Hi guys,
I just copy the photos from my X Performance to my PC, and I found that all of the photos are in horizontal, including those I taken in landscape.
I'm sure my phone/camera rotates correctly and I can view all the photos without any problem via the Sony album apps, it just became all horizontal on PC.
Any methods to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Ok need some help guys... I haven't seen this bug/problem before on the internet.
Basically to cut a long story short, my camera is taking pics (storing them) upside down, and also the HTC album/camera program is viewing all pics upside down (so pics I took before are showing upside down, and new ones are first taken upside down by the camera, then rotated upside down again when viewed so shown correctly again).
I'm pretty sure it happened when I switched too fast between upside down/front cam and other modes. Now it takes both front and back cam pics upside down. Which 'tard-head thought of an upside down mode for the front cam anyway?
The video thumbnails and recording is ok. The thumbnails in the touchflo interface display correctly (so the newly taking images are displayed upside down, as they are stored by the cam upside down)
Soft reset didnt work.
I looked through the registry but couldnt find a key that contained wether the camera is upside down or not.
I don't want to do a hard reset just yet as I dont want to loose al my contacts, progs, settings etc.
So I was thinking maybe the camera.exe and related files (dll's especially) in the \windows\ directory got screwed, can anyone upload all their files containing "camera" so I can try replacing them? (In my directory now there are 7 files starting with camera, including one executable and 3 dlls).
Thanks a lot and I'll keep you all updated on this weird bug!
I am having some weird problems with my Gallery app.
1) Gallery seems to take a long time to open certain photos. While the photo is opening, the screen will usually timeout and turn off before it's even displayed. If I keep the screen awake, sometimes the picture will never load. I can flick to another photo and then back and I'll see the picture.
2) Copied a few photos to a folder on my Internal SD card. All of them are around 1-2M, 72dpi photos taken with various digital cameras. When I browse to that folder in the gallery, it will hang and take forever to generate the previews. Of the 10 photos in the gallery, 8 of them will not generate a preview and I can't open them. I have one photo that does open but the same exact photo that was touched up in Photoshop and has all the same properties as the original will not open.
Media scanner is working, I am able to add/remove photos to the internal storage and they open fine on my laptop, I can take new photos although they don't always show up in the gallery immediately.
My phone is the Vibrant and has been rooted, fixlag applied, and Captivate camera apk installed. This problem was happening before I changed the camera software.
Howdy,
Lately I've been saving a number of pictures from Internet Explorer and Whatsup, and once I got to Photos|Saved pictures, I saw many saved photos aren't there. Curious, I've plugged the phone to the PC and browsed to SD Card\Pictures\Saved Pictures and... all of the saved pictures were there in the Saved picture, they just didn't appear in the Photos app.
What could be the issue? Could that be traced anyhow? Pretty itching issue.
Luxon
PS.: I've been experiencing an issue like that when I've had reading failures after I turned on Full File System Access once on my Samsung ATIV S. But then I had issues with Photos app closing every now and then after it was launched. I don't experience such issues now, Photos app and other apps like Camera don't close on starting.
Hmm... are they all image formats that the Pictures app recognizes? IE supports a lot of image formats (SVG, for example) that are not officially supported image formats on the phone.
When you save a picture in IE, it gets shown fullscreen and there's a message at the top, even when it says finished, it only saves the picture when you wait for it to disappear, clicking back will cancel it.
Hello guys,
With a little help from my friend i believe i will solve this issue.
When i take some photos and use the video feature, to compile all the photos and make a beautiful video with some effects with all the photos i've taken, some of the photos (in the video) appear to be doubled (in the same image) during the video.
Some photos split in 2, other in 3.
What is this? Any help, would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you are talking about the ''video highlight'' feature in the gallery app, this is normal, its a built-in effect to compensate for pictures taken in portrait mode(1080*1920) when the video plays in landscape mode (1920*1080). If picture were not duplicated/cropped that way, there will be 2 black bars each sides for every pictures clicked in portrait.

Hello,
Thanks for your kind answer.
Let me explain better:
Today i take some photos. I select the photos and with video highlight feature, some of the photos i selected appear in the video doubled or tripled (in the same image). Like same picture: left side no zoom, right side with zoom.
Did i make myself clear? Do you understand?
Only in the video some photos appear with the image divided. Same picture both sides (sometimes with zoom, other times no zoom at all).
Thanks for your help
Cheers

Yes that was already clear, the issue you are talking about is not, its a built-in effect from the ''video highlight'' feature of the gallery app.
All HTC One do exactly the same thing.
Hey everyone,
When I take a photo in Portrait mode, I have the option to adjust the focus after the shot in the Albums app.
Are there any other apps I can use on for mobile and Windows that will allow me to adjust the focus, or is that feature gone when a photo is uploaded (full size) to the cloud for backup?
I'm asking because after a while I want to clean up the photos/videos on my phone to free up space but would still like to go back to some of the older photos every now and then.
Thanks!
