Has anyone been able to setup their 3T with Google Voicemail? When I go into voicemail settings and try to select voicemail provider, it only lists Your Carrier and Google Voicemail is not listed. Anyone know how to fix that?
Thanks

I was wondering if anyone on T-Mobile with a G Flex has been able to successfully set up Google Voice as the Voicemail provider. I've tried setting it up as directed on the GV site, but instead of conditional call forwarding, it seems that all calls go to GV. During the set up of the GV app on the Flex, I get to the point of selecting my Voicemail provider, but that line in the Flex settings is grayed out and I can't change it. Is anyone else seeing this behaviour?
Edit: I've also noticed that the call forwarding option in the system settings is also grayed out and not available... weird...
I forgot to mention that I'm currently running stock everything. No root no anything custom as of yet...
Thanks in advance!
I've noticed that my google voice isn't working like I'm used to.
Expectation: Whenver I get a voicemail to either my ATT #, or GV # that I get a transcribed visual voicemail in my voice app.
Whats happening: No voicemail shows up in google voice app. instead I get a notification that I have a voicemail available and to call in. (assuming it's my att dumb voicemail) When I call my GV number and leave a VM. The automated voice message reads my ATT number not my GV. WEIRD!
I setup the voice app and to make voicemail go through google voice, not ATT. I uninstalled and reinstalled to confirm GV setup the phone to use GV not ATT.
Can anyone confirm this problem or help me troubleshoot.

set it up via their online site, not app. the app has some settings that are important, but their full site has the full set up.
I had this issue too hangouts was receiving my messages not google voice after a few attempts at fixing it. Disabled vm in hangouts and enabled in google voice app works like a charm. Also had to manually edit voicemail settings in the call app menu and add phone numbers through the desktop version of google voice.
Guys i am trying to get google voice to work on my verizon droid turbo but confused at a few things. I want to be able to have my voice mail go to google voice and not the verizon voicemail, but it wont let me. any ideas
Why is the access number and the call forwarding number different? another thing is after all said and done I called my voicemail with another phone to my phone that is set up on and it goes to the verizon voicemail instead with forwarding on.

With Verizon, you have to manually set the call forwarding to your Google Voice. There are 3 different instances when you want to have your calls forwarded.
See this thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/fix-google-voice-forwarding-advanced-t2980980
When setting up Google Voice app on the phone, it will probably tell you that the app couldn't set up voicemail properly. That is ok, because you are doing it manually.
However, with the latest Hangouts/SMS changes, I'm not even sure you need the google voice app, if you set your google voice messages to use Hangouts.
anyone know how to disable/remove the voicemail app and replace it with google voice?
My experience is you cannot disable the Sprint voicemail.
So, I just installed Google Voice and use that instead. I see that the Sprint Voicemail is still running, but all my calls go to Google Voice. So it's a bit of a waste of memory by forcing me to run the Sprint Voicemail instead of just disabling, but I don't see any way around that until our phones get root.
Anyone else know how to force an app to be disabled? Only some default apps seem to let you disable, and Sprint Voicemail doesn't seem to be one of them.
Do you only need instructions to forward vm to google voice /hangouts?

Debloater will let you disable system files.
Yes I'm can't seem to figure out how to use Google voice for my voicemail
Load voice and hangouts. If voice is already loaded, clear the cache and data.
Launch voice, select the proper username for voice. Select no incoming or outgoing calls. You will then get a gray config box. If it doesn't launch your dialer, finish the install then open the dialer. Enter *28 and your google voice number (ie *285555555555) and press send. You will hear two quick dial tones. This forwards calls that are not picked up and routes to voice. From a desktop go to voice.goole.com. Press the sprocket. Select the option to forward all messages to email (not text).
Back on phone, disable all notifications in voice (as Google Voice redirects data to hangouts). If you don't disable, you will get dual notifications. Run hangouts, set your notifications. Disable calls from hangouts to ring the phone, unless you want that.
Once everything is groovy, hide icon for Sprint voicemail if you are not rooted.
I had no issues at all just enabling google voice as always. No Sprint voicemail at all.
If you use google voice and don't want it fully integrated with your sprint number then be careful. Just skip any integration stuff when you first run it. Then it will give you a phone number to call to forward your voicemail to google voice.
While some might like the full integration I prefer to be able to switch between using my cell number or my google voice number on the fly.
I'm using xdabbeb's 3.1.2 rom on my VS980 on a VZW prepaid account, and one thing I've noticed is that since prepaid accounts don't have the visual voicemail feature, there's no way to either configure or bypass the Visual Voicemail app. It's still possible to dial the voicemail number, but the voicemail key in dialer is essentially functionless in my use case. I'm wondering is there a way to remove visual voicemail that will force the dialer to use the voicemail key for basic voicemail and/or allow for voicemail notifications to occur? I tried just removing the app, but that ended up causing a "com.lge.vvm has stopped" error. Its a fairly minor inconvenience, I do realize, but its an inconvenience nonetheless, so I'm curious if there's any way around the issue.
