Hi guys,
so, I have a Ace S5830. I want to update my system. I have the stock rom 2.3.6 but I want something more efficient and less "battery drainer" without loosing performance or even increasing it.
What I should do ? Use a custom rom, use other kernel, etc?
Please give me some help. If the best option is to choose a rom or kernel, please link me the best one. I search around the forum but I have no luck understanding what is told.
Cheers.
The original stock rom has great performance and battery life. If you want to switch, maybe you could try out "The Ultimatum" - great performance, Bad battery life

It depends on how you use your phone, brightness, CPU freq, RAM usage... Stock rom is the best option to save battery
Try the stock based rom StockLite v8 by tj_droid + Pure Performance Script for stock by Jeeko. Truly scary with good performance and battery backup.
P.S. Before you install Pure Performance Script, you need to add the init.d support to Stocklite. For more info pm me.

I have been using the stock rom 4.0.3 since I bought the phone since the v10h rom didnt reduced the battery usage and overheating
What are the best rom available or how could I reduce the huge power drain from the battery and dont lose a lot of performance?
If you are looking for a rom that is stable without a lot of hiccups, then I would recommend CM11 as this is by far the most stable rom that I have tried. In terms of performance and heat, you can try to flash Cyodak or iodak thhen use Trickster MOD to undervolt so as to avoid heat. For details you can search for pimp my kernel tread in this forum.

All in one !?
If you have hesitations; there are few Officials:
-LG JB (needed for bootloader)
-Omnirom 4.4 (outdated must)
-CM11 4.4.4+ (frugal dalvik' engine & up to date!)
-NamelessRom 2.1 (top eol)
There are all compatible with Fritzcola' twrp 2.8.6 and can be all multibooted if you chose Nameless as primary.
A first, install Multirom's twrp on LG JB; proceed a backup for a later re-use on secondary slot!
Smartlauncher & init.d tweaks are always battery friendly.
After that, with a simple Windows' trick, you can add aosp 5.1.1 on 2nd.
Nota : don't zipalign LG JB /system if you want to stay with GApps.
please planning to move to aosp rom but i want to know whats the best kernel for battery
Guys i seriously need a good kernel which gives the best gaming experience with little battery consumption
I am currently using nos rom with stock kernel and whenever i plau pubg mobile i lose about 15% battety on one match
Please suggest me a good kernel setting too
Thank you
No performance kernel will give you battery backup . Either performance or battery . You have to choose one .
Try xprise kernel for best gaming experience!
there's no such thing you have gaming performace with good battery life! for gaming, gabriel kernel with gcc8.1 is very good @gaming. the good thing is you can easily switch to battery profile easily with stweak which is ???? for me..
clarity kernel is good for batery backup ..

I was using hardrock v14 and Battery profile v3. Battery backup and performance was very good. No lag, good multitasking, and better battery backup than stock 7.1 rom.
I live in iran and have to run VPN for allmost all sites and apps! (censorship ? ?). I'm using social apps along a day and didn't charge my phone for about two days and it's awesome.
From yesterday i installed HardRock Kernell v15 and using Profile v4. Its good for now but i can not talk about it right now. I will give you feedback soon.
