UK Nougat update help needed - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi. I'm currently on C432B166 and have previously contact Huawei and was told that the update rollout will run until the end of June for the UK.
I would like to update manually but not sure what i need to do and what i need to download. I do not want to root my phone or anything like that. I do not have access to a computer for anything. So my only way is to do everything via my phone. I would be very great full in any help or guidance offered. Thanks in advance.

Harder without a pc... But not impossible, especially if you don't want to root.
You'll need to download the c432b182 update, & install using the dload method. Then the c432b361 update the same way. The phone should auto update itself at that point to b378
I'm not going to post links to the updates as they can change, but not too difficult to find in the stock firmware thread and elsewhere.
The dload method is easy as well... Extract the update zip you downloaded. Copy the extracted dload folder and all contents to your microSD card, turn off the phone and turn it back on holding both volume buttons.
You should be able to use the firmware finder app as well, don't use it myself, but don't think it needs root.

My g1 is stuck at original 1.0 firmware&i was trying to root it but my pc died. I got as far as going into the terminal and doing the script with devblock&im trying to find a way to undo it via a terminal script so i can atleast get ota updates from tmobile again.

you are going to have to un root...but that will require a pc.
actually you can find the OTA for cupcake on the t-mobile forums along with instructions on how to manually update it but you are going to HAVE TO UN ROOT before you do that otherwise you will BRICK.
here is the link for the t-mobile forums and the thread that i was talking about.

That's a part of the issue. I would just finish downloading the zip files to get to the latest cm update but any zip file I download it says its corrupted when I try to apply it from the sdcard

[Q] Update Woes!

I was hoping someone out there would be able to help me. I have been trying to find the related threads to aid my quest in updating my Motorola Razr I to Jelly Bean to no avail. The firmware is an orange gb one. I tried to install one I downloaded in a different thread. One that set my version to 81.5.31002.xt890.orange.en.gb but that didn't help.
The issue is I get the update in about phone > system updates. It downloads but fails to install. The update lists itself as the system version without the orange part in the firmware name. I spoke to Motorola who just said send it back in but I dont really want to spend 10 days or more without my handset especially now that I have tried to put a updated rom on it. I wondered if anyone had an update.zip or something I could run from recovery that would install the latest version. Or someone who could help / point me in the right direction of how to install an unbranded rom so I could try the update from that?
I love this phone but this kind of stuff is a real pain!
Thanks in advance

Fixed the issue myself. Needed to unlock the bootloader and root the phone to get it installed. I am hoping I can now close the bootloader or at least unroot the device! if you need help give me a shout and I can talk you through it.

Marshmallow ZV9 zip or flashable OTA with no pc use available?

I use a Mac. I can't seem to get my phone to be detected with the OEM cable, and several others. I've tried all my USB ports... But it detects my wife's. Anyway, due to this reason I can't root or do jr. Wanna-be-programmer modding to my phone because; the programs are pc only. Even with virtual virtual box, no luck. So I was wondering since 6.0 was rolling out OTA this weekend , apparently it went live last night. if anyone has a zip I can download and just flash or is there a way to do this with the TOT not involving a pc
I am unrooted on the latest OTA update via sprint, I think it's ZV6.
Thank you all for your help and guidance. Happy holidays.
Hey Perry the Saint,
Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to your problem. I have a Mac as well with ADB and Fastboot. I've been looking for a way to root my G4 on ZV6 and haven't found anything, or at least anything I have the knowledge to do. Can you suggest a way to root my phone using terminal? I'm mostly interested in root for now and maybe a custom recovery later. Thank you so much and I hope you find a solution to your problem so you can get root as well.

assistance

I downloaded the PIE update for my N960U a couple months ago and worked perfectly. But now there's no OTA updates and the software upgrade assistant no longer works either. I've been reading on how to fix, but seems awfully confusing. Download this with samfirm, then this with odin, and a bunch of steps and it doesn't make sense to me.
Is there no simple way to get my OTA updates back? There isn't just one file to download and install like I did the PIE update that will be the official Verizon version and be done with it?
Verizon said it's no longer covered under warranty and can't be replaced. I'm not sure I read that downloading the PIE update would void my warranty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The instructions you found about downloading the newest firmware for Verizon from Samfirm is correct. Take the time to educate yourself about what you are doing so that you can avoid the current situation you're in or worse in the future. Please take the time to read and learn what you are doing to your device before you break it. As far as Verizon telling you it's out of warranty that odd. Does your Knox counter show 0x0? Can you use Samsung Pay or S Health?
1. Find out what the newest version from Verizon for your device
- N960USQS1CSD1
2. Download the version you found out about from samfirm or androidfilehosting
- https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note9/SM-N960U/VZW/download/N960USQS1CSD1/266832/
3. Use Odin to flash the version you downloaded
- https://mega.nz/#!l8RhzahQ!V8oBOJOEic7e50oCD7KlB4jQltEe8YrzX7s6WGFw_-8
4. Optional, but I recommend a factory reset to avoid issues
5. Use your device.
6. Keep the version you downloaded handy just in case something happens in future.

Do NOT want to update, what should I do?

Greetings,
I have a phone with unlocked bootloader and root access. I sent it to a repair shop recently, and it seems that during the repair Huawei's OTA Updater has been set to "Download Update Automatically". Right now it has already downloaded a firmware update and is prompting me to restart my phone to complete the update - I do NOT want that.
I searched through sites to see how can I stop the update process.
1) The website (https://************/huawei-update-...kely-isnt-intentional-easy-way-to-fix-inside/) suggested to disable Huawei OTA Manager via /system/app/HwOUC, but I couldn't find that folder at all.
2) I am currently attempting to delete the downloaded update by removing /data/ota and /data/update/HwOUC, as listed in (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/help/ota-file-location-t3857535), but I am still afraid to reboot my phone now.
May I ask if there is any other step which I should do, to ensure the update is NOT applied?
