Moko 10-11" Case / Wallet - Lenovo Yoga Book Accessories

Just received the following.
Moko 10-11" Wallet
Fits perfectly with reasonable finish. Also plenty of options for retrofitting a stylus loop or some other holder
Would fully recommend it as a carry case option.

I got myself a Felt Sleeve which is just perfect in size and texture.
It fits to carry everything with me. As a fast typer I can't live without a real Keyboard, this one is millimetric exactly the same size as the Holo-Surface

Yep had a look at a couple of felt ones but, as I'm a mucky pup, I went for something a little more robust and easier to keep clean.
How you finding that keyboard?

As mentioned, simply perfect as the size is identical as the Holo-Surface...

Also got the above in brown , when i got my YB a few months back, its a class case, wont offer a lot of protection bar from scratches etc but im pretty careful anyway *touches wood*
Id recommend it , id have gone for the official one but the price they were hawking it for on Amazon was a joke..

so I ordered it and it does seems to fit very well. It "sticks" to the halo keyboard due to the magnets. However, everytime I place this keyboard on the halo keyboard part, it triggers the "pen". I think the bottom is still conductive and triggers the pen button.

Well, I have that case 1 of 10 tries. But totally ok for me as I am not using the halo keyboard at the same time anyways... Typing is so much more comfortable on this keyboard than on the halo... Even the touchpad is quite more responsive. The only thing I totally hate on the Yoga Book is how often I accidentally press the Spacebar, the gap between the halo touchpad and the spacebar is just to small. Solved with this keyboard.

I would not suggest any of those, as it seems very dangerous for me - I have this constant fear of my Yoga Book flying out of my sleeve and ending up on the floor.
Instead, what I would suggest (and I have posted that on a different blog) that you looked up on eBay for the "Soft Case Cover Sleeve Bag Pouch For New LENOVO YOGA Book 10.1"inch 2 in 1" which is extremely soft and has a zipper. You can use it as a carrying case AND place your Yoga Book on top and not worry about what's the surface like underneath.
ALSO, go for a "Flexible Bluetooth Keyboard" from eBay, which would not scratch the surface of the Halo keyboard and you can fold it in any way possible... and this makes it very easy to carry around.

That's totally POV...

It closes and envelopes the YogaBook perfectly. Zero risk to fall out.

No scratches at all. As I wrote before: I am a fast typer, nothing beats a real Keyboard. I would type as fast on the Halo-Keyboard than on those flexible rubber Keyboards.

Excellent Case - JavoEdge

Recently purchased a JavoEdge Case for my NC...and really impressed! Holds the NC in securely, looks great and functional. Genuine Leather, all ports etc available.
Anywho...just my opinion if you're lookin.

Have tried 5 different ones...this by far is the best of the bunch I've tried. I may end up grabbing a second case from them...the Standing / Easel cases look good as well. Might get one to swap out as need arises to go hands free, etc.
I've ordered a flip case from JanoEdge. I figured even if I don't use the stand I'ld prefer to flip the top cover over rather than bending it back with the book style. I like how it protects the frame, I don't have a skin on mine.
Can't wait, I don't have a proper cover for my nook color, been using makeshift ones. These look great!
Do these cases have the little bit of a cutout / opened up rectangle that the B&N cases have so you can hear the speaker better?

They do, but with the flip cases the stand covers it when it's snapped close.

Ok. How bad is the sound deadening from the stand? I'd love a stand up case but I would like to be able to hear the Nook speaker if I want to hear something. So far there seems to be this one and the Roocase that seem to do the trick, and the roocase lacks a cutout at all.

I have read that it doesn't distort the sound, but wont know for sure till I get it. Can't remember where I read it, was searching around a few different places on the net for views of these cases. Can reply when I get mine, within a week or two I think (international shipping), unless someone else who has one answers in the mean time.
I debated between this and the Roocase. Went with this one via Amazon with some GCs. $33 AC. Went with the JavoEdge Editor Flip.
Ordered a Flip for myself as well. Don't know when it'll show up though, due to the weather in the midwest. It'll need to travel through much of that to get to me in Michigan. Can't wait for it though. I've resorted to carrying the NC around in the box it came in so that I can bring it to class with me!

Using the stand case on my wife's NC...minimal sound distortion. It actually helps redirect the sound toward you in a way.

I'm pretty happy with the JavoEdge editor. Magnetic clasp is nice, the sound is fine thanks to the hole cut in the case. All ports not blocked which is good. When you fold the top back, it does muffle the sound a bit more, but it works great sitting up and with the top flipped up (not folded behind it).
I am interested with this case as well. Can someone post an image of this flip case folded open (side view). I would like to know how thick it is with the stand folded.
Thanks.
I'm also interested, but am wondering how sturdy the covermaterial is:
will it protect the screen well enough if it e.g. fals on a stone/corner (and the obstruction hits the screen first)
is it more like hard plastic, or more like soft fabric (which will dammage the screen when it falls)
does it come with a screen protector, my screen is a fingerprint magnet
I have the same case (tweed version) and honestly don't like it at all. Functionally it's fine, but I hate how the edges that wrap around the screen are just slightly too small and so they don't stay square, but instead balloon out.. Also sticking anything other than loose sheets of paper in the pocket makes it too bulky to close. I love the magnetic "latch" though.
It does offer some significant protection, however. I have dropped my Nook from 5[ish] feet onto a hardwood floor, it landed on the bottom right exposed corner, and the device was a-okay. I'm certain if I had dropped it naked, the Nook would be dead.
I just ordered the Pioneer flip case in brown from JAVOedge's site. These are some very sharp looking cases with strong reviews on Amazon. They're the only cases I found that I really liked the styling--a nice, casual faux-vintage look, neither sporty nor girly (though the Cocoa Cherry Blossom case did tempt this hetero male) and few of them look like a day-planner from 1997. They also seem to add very little bulk, and are reported to be very comfortable in the hand while still protecting the NC.
The company's site has more styles than Amazon: http://www.javoedge.com/reflexeshop...odel.do?brandId=63&modelId=1026&category=1001
And for the heck of it, because there was a "coupon code" field at check-out, I googled "JAVOedge coupon" and got 15% off! http://www.retailmenot.com/view/javoedge.com
@Bandage (OP) I don't think any of their products are "genuine leather." They make a point of advertising "animal friendly" materials, which beats rooCASE's Chinese pig-leather in my book

$9 Belkin F8N520ttBKW at Target (orig for Kindle - Works great for N7)

Pouch Case for my #Nexus7 - on sale @ Target for $9.00 (if you can find em)
Belkin F8N520ttBKW Pouch - originally shows for the "New Kindle" - but works great for my nexus7
I checked online and the model # they have on their website is not the same and it's $16 there.. I've picked up two of these at two different targets, and the last place (Cupertino, CA) - still had two left.. So they probably are in other areas.. On sale for $9.00 - works good for when I want to put it in my cargo shorts, and take it with me! - Which is all the time because I can't live without my Nexus 7 now
The little pocket makes for a great place to stick a cloth for screen cleaning

They reduced the price because the product was discontinued. I got one a few days ago and I'm pleased with it. However, I feel jipped because it was just shy of $10 at my target.
Omg after reading this thread I jumped in the Beamer and drove to target, they had 1 black one left.
Good looking out, it's a perfect snug fit and has a very nice pouch for my stylus and thumbstick/otg cable.
A sizeable pouch was a necessity when buying the case I have for my Nexus 7.
http://www.amazon.com/Google-Tablet...qid=1343588795&sr=8-4&keywords=nexus+neoprene
I got that one the other day and it works quite well, I have always tried to get neoprene cases for my devices just because they're cheap and generally not too flashy. The only problem with this one is the weird logo on the front, I could do without that.
I have to stop by Target today for something else so I will probably check if these are in stock. If it's snug enough I could pick it up... The extra padding is what I am looking for now.

That's the exact same case I have, I didn't like it because of the lack of padding. This believe this case is a good upgrade, better padding and a bigger pocket.
Just went to Target. They had didn't have the Belkin Kindle Touch Pleated Sleeve F8N520ttBKW out on the floor, but it was in the back stock room. It rang up as $9.99 (originally $29.99). However, to get it to even completely close I had to really jam it in. It definitely doesn't fit my Nexus 7 comfortably. Maybe it will stretch over time, but it's doubtful. I tried stretching the whole sleeve myself and it didn't really help.
This is a good deal and it is a nice sleeve, but I don't find this practical for the Nexus 7 at all. I'm concerned the zipper is going to scratch the bezel every time i try to get it in or out. I had to stretch the material to get it to close around the edges.
Not sure how it's working for others in this thread. Maybe there's some slight size variations, but I find that pretty hard to believe.
I see what you mean when you say its kind of too small for the nexus 7, but after a few hours of taking it out and putting it back in the sleeve, it actually fits quite well. Also, I was scared of scratching the bezel as well, but now it just fits in there. I might post some pictures tomorrow if I get a chance

When I tried it on in store I noticed that the corners of the tab were a tight fit as well, and also thought that the zippers would scratch the corners of the bezel. But with a little effort I got the soft corners over the edge of the bezel and was able to zip it without worry. I've been using it all day running my errands and it's stretched out a little, I'm sure it'll stretch out a bit more in the next few days and fit better.

Exactly what I thought. I bought one to try it out at home and felt it was too snug for my Nexus 7. Mainly concerned with the zipper scratching up the bezel every time I used the zipper and took more effort than I like just to close it.
I ended up getting the Timbuk2 Kindle Fire plush sleeve and it is a much better fit than this Belkin case.

How much was that sleeve? The whole point of this thread and case is it was 9 bucks. I BTW 24hrs later the case has stretched out enough to where it'll close without effort.
Got this the other day. Yes, it's a tight fit but the padding goes above the sides when the zipper closes around it. Works pretty well actually. Taped a magnet in the front zippered section and now it acts as a smart case! I've put a cleaning cloth and headphones in the same compartment. Also comes in purple.

I haven't touched the OEM charger since I just use a couple Palm Touchpad or Pre chargers. I'd predict the Nexus 7 charger would fit fine since I put my Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10i case in there and that thing is pretty big for a headphone case. Although I like to keep it relatively slim so most of the time I just leave the cleaning cloth in there.

Momax SmartCase Note 2 Case Review

It does look interesting. You mentioned a link in your review, but I didn't see one. Where did you get it? I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Do you think the magnetism will be a problem? I always wonder about that.
Thanks for all the case reviews! This one does look interesting..
Not bad, a TPU case with front protection, stand, and very thin. I am always worried about dropping it face first with a TPU case and this one solves that problem. But does the magnet interfere with GPS, S Pen?
yeah...nice looking case...but can't find it anywhere online for buying it....
I've been looking at this case for a while and found it for sale here:

Nice case. It would be even better if it came with an integral back cover like the Samsung flip case so it would be even thinner.

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/momax-the-core-smart-case-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-black-p37081.htm
I am now wondering if the stand of the Benks case can also be used in portrait mode as the Momax case.
all of the magnets are going to affect the s pens use as well as possibly damage your memory card
I recently got the brown Momax case, and after experimenting with it, there does NOT appear to be any effect on the S-Pen from the magnets in the case. This is after tinkering under a variety of circumstances. Overall I'd say I'm very happy with this case because it does not add bulk to my already large Note 2, and it uses a clever design to enable the device to stand on its own. I would definitely recommend it.

Hey,
can you easily flip the cover all the way back? In the case of typing, chatting, writing is it a problem having the cover hanging around when one-handed? does the cover wiggle too much?
Love this case and I have checked the youtube reviews (Olis4, Himesh123456789, Milkerz5) but they don't show the cover flipping all the way to the back... :/
Thanks in advance...
That's pretty clever - too bad the TPU case color doesn't come in black.
- Frank
I am considering buying this case, but I'm not sure about the magnets.
Do they interfere with the compass or the S-Pen when the flap is wide open or fully folded backwards (not in a stand position)?
Also, how is one-hand operation with this case on?
It's annoying funny how all the reviews omit such important aspects and only tell us about the design...

Sorry for the delay, I did not receive an email that someone replied here until just now. Anyways, yes, the cover flips all the way back to essentially become flat. I didn't have an issue with the cover hanging during one-handed operation. It didn't really wiggle too much either since the phone is secured on the back part of the case pretty nicely. It was my daily driver over Samsung's case for the phone. :good:
As to the magnets, I did not experience any interference although I have to admit that my use of the S-Pen was light. Tinkering and testing when I first got the case showed that there was no magnetic interference though. To expand on my level of one-handed operation - I have smaller hands and did not have an issue with the case. I would typically read Kindle on there and hold it in my left hand, my fingers would come around to the right side of the screen, and I was able to turn pages no problem. I never typed one-handed though, and I always type in portrait mode.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the reply, it's very helpful.
How about the compass? Do you notice any significant deviation when the case is on w/ the flap in various positions vs when the case is off? For example, I would expect that the deviation (if any) is smaller when the flap is opened at 180 degrees, since the magnets are farther away from the phone, than in a fully folded position.
I'm finding myself using the navigation increasingly often, so it's important to have accurate sensor readings.
Again, thanks a bunch!
I would think that navigation software using gps signal only.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I think that the compass is used in pedestrian navigation (which I use), when you turn around in a spot. How else would it know the heading?
I too am interested in a definitive answer in how much the magnet effects spen and the compass.
I've also been looking at the zenus cases which don't use a magnet, but I'm unsure whether it can hold the phone up like a kickstand and it's a lot of money to gamble on if it doesn't.

sleeve/ soft cases

I don't want a case that covers the bezel or the back, just something to protect my n10 when it is slung in my backpack or messenger bag.
Does anyone know if these will fit the n10?
Samsung Textile Pouch
Kensington Soft Carrying Case
Proporta Perfora which is listed as a Nexus 10 case but seems to be a netbook case so will likely be too thick.
I am thinking about a sleeve myself.
To protect the nexus 10 while not in use or carrying it, but not to add bulk to the tablet while in use.
I am thinking about picking up a case logic sleeve.

I'd like to know too. You can get it through Amazon cheaper http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-LA...id=1353866151&sr=1-1&keywords=LAPST-110-BLACK and their return procedure is pretty painless.
I'd try it myself but my N10 hasn't arrived yet and I want to try the Galaxy Tab 10.1 accessories I already have before buying more "stuff".
Let us know.
I picked up this HP case (based on a recommendation in another thread):
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Mini+Laptop+Sleeve/9926416.p?id=1218196187925&skuId=9926416
I picked it up off of Amazon for $10, but the picture over on Amazon is not correct (this picture on BestBuy is correct). It has padding on both sides of the device in the main pocket plus a second zippered pocket for cable, headphones, charger etc. It is the right size and the N10 fits in the case right; but, I am sure there are smaller cases if you don't need the large second pocket across the whole case. I picked this case up to have it available now as I am watching other cases being released. I also have three more different cases on order for different situations. My favorite so far is the Poetic Slimline case, but it is not available until the end of December. Good luck.
This Samsung-made pouch fits damn-near perfect:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055193HU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
It fits pretty tight at first, but loosens up over about 10 insertions and removals. It doesn't cover 100% of the tablet though, there's still about ~3mm of the tablet exposed at the open end. To me it's negligible, since it's used to place the tablet into my backpack.
And it's less than 11 bucks.
I didn't want some big hard cover, just a sleeve, but also didn't want to spend any money on it so just made my own last night using half of a full-desk neoprene gaming mousemat and a needle exactly what i was after for simply carrying it around and such. It's not perfect but it was free and does it's job ut great

I love these kind of comments
FYI, I bought this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/V7-Protective-Sleeve-iPads-Tablets/dp/B0085JT0BS/
Its quite thick (~30mm) with the Nexus 10 inside, but I felt the bubbles inside should really help protect the screen when its in my laptop bag.
The zip closes no problem, but it wouldn't take a tablet even a few mm taller(in portrait), width-wise(also in portrait) there is a good 20mm space. The padding is quite thin on the zip and edges, protected, but not as well as the main faces. I feel it is a good buy.

I like the looks of this one, because while I think I'll be using the thing naked most of the time, I know I need a sleeve, plus this one can prop the unit up if I want to watch a movie on an airplane or something.

I bought this one as well from amazon us and am very happy with it. Nice snug fit, not loose at all.

ASUS Versasleeve
Using an ASUS Versasleeve (sold TF700) and it works great. Fit is perfect and case doubles as a stand with two positions (typing and viewing). I prefer using my tablets naked and have been through 5+ cases before deciding on the Versasleeve.

I tried this case from LLC but the N10 was too wide to fit in. I'm hoping for something like this to come out for the N10. The magnetic top closes it nicely and keeps it folded when you use it as a folio style stand. It's also paper thin. If anyone has a line on something like this for the N10 please post:

If anyone lives in the UK, I just bought a laptop neoprene case from pound land for £1 while I wait for my Poetic Slimline case to arrive from amazon. It may not be a perfect fit, but it definitely gets the job done.

This Samsung-made pouch fits damn-near perfect:

It fits pretty tight at first, but loosens up over about 10 insertions and removals. It doesn't cover 100% of the tablet though, there's still about ~3mm of the tablet exposed at the open end. To me it's negligible, since it's used to place the tablet into my backpack.
And it's less than 11 bucks.

Can't go too wrong for $10.62 delivered. Goo designs a beautiful product and then tells the user to either risk carrying it around naked or put it into a case that will defeat their design efforts? I believe the cover they promoted, if it had been available, would have have helped them to sell more tablets.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried it with mine and I almost didn't get it out and then sold it with my Galaxy Tab 10.1. I loved the pouch because it was very slim, minimalistic and the tablet was slightly protected when it was just laying around on the couch or when I put it in my laptop bag.
Unfortunately it's 22€ on Amazon.de (around $25) but I think it's still worth it since I hate it when a case is completely attached to the tablet.

That is a really nice looking sleeve. Quite pricey but could be tempted to pick one up when my nexus 10 arrives
Ordered this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170933946177?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
+ pre-ordered the Slimline on Amazon.
Will post review when I get it
P.S. UPS shows tracking that my Nexus 10 will be here today...Woohoo
Got a few pictures of the Galaxy Tab Case and the Asus Versasleeve.
The galaxy case is housing the N10 pretty well at this point, with almost 0 protrusion of the tablet.
Overall, I think I will be using the Versasleeve. I remember people complaining about the plastic smell on the Nexus 7 poetic cases, but holy hell this Asus case is much worse in the magnitude of smell.
Other than the ugly brown, I think it'll work well.

Which case to buy?

Heya,
I just recently got my N10 - yesterday in fact - and before I take it out, I need to get a case. Leather ones seems to be the fad. I need one with a stand so I can display the N10 in my bedroom (hur hur). In future, I may also buy a bluetooth keyboard for it, but as of now, I don't see any use for one - I don't use the N10 for a load of typing.
Since there are a million different cases out there, which one is most popular and why? Thanks!
Remember, an awesome stand is required!
The moko slim case looks to be very popular, although with it's flaws such as the metal bezel thing scratching the glass, or no pogo cutout *don't know if this has been rectified on newer revisions)
The poetic slimline has some issues, and a lot of people have said they don't like it, but at the same time a lot of people myself included have found no issue with it whatsoever other than for making the power and volume buttons a little hard to use, something that the moko caters for, although something that can be easily remedied with a stanley knife or whatnot.
As to a bluetooth keyboard, unless you are typing long essays which it doesn't sound like you are, then i myself can use the onscreen keyboard two handed in much the same way i'd use a normal small bluetooth keyboard, that is to say in a cramped fashion, and type at a fairly good pace without much issue at all.

Thanks. I'll take a deep look at these two cases.
You're right. I'll give the N10 a few more weeks till I decide if I really need an external keyboard or not.
Till then, more suggestions are welcome!
Poetic Hardback (not the same as the slimline) here, love it, and dirt cheap

I originally purchased the i-Blason slim folio, which is nearly identical to the Moko in design. It's main weakness is a lack of a pogo cutout. It has a few other niggling issues (stylus loop right on top of the vol rocker, doesn't quite fold open flat to tablet back, came from factory with awful petrochemical smell) but otherwise has been great. The smell went away after a few days of airing out and it was perfectly fitted to the tablet with none of the issues I'd seen mentioned in the Poetic threads. The tablet is held securely in book mode, but the bottom is still easy to release for use in the stand configuration.
When I purchased a pogo charging cable, I decided to buy the Moko slim as it looked just like the i-Blason, was cheap ($9.99) and had a pogo cutout. It is about the same (cheaper feeling cover material) , but the closing clasp on the Moko is a bit of a deal breaker for me as it requires much more force to get it in place against the tablet top. So, I'm still using the i-Blason until I figure out a better plan. That plan may involve cutting a pogo port in the i-Blason if the Moko can't be coerced into a less difficult clasp arrangement with some pliers.

I just picked up the Moko case from Amazon and received it. Other than the latch at the top being a little stiff initially, it seems to be operating better now after a day of use, it's not anything that would scratch the unit though I don't think. I would recommend it as it has a tight and secure fit/feel to it overall. The pogo charger works with the case, the cutout is there now, if it was missing before it's not now. Worth $12.99 that's for sure.
I got the Fintie 360 rotating case and love it. Seems a couple people have had little issues but mine is flawless and I love it's versatility
I'm rocking the Poetic Durabook and I love it.

Looks good, but I can't find a video on it. I need to see it in action and need to read a review or something. Thanks for the link.
I got the Moko ebay in red colour and I am very happy with it.

Poetic Revolution Case
Personally I bought the Poetic Revolution case. Its the closest thing to a otterbox- like case and it runs about 35 USD. has 2 stands built in, one for the picture frame view for landscape and and portrait and 2 for a low lying, upward facing stand. (almost like a keyboard). I think this is the only brand that i have seen that has built a durable case such as this. Otterbox and Gummdrop have yet to do it.
As a side note this case DOES NOT obscure the cameras, speakers or microphones.
Heres a link to amozon were I purchased it and recieved it internationally in less than 5 business days.
