Flushed the 0401 ver lineageos
and got random reboot quite frequently
Is that some bug of the system or just me?
Make some logs. Without logs we can't help. Los is stable enough, never get some random reboots.

Thx, could you tell me how to make logs? I know nothing about that.
I delete some system apps, that could be the reason though.

I've installed catlog. And now I should wait for a random boot now, is that so?
Will the log be saved automatically or what shoud I do?

I have Gummy ROM version M3.0-07-16-14-RELEASE-m7spr installed on my HTC One and I installed snapchat today, but usually about 10-15 seconds into the app, it'll cause my phone to reboot for some reason. I tested other apps and they work fine, so I think it's just snapchat causing this. Anyone else experience this or know a fix?

anytime you get an app that misbehaves like this the first step is go into settings/apps/all ..find the offending app and clear it's cache and data and see if it works .. next step is uninstall the app completely and reboot the phone and try installing it again.

Nope, uninstalling, reboot and reinstall didn't work. I heard of people having issues with their Nexus devices about this, and other phones apparently, but that was with 4.4.3, I'm 4.4.4. Not sure what's causing it.

I don't use it so i don't know
try clearing cache and data too, if that didnt log you out, then try to log out. reboot, if doesnt work then probably will have to wait for snap chat to update and see what happens

Have been using Snaochat alot with ViperOne 7.0.1 (4.4.3), and never encounter any error so far.
I ma having the same problem on My Htc one too.
Hi I'm having this issue consistently ever since nougat based ROMs are released for Mi5
Whenever i root the nougat based miui ROM, it boots fine but after some time it starts stuttering/lagging so much that one becomes totally inoperable.
I have tried various ways but no success.
I have tried with SuperSU 2.78, 2.79, 2.79SR3 and also eu roms n China global as well but the results are same.
I have also tried wiping the whole internal partition to remove device encryption but the lag don't go away.
When dirty flash the ROM again from twrp, Everything comes back to normal.
Not sure if anybody else is facing the same issue or probably know the solution.
Cheers!
Did you already tried stable version 8.1.9.0 rom from xiaomi.eu that's based 7.0 too..?, coz before..i'm using that rom for a month i think...and doesn't found any lag..even already rooting with supersu 2.79.
Please make sure..this time not just a wiping..but do a format system, data and cache as ext4 from official twrp 3.0.2-3 before flasing

Yup..i think compatibility suhide is causing that lag..coz i'm never tried that before..but with just standard supersu..all running normally in mine..

Just to confirm my doubt, can you try flashig suhide? its very easy uninstall as well. it just adds a script to su partition.
it will help me report the issue in suhide thread.
thanks for your support

I can't test it that now..coz now mine currently back using 8.1.3.0 that's based 6.0, to test raw format of camera coz in 7.0 doesn't work before.. so the result will be different from yours..

Installed the new Magisk 11, everything smooth as butter now.
magisk hide works fine!
I successfully built 8.1.0 AOSP from source for Pixel (Sailfish).
This is my first ROM and there could be issues I'm not aware of.
Not Working:
Dialer keeps crashing when making or recieving phone calls
Working:
Camera and Flash
Speaker
Fingerprint sensor
LTE
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Auto brightness
If you encounter any other issues, please tell me and we can try to resolve them.
Requirements:
Unlocked bootloader
Newest fastboot installed and set up correctly
Stock 8.1.0 should be installed prior to flashing this
This will delete all your data, make backups of everything
Download:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vQRNRpSYQP2BrlCpzIpQpQNQrmlBYvTb
Installation:
Reboot your phone into bootloader
Open a terminal where the AOSP-sailfish-v1.zip is located
fastboot -w update AOSP-sailfish-v1.zip
I recommend installing F-Droid as gapps for 8.1 aren't available yet.
What I want to figure out now is why the dialer crashes when making calls and also how to make this TWRP flashable.
I also plan to update the ROM every month as new security patches become available, just like on the stock ROM.
If anyone wants to replicate the build, I just used the main 8.1.0 repo and the 8.1.0 driver images:
Code:
repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest -b android-8.1.0_r1 --depth=0
https://developers.google.com/android/drivers#sailfishopm1.171019.011
Any testing and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Great effort! Gonna try and flash it and then possibly help you debug the dialer problem.
I really want to flash this, but I cant be w/o a functional dialer. Can you try disabling the stock dialer and sideloading the dialer from the play store?

There's no Google apps available for 8.1 as far as I know, so no play store. I installed Dialer2 from F-Droid but it seems like third party apps can't replace the actual calling interface that pops up when you make or receive a call.
And I wouldn't install this on a device that you plan on relying on just yet. Wait a few days until the issues are fixed. As far as I can tell from my use these past couple hours, the only major issue is the dialer.

try https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-14-0-176716531-release/ ? Sure it's not optimal, but, might get a functional dialer for the time being, until the real issue can be resolved.
It needs bunch of dependencies which cannot be installed this way. Eg Dialer framework
It appears though if this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-dialer-t3557412
works better. You do get few crashes, but only once, the second time you try same thing, it works.
Couple of questions:
1. When you say this will delete all data, do you mean that internal storage will also be wiped?
2. Is it rootable? And if so, any idea whether SuperSU or Magisk is needed?
Thanks.
just wondering, why would I want to use this over stock?

No additional services running, no gapps prerolled in, bare minimum. Think of this as LineageOS 15.
My plans are to run it, install the smallest gapps I can to get gmail and calendar working, install Elemental X and Magisk to hide unlocked bootloader.
Fast and Lean.

1. Yes this will wipe everything. Back up all files that you want to keep.
2. I've tried SuperSU which fails at patching sepolicy and Magisk which results in a bootloop.

Not sure which version you tested, but https://forum.xda-developers.com/pi...-12-5-2017-t3715120/post74749046#post74749046 talks about what ver seems to work on 8.1 stock.

Ah, thanks for the update. Do you think it'll be okay if I use TWRP to wipe Cache, Data and System, and then install this ROM, but without the "-w" option? The internal storage shouldn't affect the ROM, right?

Yeah should work just fine. Just delete the userdata.img from the zip (there's basically nothing in there anyway)
Any plans of a Marlin release?

Have you guys tried going to the default apps section and setting Phone as the default dialer? Fixed it for a few other ROMs i've tried that ran AOSP bases for other devices, might be applicable here.
EDIT: No-go, wierd.

Hey,
I am a Xiaomi Redmi 4A user. Over the past few days, I unlocked its bootloader, installed twrp. I then flashed AOSP Extended and rooted my phone by flashing SuperSU.
Today, I used the in built system device uninstaller and I uninstalled the android stock Calendar app, thinking the Google Calendar app from the play store is better and it would work. Now, I see something like 'com.android.providers.Calendar' has stopped every once in a while.
Is there any viable solution to this error that regularly keeps popping up? I do not want to flash the ROM again/factory reset/root my phone again or something like that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Try flashing Oreo gapps it may fix it just clean cache and dalvink before flashing

No problem bro
I have a problem with my Galaxy S10. I have rooted the phone with magisk. If I open any app that requires the camera, the whole phone crashes.
I wanted to ask why that may be

Are you sure you booted on the right partition ?
Check with "root checker" if magisk hide work properly, if not, you may be on the wrong partition.
If you're on the right partition, maybe reflash a stock rom and start from scratch. It could be that something went wrong in the process.

If you have TWRP recovery installed, update it to a newer version.
