Hey guys,
I recently rooted my gear and installed the null 14 ROM. My phone I am currently using is an S3 running stock 4.3. How do I go about tethering my internet from my phone to the gear? It seems they must have removed bluetooth tethering from the 4.3 as I only have wifi hotspot and usb tethering. Anybody else get this too or does somebody know what's wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks for any help guys

Im running stock rooted 4.3 on my gs4 with the tethering hack on verizon and i have bluetooth tethering under settings, more networks, tethering and then you check the bluetooth one. FYI bluetooth tethering is capped at about 3mpbs to is not exactly lightening fast but it does work. Make sure on your gear that you go into bluetooth settings and the click settings for the device your connected to and check use internet from device or whatever it says i forget exactly
So I have my S3 rooted now. What can I install to enable the bluetooth tether? Any info and/or links would truly help. I am not too smart when it comes to this rooting stuff. Thanks
Trying to find a way to tether my unrooted VZW Moto X to my nexus 7. Have used pdanet/foxfi in the past on other phones with great success so I figured I'd try. I know WiFi tether isn't supported on KitKat (according to PDAnet) and am having trouble getting the bluetooth tether to work. It shows I'm connected but can't get any data on any app.. Does anyone know if this is not possible with pdanet and kitkat, or am I being a goon... Thanks
Anyone???
Now our ATT S5 can be easily rooted (see post below), how can we get the native tether/hotspot? Obviously, AT&T put a check on top of the native tether to squeeze $$ from us.

It may be an ATT thing as we recently got the Active and have fully updated to Latest Nougat build(seen on xda) But we are UK and have unlocked device and Tethering works great in our Active....
Maybe reflash the updates using the method on xda?
I remember something about wifi tether was going to be disabled in 7.0 but usb and bluetooth tether should still work
It's gotta be ATT. I have the latest Nougat and am tethering via USB as I type this, plus wifi tether works perfectly fine. I have an unlocked S6A and not on ATT.
In the past I've been able to use PdaNet for wired tethering despite the carriers' efforts to disable it. Now it won't connect. Anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
Update: Put my sim card in my old Nexus 6 and tethering works perfectly. Obviously Samsung has figured this out and disabled it.
Not sure my note 8 T-mobile pdanet works great I am not rooted
