X527 no sound when in phone call - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

There is no sound playing when I'm calling/receiving phone calls in all apps (dialer,WhatsApp or facebook). I installed MIUI 8 official Russian it worked, then I flashed EUI 20s after that the sound stopped working now I'm on Darkness Re-defined 6.0.1 and still no sound I flashed the modem zip still not working. Music and system sounds work. Also the other side can't hear me as well.

i tried it but after finishing the process ,in the set up screen no wifi ,no sim cards detected so i cannot move further ,can you explain what exactly did you do ?

I flashed itlike in the tutorial, try to install TWRP and flash a custom ROM. My fingerprint scanner doesn't work. I'll try to install a custom ROM and see if it fixes it. If not try to dead flash it again. I have so much hatred for the Russian MIUI ROM atm.

Even after dead flashing mine still has all the probs, Incall speaker and mic not working, video recording not working, flashing that Russian miui seems like the biggest mistake, only if some developer figures out what actually that miui rom did to our device, we can fix it,

It seems like the rom has corrupted the firmware so we need the firmware zip file, flashing the firmware file will fix all the problems, some one plz provide le 2 firmware file

installed the ROM according to the instructions. Everything worked perfectly, also ROM works like a charm. But it does not resolve my problem with volume while calling. Still not understanding anything although volume is set to maximum

Hi, Did you repair sound speaker? I have a x526 and after two months and suddenly it stopped ringing, no hits or firmware change or anything.

I don't think it'll work. I haven't checked it, but from what I can see it's just the .ogg sound file for alerts, SMS and ringtones. Onejay09's ROM has all the oggs already, it is having other issues (I believe but I could be wrong).

Just to mention it.
I´, just installing 4.2.2. V8 made 4 unforced reboots since yesterday and exchange doesn´t work.
Performance seems slower to me in KitKat yet. Maybe V9 or 10 works better for me.
Did anybody try the ROM from pranavaryans?
I still have big lag when i click record in camera. Even on other camera apps.

i have just flashed the custom kitkat rom by onejay [CM11 kitkat 4.4 v9] and its wonderful...super wonderful. :good:
The problem now is that i cant use my camera. When i try to open the app, it says "Camera Error: Can't connect to camera"
I actually had this same issue when i was using CM10.1, and i have searched wide and far for a solution. so far, its only the samsung galaxies that are given preference to replies. :crying:
So, if any of the devs can solve this problem, this rom would receive an extra 10 stars, cos it deserves more than this.
Havent found anything else wrong with it, but if i do, i shall post.

I have a problem with my nexus 6 durring calls. When someone calls me, i cant hear them and they cant hear me. The speakers and mircophone are working fine.
I reseted my phone and installed a new rom. After that i have that same problem. Is there a way to fix this ? My phone is rooted and has android nougat on it.
Some AOSP 7.0 ROMs have broken call audio for VZW. Try NuttyNexus, Uberstock7, or Oct-N ROMs for working VZW call audio

Start by rebooting into Safe mode. If it works, then there is a problem with some app interfering.

Remove all audio mods like Viper4Audio, Atmos, Arise, etc.
If still broken audio, clean flash with just Nutty Nexus and Open gapps 7.0 micro or Banks Gapps 7.0, and then superuser r197 zip for root

Its working ! I did what you say and its working. Thank you very much. I think the problem was Viper4Audio. But its also sad. i cant use this amazing equalizer anymore.

U got me wrong. It's not only messenger, almost every other camera apps can't adjust the white balance (except google camera and open camera, don't know why they work).
Sim Card not recognized.
I installed this on a Vivo XL with stock 6.0 from NA. Everything went smoothly but my SIM card is no longer recognized. I tried wiping and reflashing, as well as changing card slots, but to no avail. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Your Imei was deleted. Check them by just typing *#06# in ur calling screen.

yes i've figured this out in the past 20 minutes. any way of reliably restoring them? i've tried using chamelephon but every time i enter the ones from the inside of my phone it doesn't seem to save them.

It's gonna be a lengthy process. I used the firmware of Gionee and it caused me to lose the imei. But what I did is, flash the Gionee 5.1 stock firmware and recovered Imei using sn write tool. Then I flashed custom ROM or marshmallow rom or whatever rom, my Imei was not erased. TBH I don't know any process to restore imei in marshmallow. What u can do is before flashing backup nvram and secro. Then restore it after flashing any rom using twrp. :fingers-crossed: Another thing, don't use format option in sp flash tool just use firmware upgrade or download only.

so just to be clear if i flash the gionee 5.1 right now with my current twrp over top of my current CM13 rom i should be able to recover my imei? will i need a downgraded recovery or will the 2.8.7 twrp included in the OP be ok? i'll definitely make sure i backup the nvram this time and i never used anything other than download mode in sp flash. Thanks for all your help btw.

