so I rooted my buddies phone and I don't want to sign in using my info he had a bunch of apps and I need to reinstall them without going to the market is there an apk installer I can get somewhere?
do you have all his apks avaible, or it all need to be redownloaded? if you have them all already, you can just install with any file manager. but if you need to redownload, try using slideme, it's an alternative market and they have an app as well you can download from their site. http://slideme.org/
Please don't make multiple threads for the same issue...

Thanks in advance for help
EDIT 1:
I extractred the complete instalation zip file and installed all lost apps from the .apk files
youtube works but lost agein after reboot
google maps works
gmail installed but does not start
market not found in apk
superuser works
root exlorer works, but lost again after reboot
so any ideas?
I am using onecosmic's ICS rom on my I9000 and it is running fine, however, there is an update for the google+ app available on the market and everytime i try to install it I get the following error:
Package file was not signed correctly.
Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again.
Other apps install just fine. Is there another way to update? Or is there a way to remove the app as is suggested in the error message? Because I can't remove it using the market or settings (or I just can't find how).
[Update] Managed to uninstall using TB, reboot and reinstall
Old market app is a lot faster than the play store. But the method to restore old market for gb or cm7 ROMs DOESN'T WORKS for the ICS OR JellyBean. The apps gets downloaded in data/data/com.android.providers.download/caches but don't INSTALLS automatically.
Please provide any method to run the old android market on ICS/JB

Googled b4 posting, but the problem is Apps are not being installed.
Steps that i perform:
1. Delete Google play apk, then Reboot
2. Copy the 'market.apk' & 'update.apk' to system/app, then Reboot
3. Download an app from Market.
4. But the app doesn't installs
After searching in system, the app(which gets downloaded but doesn't install) was lying there as 'download.apk' in /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache
Also when the apps is downloading is notified in notification bar, but not in market. I.e there's no status of the app being downloading in market app
I tried my best for the problem to be extremely clear.

I didn't need to do all that process of zip signing.(may be it will be required in future if any problem persists )
And for the Play store issue, I freezed/disabled the update.apk
Well it won't update my apps but this resolves the issue of play store.

is it force closing while showing content or not
Probably someone can me help me with the following constellation:
1. An App shall be pre installed on a phone by copying the apk file to the phone (e.g. via USB) and executing it
2. Updates of this App shall be done with the help of Google Playstore. Means a new version is uploaded to the developer account into the productive environment which shall be automatically installed on all compatible devices (if the devices are correctly configured).
3. In investigations it has been turned out so far that Playstore doesn't update the App automatically as long as it hasn't been installed using Playstore. It seems to be that the Playstore App doesn't know about the already manual installed App on the phone.
4. But if you start the Playstore app, search for the App and open the result it offers to update the App using the "Update" button.
Does someone know if and how the Playstore App connects the own pre installated App on the phone and the uploaded in Google Developer account?
Has someone experience with that?
