My phone is on Marshmallow. How can I use tasker to disable pattern when it's connected to home wifi? Thanks.
With plugins. AutoTools or secure settings are able to do this. AutoTools isn't free but it's worth the money. Secure setting is not longer developed. Decide by your self what you will chose.

I think Secure settings is only work on pin, not pattern.
I tried Autotols. For some reason, I don't have "Automatic Lock" under "Lock Screen" setting. http://forum.joaoapps.com/index.php...-enable-your-lock-screen-at-will-no-root.237/
If you choose secure settings in AutoTools and then lock screen it should be there. If it is not there then you have to contact the Dev João Dias. He can help you. Sorry I can't help you more.

At first try to add these apps to all possible whitelists of Huawei power management apps. It should not be cleaned by RAM manager and should be left not closed when screen is off. It helped here.

I put greenify in protected app and for now is ON in accessibility. Last 2 day working ok.

Thanks but in protected app I don't have the apk, only a list of installed applications
Yet another EMUI "feature". Hating when it happens to me as well, though I do have mixed luck with whitelisting the apk in question (where ever you can - why the hell do we have both the battery keep-running-with-screen-off feature, and the "ignore optimizations" crap? And what does this even do?).

Same here with Roboform password manager on Mate 9 with EMUI 5.0 . All system settings give it permission and exemption from optimization. But accessibility is turned off after a very short time of the phone screen being off. There has to be something strange going on.

Strange this has not been fixed.
IMHO Huawei or EMUI should let us manage the system whitelisted apps..
It is obvious that the phone administrator is not enough to ensure we can leave opened on background 100% sure some apps... My telegram app from time to time also appears stopped.. Mmmm "strange" but easy to solve for huawei's developers if they were interested in
So strange^2

Actually I have found that it is a feature not a fault. I rang up Huawei to ask for help.
What you need to do is go into Settings (swipe down from top, then cog wheel) > Battery > Close apps after screen lock
Then scroll down to your 'problem' app, and switch to off.
You might be surprised at the apps that have managed to get themselves set to off. I certainly was.

Even having setup properly battery optimisation to be ommited, keep open when close and whitelist on clean up sometimes telegram gets close... We all (or most of us) know.about that options to be setup but Huawei maintains a "hidden" apps whitelist like Google apps that are permitted to be run on background ... We know is not a big and we want to have full control of which apps.to permit 100% of time not decided by Emui. That's the point.

Hey everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this.
I wanted to make so when i'm using whatsapp the screen timeout of my phone changes to 2 minutes instead of my usual 30 seconds.
It looked like it was working but one time I noticed the screen went off after the 30 seconds, so i pulled down my notification bar and checked it.. It was infact set at 30 and not 2 minutes
I noticed that the 2 minutes always work in the whatsapp homepage but they get resetted to 30seconds whenever I enter a chat and send a message. If then I go back to the homepage of the app they get switched again to 2 minutes
What I did to setup the profile is:
1. Create new application profile and select WhatsApp
2. Add a task that makes the screen timeout change to 2 minutes
3. Uncheck restore settings on the advice of another user
Trying to "debug" the problem I even added an exit task which set the timeout back to 30 seconds but that didn't seem to change anything
If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated
Edit: I'll be more specific the timeout becomes 30 second whenever I tap to type and the keyboard opens, whenever I tap away it goes back to 2 minutes. Is there anyway to prevent that from happening beside using the the same settings for the keyboard?
Quick fix
After time out add another action
Add -> Input -> Soft Keyboard.
It works that way I tried it with soft keyboard and without soft keyboard.

Hey and thanks for your answer!
It actually did not work for me
my device is a5 2016 running nougat
I did find a workaround for now that i might or might not keep it.
What i did was:
1. Create new app profile for gBoard
2. Set screen timeout at 2 mins if PACTIVE *,whatsapp,*
It seems to work for now even though It's not the best style and it does take two profiles instead of one, I'm very open to try and fix it the way you suggest if we manage to make it work
Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Quick settings is the culprit.
So I installed the quick settings app from playstore and used the screen time out tab and then all of a sudden my time out profile stopped working.
I then disabled the time out thing from the quick settings app and it still didn't work.
I then uninstalled the quick settings app and it still didn't work.
Finally I'd to reboot the device and my profile started working.
So yeah you'll have to choose between Quick Settings and Time Out.

Is there any way to turn off screen lock at trusted wifi without root, the build smart lock is useless as it requires location on with drains battery, the placement of finger print scanner is just awful, hope some one can help me out

For it to be trusted Wi-Fi it needs to know location. It's annoying for it but being at work and home and being able to just press down on the home button is really useful.

This seems to be a known bug. It will most probably happen again, I updated the Google Play Services to the latest beta and now it's working for two straight days in a row, before, it would stop and go white every one to two days.
anyone got it working?
I've found the setting.
You'll need a launcher such as Nova or use Tasker to send the intent. If using Nova Launcher simply add an Activities widget and select MirrorShare from the activities list. This will create a shortcut on your desktop.
If you want to launch with Tasker send an intent with the following:
ACTION: android.intent.action.VIEW
PACKAGE: com.huawei.android.mirrorshare
CLASS: com.huawei.android.airsharing.player.DeviceListActivity
If anyone would rather just have an apk to do this hit thanks and leave a comment, I'll compile my task into an app and post it here. Cheers!
[EDIT]
MirrorShare is in the regular settings menu. Doesn't want to connect for me though it could be my TV.

Also mine seems to be limited to Bluetooth conditions only, you may need Bluetooth turned on and paired with something to activate it. If anyone has the old area based Smart Unlock from nougat working I'd love to know. I've built my own version of locale based Smart Unlock in Tasker and it works great. I can dig out my tutorial if you're interested in going down that rabbit hole. I have downloadable links to the tasks/profiles so all the hard work is done. But it does require Tasker and either a little knowledge or willingness to learn.
That would be perfect

Here's the link. I've got a few projects in that thread and the smart unlock is the one linked. Simple download the project file and import it into Tasker. It works better than regular Smart Unlock imo just make sure to
replace the placeholder with your SSID. If you have any questions please post to that thread and I'll answer promptly!

Hm, looks like you're correct. Huawei is odd...
experienced the same issue, after a few days from when I started using the mobile phone, and the only way to get rid of it was to enter in trusted agents, disable Smart Lock, reboot the device, enter in Trusted agents and turn Smart Lock On again. The Smart Lock issue is reported on official google Forum since more than a year on different models (Search for "SOLVED: Smart Lock options missing " on Google Help Forum). As only TEMPORARY solution is reported the trick on Trusted Agents I reported. As I mention it is indicated as temporary solution, since many users experienced this problem again after some time. It is unknown whether someone of the Android Dev Team is working on a fix, or ever heard about it.
Is it possible to use tasker to switch on lastpass accessibility toggle? My OnePlus 3t (not rooted, OOS 9.0.4) deactivates it almost on a daily basis. I have switched off battery optimisation for lastpass but the phone turns the toggle off.

The easy way is to use the Secure Settings action in AutoTools. That has a direct option for accessibility services. I plan on adding that option to Tasker directly at a later date.
With the Custom Setting action what you should do is read the value, remove or add the needed service from the list, the write the setting.
Ta I'll test that