First of all did u backup ur stock rom? If so try restoring that and check if ur imei is restored or not. IF YES, only flashing stock firmware should work. IF NOT, then u will have to use sn write tool (an pc app) to restore ur imei as ur nvram partition is corrupted. U can ONLY use sn write tool in lollipop firmware as it didn't work for me in marshmallow, u can try if u want. I'm telling u to use sn write tool because it restores ur imei permanently, there are other simple temporary methods too but once u reset ur phone imei will be erased again. There are plenty of tutorials out there how to use sn write tool.
I'm really sorry for asking but pls can u inform that are u still working on this rom? I'll really appreciate any progress... Thanks in advance cm13 is a dream for this phone...

I don't use it but I used the resurrection remix rom it was pretty good.... I guess this one will be pretty stable too just need the camera to be full resolution....

[LineageOS 14.1] Problem with the headphones sound

Hi guys, good evening
Recently (4 days ago), I've flashed LineageOS 14.1 on my Xiaomi MI5. I've used the Global MIUI 8 for 4 months but I wanted to use Custom ROMs. I was in love with the LineageOS, everything was perfect, until I plugged my headphones (which worked on MIUI). The music was playing but no sound was coming through the headphones. The most awkward thing is that the headphones works when I'm calling someone. When I go to youtube via browser and play a video, the sound comes in. The problem is occurring with Spotify (the music plays without headphones, but when I plug in, no sound).
I tried flashing the RRemix 5.8.3 and the same problem occurred. I made a clean install (wiped everything via TWRP), installed the Micro GApps (tried with the Full GApps) but the problem still persists. The bluetooth works fine too.

beware: from next week on, the minimum firmware required to lineageos will be 7.7.6
it is buggy (no headphone sound) on last build though

If somebody looking for the solution for headphone bug with Lineage (and some minor bugs), this solution worked for me:
- Download latest MIUI version from Xiaomi. I prefer beta versions.
- On TWRP wipe dalvik and cache, DONT WIPE DATA!
- Install latest MIUI and wipe dalvik and cache after install! DONT WIPE DATA! Don't reboot.
- Come back to main screen of TWRP and install your Lineage again. Wipe dalvik and cache after install. DONT WIPE DATA again!
- Reboot and everything is fine!
Advantage: Your Lineage with all your configurations, apps and data still there, but fixed the headphone problem.

but i'm struggling to make work sometimes I need to plug the headphone many times for sound come out.

This worked for me like a charm only that I am on One Plus 5-- followed exact same steps but using OOS and then flashed Lineage 15.1 over it.

no, the firmware and rom is for gemini only. also, this problem happened on an old build. further ones fixed it.

Just Uninstall Audio Fx and Audio Jack will work as charm. For Uninstalling Audio FX your phone should be rooted and having any system app removing app which is easily available at Google Play

Looking for Google and YouTube I found that there is already Miui 10 for LeEco Le 2 - S3

* I just want to show the information and see who already tried it*
(31/07) Testing for me:
it really works very well, you have to install it with full wipe, is good stable and very fast!
the bad thing is that it is based on the Chinese rom and comes only in Chinese and English, and without Google services (it can be solved)

Can u do a proper video review? The ones in YouTube are not detailed. Is the camera fine? I heard that it has both miui and eui cameras pre-installed.

Well I tell you, the probe and is functional, google apps is downloaded by searching "google" in the app store of xiaomi to download an app and press a button and installs play store and others.
the rom is very fast, has better battery life than aosp and is very beautiful, as always from MIUI
and on the camera, because it seems the best since it brings the miui camera and is very good as the stock
i completed 2 days on this rom
its awesome
better than miuipro9
everything working
bettery backup like stock rom
i think it is the best rom for le2

I've installed MIUI 10 8.7.26 on Le 2 (X526). Works perfectly (Unfortunately this is only opinion of person who is using this phone because I am not the owner). However, two days after installation this person started to observe afterimages on screen... Before MIUI, EUI form Cuoco92 was installed and during 3 months of using Le 2 there were no afterimages. My colleague has also this phone, he installed MIUIPro 9 and he's also struggling with afterimages on screen... Does somebody have similiar issues with Le2?

No, I don't have any problems, and I've been using the phone for 3 days too.
I have tried once to see it's performance regarding lte, but for me it had similar problem as for miuipro on my x522, i.e it keeps losing signal . Camera was working perfect. Is it just me who has difficulty with miui. Any suggestions please.

I also had problems with the signal, take out the sim cards tray and put it back again and reinstall the rom and it worked.
If something then reloads the rom or tries to put a rom that works and reinstalls miui again.
