charging light after OTA

has motorola fixed that little LED after this update?
I don't see how they could release this phone without noticing that... so stupid.
Moto's official explanation is that it isn't a charging light but a "sign of life". It only comes on(blinks) when battery is too dead for the phone to turn on charging mode. This is to let you know its still alive. Would be nice if it was a charging light though.

Charging at Night
To be honest, I'm really glad that they decided for it to be a "sign of life" light. With my previous phone (Milestone/OG DROID), the light would bother the hell outta me when I'd go to bed at night and charge it on my nightstand.
Thanks Moto for this one !
Light Flow
Light Flow has an option for this and a lot more. you can make the LED one color for charging and another for when its full.

That app is for the front LED. Not the side tiny little light next to the microUSB port.

There's a light on the side?! I just had to look now to see it. I had never seen it before. I'm running the leaked OTA, when does it even light up?

With the OTA applied, the light now works if the phone is OFF.
Once the phone is switched on, the light goes out.
And the phone is plugged into a charging source, of course.
Wow I never knew this existed. Interesting...I guess. I don't think I've ever seen it light up.
I tried it too and it lights up a second then the phone is turning on, the led then turns off. Glad its working.

I saw that it existed, but had never seen it light up. Until I plugged in my phone with no battery in. Then it lit up. I was running .890 and that was the first time I ever saw it.

battery toast

Battery issue-seems to be unique. Didn't get phone extremely wet but it was being used in a bit of light rain yesterday when this issue surfaced. Phone died at some point in my pocket on the way into office. Set it to charge and, since then, i get flashing orange light with the battery/lightning bolt indicator-in perpetuity . Tried messing with all kinds of button combinations on and off charger and nothing has changed-flashing orange light w/battery indicator (empty-no green or percentage). Phone doesn't even seem to heat up even after hours on charger. Any help would be greatly appreciated, my m7 getting to feel extremely dated on day two.

Disable LEDs on standard Samsung wireless charger

Hi
I've bought the standard samsung wireless charger and now noticed that there's always a blue or green led shining and I'd like to disable these as I use the charger in the bedroom.
Has anyone tried to disassemble the charger? How did it work out?
Cheers
Michael
Put a piece of electrical tape over it?
If you can open up the charger, I'm sure you can disable it. I feel your problem..
Lucky to have this at work which lights u only during charge:
http://www.dx.com/p/frunda-fct001-5...e-nokia-more-white-yellow-209238#.VUIa1SGqpHw
And the charger for LG G3 which have no lights at all at home.
putting something over it is probably what I have to do.
sadly I did not find a way to open it.. without too much of force at least and buying another one does not really make sense for me as I don't need 2 wireless chargers.
i find the Light extremely annoying i could not use the wireless charger at all during night time. please Samsung get rid of the light, there is an led in the phone which lights up already to know if the phone is charging.. do we need the bright blue green light in the wireless charger as well.. ridiculous

So my phone has water damage...

Basically I'm an idiot and put my moto x 2nd gen in a plastic bag and went into the ocean. The bag didn't stay shut and my phone got water damage. After powering it off I noticed that next to the top speaker there was a red light light up briefly and now whenever i plug it in to charge the green LED light that's hidden in the top speaker lights up for a few seconds before slowly dimming off. I figure I'm probably outta luck but since the green charging light turns on I figure i still have a little hope. Anyone know anything I can do? Or at the very least know any way I can salvage my data from the phone? Thanks.

Dunken your phone in a rice, as they are hygroscopic, and leave it there for about 48-72 hours. They will absorb all moisture inside it. Then its safe to charge and see if it still has any life in it. But don't try to power up or charge phone without doing so, as it may permanently damage connections on board and render phone unusable for good(if it ain't already).

Question Can't see the edge light up when plug into charge

I've seen in several YouTube reviews that the edge lights light up whenever we plug it to charge and it fills up with a green light according to your battery level. Can't seem to find that in my unit. Anybody else has this feature in their phone?
