can someone help med removing twrp and installing stock recovery correct? thank you
Extract the "RECOVERY.img" file from the UPDATE.APP with the Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Apply in fastboot mode: "fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img".
It's all.

- Download the Huawei Update Extractor
- Download an official firmware update
- Extract RECOVERY.IMG from Update.app with the Extractor
- Flash the Stock recovery using fastboot
- Done, now you can upgrade using the OEM updater
A little tip from myself, next time you flash TWRP, flash it on RECOVERY2, this way the emergency recovery gets overwritten instead which you can access by Volume+ & Power buttons and the original Recovery still remains the main.
How can i flash twrp over recovery2? Whene i flash its only overwritte first recovery.

How can I install the OTA updates on P10 after root? I root it using TWRP and SuperSu. I believe I need to install a stock recovery, where can I get a stock recovery? Also will installing a stock recovery erase my data?

A rooted phone cannot receive OTA update.
I did it this way (on my P10 Lite):
1- Unroot using SuperSU and do not choose to recover stock boot and recovery image when asked, phone will reboot
2- Now download the OTA update using HiSuite and 2 zip files will be saved on your computer.
3- Extract the bigger file (should be called Update.zip or something like that) and you will then see a file called UPDATE.APP file which is like 3GB or so.
4- Now use Huawei Update extractor from here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454) to extract the first Recovery.img from it (there could be 2, just extract the first one).
5- Now reboot into bootloader and flash this recovery image and then reboot into system again.
6- If everything is working fine, reboot into bootloader again and relock your bootloader using "fastboot oem relock (your bootloader unlock code)"
7- This will erase all your data and do a factory reset of your phone so make sure you make a HiSuite backup before doing this.
8- Now you should be able to update normally on your phone.
9- If u want to unlock bootloader again and reroot then you do it the exact same way as you did it the first time.
PS. I am not responsible if you brick your phone while doing this.
Hi guys, I'm completely newbie in Adroid stuff, and need help to get back my phone.
My software:
ROM Versio: V100R001C00B133SP01
EMUI: 2.3
KitKat[/INDENT]
So, what I did before:
Unlock boot loader
Installed TWRP 2.8
Installed Kingo Root
Got rooted
Installed Super SU
My issue:
Following the article, posted on this thread link, I got some some errors, then I tried by myself extract boot, cust, system and recovery from Huawei Extractor for ROM: Sophia-L10_V100R001C00B621_Firmware_West%20European%20Region_Others_Android%204-2 and ran the following commands using ADB:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this, my phone got in boot loop, I did some search here, and found a force recovery method (putting B133 ROM on SD root directory DLOAD folder and tried force update without sucess.
Does anyone any suggestion to get my phone back?
By the way, my final gola is got Lollipop or Marshmallow working on this phone if it can be alive again
Thank you,
Ivan
Hi
I recently installed twrp 3.1.0-0 through cmd. I saw a thread about twrp 3.2.1.0-0 so it was a zip file instead of img file so I went to twrp and flashed that zip after that whenever I reboot my phone to system in stays on mi logo forever. Then I flashed a rom .tgz file through mi flash tool. To check I went back to twrp using my pc cmd typing the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" . I was taken to twrp recovery. I did nothing and tried to boot back system again same thing stuck here forever. I had to go through the same flashing process to get my phone back.
you probably need to restart again by flashing a new rom and read carefully howto.
U Can just flash no-verity-opt-encrypt here https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip

if stock recovery is replaced by TWRP then stock rom wont boot.
to boot you need to disable dm-verity in boot.img magisk does this while flashing.
so to boot just flash magisk or dm-verity disabler or lazy flasher
I had installed TWRP and it was working fine.
I then installed SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822 via TWRP.
This did not root the phone, rootchecker etc. all said it's not working.
I had made a TWRP backup of the phone before that.
I then tried to restore that backup, and now the phone only starts either into the TWRP boot screen, then reboots endlessly, or goes into the Huawei recovery, and fails to download the recovery package there.
Any ideas?
I can get into fastboot and download mode, but using dload found on another thread here fails at 5%.
Got it fixed. Had to flash both kernel.img AND system.img for it to work, without kernel, it kept looping.

I'm in the same situation, can you please help me?
I tried to flash SuperSU but got stuck in a boot-loop. Did you flash the kernel.img and system.img extracted from a stock firmware update.app file? I tried flashing those two but am still stuck at the boot animation. Occasionally the device will automatically reboot from the boot animation and enter eRecovery, which always fails to get package info.
Mine were from update.app. I had also flashed vendor.img, not sure if that is related.
You can also try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho.../recovery-bkl-nocheck-recovery-flash-t3778085
The recovery is compatible. Since you can't boot to system, make sure you run the adb stuff in TWRP, then flash to the nocheck recovery in fastboot mode afterwards and follow the rest of the steps.
Huawei's recovery servers are down, that's why erecovery fails.
edit: nevermind, got kernel.img extracted by disabling "Verify Header Checksum" in Huawei Update Extractor settings. This post can be deleted.
