Hello experts
I have a problem with my front facing camera , it sometimes loses the focus at all and it sometimes it focus only on the nearest thing to it , focus on my face and neglect my friends behind me or even beside me , the worst thing that i used a selfie stick and ( the stick itself was appearing in the image ) and it focused on the metal stick rather than me !!!!!
Any fix, any camera app , any tips please ?

So how to use it as it like this the camera has no use !
The use is exactly in the focus of the fixed focus. Learn to live with it or you got the wrong selfie phone, sadly.
what cant you just use google camera or some other alternate camera app?

Cleaning the camera lens with toothpaste
Hi tracer123, you tried to clean the camera lens with toothpaste?,
I have the same problem with my z1, and i found a tutorial for fix that, but i didn't tried if it works yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/tut-clean-camera-lens-getting-blurry-t3169539
Some users says that this solution works, but be caution, a comment in the thread says this:
"Be cautioned, though. Removing the coating will affect your night shots. Pictures with lights (car headlights, streetlamps) will noticably be worse since the coating is to cut the glares that came in the lens."
At least you can try, maybe i will try to clean my camera lens in a couple of days.
I'm not sure if my secondary rear camera is working. I no longer get the option for lens selection in manual mode. I can't even change the camera to rear camera. Manual mode works only for front camera. I've also lost the ability to shoot in 60fps.

Yeah, on Oreo you can't do manual mode on the front camera on stock.
You should try to flash the stock ROM and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't, then it's a HW problem and you should RMA it.
I faced same problem. And already posted on XDa. I tried factory reset two times. But its won't work?
Hi,
I was just playing around with the camera app today and noticed that the front camera was set to 5.2 megapixels, so I was like let's just change it back to 8..
Unfortunately, when I tapped on the front camera options there was no option above 5.2..
Any suggestions that'll fix this?
Do know my device is exynos and I'm running the latest security patch I.e: june one ui

There is 8 mpx.
When you run camera, switch to "wide" angle, and than enter In settings.

Thanks bro..
I mentioned this problem in another thread before. Since we have the wide mode me lost true 8 MP Front Camera. No other mode or camera app except the fake "wide mode" can take pics with 8 MP. Samsung screwed us there big time
I assume that these are some sort of sensors to help assist the camera with focus and what not (camera noob here)?
My main question is, should this not be covered while taking photo/video?
The thing is that I recently bought this camera protector and now that I have applied it on my phone, I see that it covers those two holes with black bezels. Is this something to be concerned about?

In my experience, most camera protectors don't interfere with the laser focus, but if you notice any changes in speed or focus ability then definitely remove it ;3
as we can see while scanning the documents camera blurred details on right side of documents. pls can anyone provide fix for this issue.

If you scan any document with the phone slightly tilted the focus will be on a straight surface, so this scan came out blurred. Try to scan straight from above without tilting your phone.
i tries by doing camera staight even on capturing photo it blurred detail on right side of photots. tried every thing that I can think of.
Have you tried a different camera app and seen
