So, as the title says, I'm having a lot of troubles with ghost touch in my Moto G. Is there any chance to calibrate the touch screen? I remember that I can do that on older phones, but didn't find the option anywhere.
If it helps in anyway, it started several days after it fell off and the screen got broken.
I activated the developer settings and the option that shows the touchs over the screen (sometimes are over six!) and what I do to make it work is putting my hand over the screen and then I unlock it, it kinda "calibrate" the screen in a rusty way.

I'm not sure if it's just me... but I noticed the active display on my moto x (t-mo) is not active all the time. The good example is.. when the phone display is off (asleep) and you pick up the phone or move the phone, it is supposed to display the time and that pad lock - so you don't have press the lock key to get the time.
On my phone, that works for the most part... but after a while (and I can't figure out what is the trigger/cause), the active display would stop working. When that happens and phone display is off... i pick up/move the phone... screen is still blank. I now need to press the lock button on the side to bring up the unlock screen.
I did find that rebooting the phone will fix this. So, i want to see if anyone else is seeing this behavior, or if I should see about getting moto to fix/replace it - since I just received the phone yesterday.

Do you have a screen protector?
after asking on the moto support site.. the issue may be related to one of the apps. So, I unselected all but the messaging/mail apps, rebooted and things seem to be back to normal now. Make sure you uncheck the box that automatically adds the app to active display and pare it down to the essential apps that really need/use active display.
Hey guys,
I got my new Moto X AT&T XT 1058 today which is unlocked. So when i was browsing the net using Chrome i found something rare on the screen. In the bottom right side corner it says something like this "tell me more" inside a small circle which can be seen if you focus on it and also somethings on the top which says "talk more, touch less". Can be seen more clearly on boot screen . So can anyone help me with this? Like is it a display issue or nothing to be worried about it? Also this screen is kinda yellowish or chrome. why?
It sounds like you may have received a phone that was previously used as a display model and you're seeing burn-in of the text that would have been shown while it was on display. Since the Moto X uses an AMOLED screen burn-in is an unfortunate possibility and can't be reversed once it occurs.
Hello xda, i just bought this LG G Flex D955 which the touch screen is partial working, the lower touch screen (back/mannage apps , tabs) and a part from the middle of the screen, and has some tiny black spots on the edge of the screen which i had on other phones but touch screen worked perfectly. The glass is not cracked/scratched in any way, it doesn't seem that it was dropped (too bad) cause the edges looks good... the phone looks 9.5/10, the guy that sold it to me told me that the problem came "when he updated the android", maybe it's true, any sollutions? it has android 4.4.2, and i used it for 2 days, works like a charm...tried to bend it, push on the screen and the edges....no help/.
I bought it as broken, really wanna fix it without buying a new display any help? at least a website where i can buy a digitizer+glass without display :?
Same Here, any solution till now? Yesterday V10 bootlooped now back on 4.4.2)
Hi everyone this morning my phone just kinda rebooted out of nowhere and some vital functions are not working.
First of all, my cellphone es a Motorola Moto G 2 (2014) and I'm running Android 6.0
Here I'll make a list of the problems and if someone can help me or instruct me which is the best subreddit to post ir it would be very appreciated.
1) The "home" button(integrated in the screen) and the little square that helps you change between apps are not working. Although both vibrate when I touch them, nothing happens in the screen.
2)I can't double swype from the top of the screen to access the quick settings. I can do it once but not twice.
3)The notifications are not working.
4)The phone doesn't lock. When I touch the block button, the screen goes dark, but when I touch it again, I am not required to swype up to unlock the phone.
Thank you so much for reading, and if someone could help me it would be great
I can disable the Moto action -> approach for Moto display, but the screen still wakes when I pick it up, or phone senses movement. How can I stop that so screen only turns on when I unlock it?
I'm trying to figure this out also

you gotta uncheck moto screen under screen options on moto app. thats very simple, indeed.
Lol - I had this exact same problem on my MotoX1. The phone is so sensitive, that simply typing on my computer keyboard was enough to trigger the ambient display when I had the phone lying on my desk.
Now I'm getting deja vu all over again with the MotoX4! I wish you could adjust the sensitivity.
I like the idea of showing pertinent info when I pickup the phone, but only when I actually pickup the phone.
