Bored of the generic boot loader sound?
Got a clipped sound file you want to use?
Phone rooted? Got a file explorer?
The sound file needs to be converted to .ogg, i have found a site "media.io", upload your sound file and convert to .ogg.
Once downloaded copy to your SDCard, and then using the rooted file explorer move to /system/etc
Reboot, shzaam
Is this true? Have you test it?

Cos if you don't you'll be stuck in never ending boot loop. I believe the script in the zip is not made to overwrite the build.prop, but to change existing files.

Although flashing will not work, alarms, notifications and ringtones (i.e. non-system sounds) can still be easily extracted from the archive and copied to their respective folders manually...

Nope, no need for root. What I meant was to put those sounds under Ringtones, Alarms and Notifications folders on either int. or ext. SD card. This will make them available for choosing in sound settings.

Hi guys if anybody wants to enable the gyroscope here is a little guide to enable it
You must
1. rooted
2. on 6.0 marshmallow
Go to this download link and download https://mega.nz/#!pEEGFLbJ!scUWYUCZ_uGM7TyaaJPu7O8YfVgnk4DyCT7jSWCW35E
Then use root explorer and navigate to /system/etc/permissions and place the xml file inside with permissions of rw-r--r-- (0644) once changed, reboot then gyroscope should be enabled.
I dont want or take any credit for this post or guide as I found the details and links on here.
ENJOY!

I cant even put the file inthe permissions map, when i try, it says something like "this map is a read only map, do you want to change it to r/w" and if i click yes it says "operation failed"
just copy it to /system/etc/permissions directory with root explorer or total commander. You must give root permission to that app! check it!

If you would've read carefully on @sokkoban's Thread, You could see that he fixed Gyroscope for v2.0, so no need for you to do it anymore.

It didn't even say system.img. I don't remember what it was. But there was no way to extract it and wasn't a img file , it was just some weird file type that I never heard of.

I think the old app crashes because of the libs. You need to flash the zip file. Just installing the apk doesn't work.
