Wireless in a .img format and a flashable zip. I have flashed the radio repeately and despite twrp saying the flash was successfull, I still have no phone service. I confirmed in my sim card app that the sim card is working fine. Does ViperRom contain its own radio? Do I have some firmware missing? Any help is appreciated. All i have is a fancy paperweight right now.
FYI: there is no RUU for my carrier

For those who would like to know how I fixed this, SPECIFICALLY C SPIRE WIRELESS USERS,
I changed my CID to match Sprint - SPCS_001, instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317536
I then relocked my bootloader using the command: fastboot oem lock
Downloaded and ran the latest Sprint RUU from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576995 **if you do not change your cid, the RUU will not work**
Once the RUU was complete, I then unlocked the bootloader via HTC Dev: http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/
I then flashed TWRP recovery via fastboot
Flashed Liquid 4.4.2 from here: http://teamcspire.com/index.php?/forum/27-htc-one-m7wls/
Once everything booted up, I was back on C Spire Network with working voice and data. I also changed my CID back to C Spire - UTSI_005.
If for some reason you don't have voice or data, you can flash a CM10 rom from Cyanogen's website, go into Settings-More-CDMA Subscription and change the setting from NV to RUIM/SIM.
If the above doesn't work, here is a flashable C Spire Radio :

[Q] Will Flashing RUU Over Sim Unlocked Sprint 510 Re-Enable The Lock? [A] No it wont

Hello,
I bought an Unlocked Sprint Desire 510 from eBay here in India. It works good with my CDMA Network Sim card but last night out of no where Hands Free Activation Popup started to show up. Also there's a new Update out for this model. So I was thinking of flashing the latest RUU.
But my concern is that will it re-lock the device for Sprint or I will still be able to use My Indian RUIM?
Extra Info :
Bootloader Menu shows :
Tampered, Unlocked and S-ON.
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-1.46.40.0721
There's also an option named SIM Lock. What is it for?
It will be very helpful if you can help me find the best solution.
Thanks in advance.

I definitely wouldn't risk it. More than likely, with this phone, you'll be locked down again

Thanks for replying. I went against the odds and flashed the RUU risking to lock down the mobile.
But, you know what? It didn't get locked.
Instead it fixed few of the broken parts:
1. Selfie Camera is now detected by Camera Apps (Stock and Custom) and works too. It didn't worked out of the box(as stated by eBay.in seller).
2. Move to SD Card works now for apps that support it.
3. Better Battery Life than before.
So, All who bought this mobile from eBay India for Reliance CDMA network, go forward and flash latest stock RUU and enjoy Front Cam, Move to SD and better Battery.
But keep few things in mind:
1. You will have to flash Stock recovery first.
2. Than Re-lock the bootloader.
3. Flash the RUU.
4. Boot into Bootloader/Fastboot and unlock bootloader again.
5. Flash/Boot-into TWRP recovery and MOUNT /system.
6. Navigate to /system/apps/and rename HTCSetupWizard.apk to HTCSetupWizard.apk.bak and HTCSetupWizard.odex to HTCSetupWizard.odex.bak .
* The above step is needed to bypass Hands-Free-Activation and complete the boot process.
7. You may even root the ROM if you want to by flashing Super-SU-Vxx.zip .
Now you are good to go.
If you just booted to TWRP in step 5, you may now even Flash it if you like to. But that would stop you from Updating through OTA.
Also Note that when an OTA Update arrives after this before starting the update process, use any root explorer file manager app and rename the files to original state from step 6, and once OTA gets installed follow from Step 4 Again. If you had Flashed TWRP than you will need to re-flash Stock recovery before you can install OTA Update.

[Q] My AT&T HTC One M7 showing up as International after root.

I just got this phone yesterday. It wan't working right so I rooted it. I used Windroid to unlocked Booter, Flashed Recovery with TRWP, and Rooted with SuperSU.
I installed custom kernal "ElementalX" and whenever I installed "MaximusHD" it says my phone is a International HTC One. Is it safe to use my USA AT&T Sims Card in this phone? Did I miss something up? or does it read as International after unlocking it? Will I get charged anything for using my Sims Card in this phone?

International = carrier unlocked. You can use any sim card you want in this phone if its an international version.
If its am at&t version you can only use at&t sim card unless you sim-unlock the phone.
Post the output of "fastboot getvar all" and we'll tell you what your phone is (remove IMEI / serialno).

This is the first time I ever rooted so I have no clue what Fastboot Getvar All is. Is it a Google Play App?
It's a USA AT&T Branded Phone for sure. I was there whenever she got the phone.

Yes its an at&t version and will only works with at&t sim card unless its sim-unlocked. So if I understand correctly, the maximus hd installer told you it was an international version when flashing the rom? There is nothing to worry about here, the at&t version is almost identical to the international version hence why the maximus hd installer detected it as an international version.

Attempting to return m7 to stock to unlock phone for all sim cards.

Hi all,
I've recently destroyed my current contracts phone, and have reacquired my old HTC One m7 as a backup, however it's currently locked to O2-UK, and I need to unlock it to take my EE sim. I have had an unlatching code from O2 which SHOULD unlock the phone for use with any sim card. However, because I have rooted it, the unlatch code gives an "Incorrect code" error every time, so I guess I'm gonna have to return it to stock to unlock, then potentially reroot. My issue is I am struggling to find a stock O2 RUU file, presumably because the handset is so old, all the links I've found are dead.
My getvar all info is as follows:

The four o2 RUUs posted in the "Lollipop RUU' thread are still available for download.
Direct link to the latest version: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023702662
Don't forget to flash using htc_fastboot.exe (the standard fastboot.exe won't work)
Btw many owners of the M7 were able to sim unlock using this unlock code method simply by flashing a "close to stock" custom rom (i.e ARHD) instead of going back full stock using a ruu.

Just a quick reply to say thankyou very much to alray for your advice, I managed to unlatch my handset by flashing ARHD to the phone, entered the code which was accepted this time, and im now back running ViperOne again. Nice one mate. :good:
