VR was ok when I bought my Huawei P9 . The OS stock is Marshmallow. My Question is, why after I update my OS to Nougat its VR don't work anymore? Evrything is shaky when I want to view Youtube 360. Please advice, what should I do?

Hey guys,
Ok here is the thing, for over 3 years now I have held out on buying an Oculus rift, hoping the next few months the official customer version would be out, but that until now is yet to happen.
So I purchased the Gear VR to finally get to experience VR (since I know it wont affect me in buying the Oculus CV1) and boy am I blown away, but one thing I am dying to experience is how the world of Skyrim with its beautiful nature and giant mountains would look in VR.
Is there any way for me to shoot/screen capture a 360 and/or 3D video of game play in skyrim and view it through the gear VR to have a bit of what that experience would be like?
Thanks all :good:
There is an android app for Google cardboard being worked on to let you stream pc games in vr format to the phone, it's not natively compatible with the gear vr yet, and there is latency issues or course. It shows promise though. Your question made me wonder a follow up questtion: can someone make a pc program that let's you take a 360 photosphere video or at least photo from a game like skyrim? Like fraps, but a photosphere. That would be fantastic.

That is exactly what I was asking for
I know about the latency and stuff, and I know about the app you mentioned... I just wanted to be able to experience it much like you would watching a gameplay on youtube... except its a 360 video
I am totally new to Unity & VR. I got setup and environment running on my system. I have done enough research about VR and 360 Video Player.
I want to develop the Video App which plays 360 degree videos in Samsung VR. something like Milk VR.
Some help to head start with it, just a guidance will be really helpful.

I have personally tested Mi5 with Shinecon and Bobo Z4 VR headset. This is the first time I tried a VR headset and I was disappointed tbh. I wasn't expecting much but the hype created around VR is too much. I watched Batman vs Superman in 3D on both headsets and the pixels were there. 1080p resolution is not great for VR experience I guess. I also tried Google cardboard and other apps. I probably won't be using it for VR again, that I'm sure about.
All online specification websites say the phone has a gyroscope. However upon downloading VR checking apps they say it doesn't have one.
My friend gave me a free VR set from some Chinese manufacturer which works on his iphone 5s. Is there anything i can do to watch videos in VR on this phone?

GSMArena says Honor 5C doesn't have gyroscope.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
Even he can test it himself.
However it has a so-called rotation vector, you can watch VR videos with the Apps TurnMe Panorama and VR Player free. The first works without any configuration in the second have to go to the settings and set the Rotation Vector as source. The Rotation vector works just like a gyroscope but sadly it isn't supported by many developers. Also got to mention that you can use it in the App Streetview to watch 360 images.
It doesn't have a gyroscope, only accelorometer
Hello, everyone. Ineed help.I am about to buy a new phone and I am considering between Huawei P20 Pro and the S9+ the problem what keeps me off from buying the P20 is the lack of stabilization in 4K video recording. Can someone please elaborate if the video recording is still bearable and if Huawei are going to release an update fixing this problem, because Ive read its a software problem. Also can you guys share your expressions from having your P20 Pro? Pros and cons? Thank you all in advance!
If you are picky about videos than stay away from Huawei's phone's.
