LG watch sport mvno - LG Watch Sport

I'm considering purchasing one. I know on the urbane lte edition apn's couldn't be edited nor added to work with mvno. Can a current owner confirm if this is still the case?

Using mine on T-MOBILE's network with Straight Talk. It's an AT&T version, works great, data and calls work great. Didn't have to setup apn's.

Verizon G2 on T-Mobile LTE

Looks like T-Mobile LTE works on Verizon G2's now, just today I tried out a T-Mobile SIM to compare coverage and was surprised to see it.

Also in preferred Network, in a ROM not stock, What setting are you using? LTE or 3G?
I'm on the 12b radio, running CM10.2, and the radio mode is global. I chose the fast.tmobile APN that was automatically added when I installed the SIM.
This speedtest was taken on Rt. 3 in southern NH:

I had caught a glimpse of LTE on Mahdi ROM when I first boot it. Didn't get a chance to test speeds in Miami. Soon as I setup my phone and reboot it , I lost it so I'm guessing it's spotty.
Using Radio 12B also and it's was on Global in Mobile Network.

Just curious - what bands does the verizon G2 NOT have compared to the tmobile version? I'm on tmobile, if I get the verizon version (which are all unlocked), is the hardware identical? Does the vzw version not have AWS hspa? I think my area has been refarmed for 1900 hspa anyways.

I know they have another LTE band that the Verizon version doesn't have, band 2?

Outside of the bands, the hardware is the same except for the Verizon G2 has Qi Wireless Charging and smaller back buttons. Supposedly with the addition of Qi, the Verizon G2 is 1mm thicker, so beware if you use any time of feather/slim cases. Most will probably work except the slutty, barely-there cases.

Is there a way to get tmobile LTE working with stock rom and some modifications?
I just got the G2 and wanted to keep the stock rom for a while until I got bored of it, but i'm not sure how to get the LTE working with tmobile. When I installed beanstalk it worked right away. I added the correct APN, but only showed H+ on stock rom.
thanks :good:

I may be wrong, but I believe tmobile lte working is based on your location. Some areas are using a certain band that our phones can use.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did get LTE working if I use another rom such as CM or beanstalk. But once I put stock rom back on, or even modified stock rom, I can't get LTE. I can try again, but pretty sure it gave only H+.
Is it stock?

I am running a stock G2 Verizon. Best I can get out of mine is 2G. When I put it on fast.t-mobile, I get nothing. How can I change the frequencies?
Also, have you found a way to install drivers to your PC? Mine will not recognize the phone except as a MTP drive. In debugging mode, but can't get driver to recognize the phone. Help!!! This has to be a Verizon issue. Any specific instructions would be appreciated.

I too use a Verizon G2 on T-mobile and I'm using this Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2661866
This is based on the international stock rom so T-mobile 4G works on it (just choose VS980 in the Aroma installer). It seems like Verizon stock Roms block bands that Verizon doesn't use, forcing you to rely on 2G or 3G.
tmobile uses verizon 700mhz banz for lte now too. verizon model will work on all gsm and lte the have tobswitch to gsm / lte with phone info app if your having issues

Question about T-Mobile/Unlocked Moto X

We have just purchased a Moto X made for T-Mobile and connected to AT&T towers and now are receiving terrible coverage. We are going through StraightTalk and are now actually roaming with good reception where we live, but we are roaming on USCellular towers. Is there any way that we can flash this phone to run on the USCellular network?
Ok, so I did a little research as far as coverage goes. If you're wanting to use the X on straight talk, then the at&t towers are going to be it for you. You could put the sprint version on straight talk, but if your Verizon straight talk phone is roaming onto us cellular, odds are Sprint is non existent where you live.
You could talk to the us cellular store about putting their version on prepaid, but you'll be looking at $65/month instead of the $45 that straight talk offers.
Now to answer your original question, it's impossible to put the t mobile x on us cellular because it doesn't have a CDMA radio.

If you're roaming on US Cellular and want to switch to US Cellular, all you would need to do is sign up with US Cellular and put their SIM in your phone. No flashing required. According to Wikipedia, the T-Mobile version supports all the non-LTE bands supported by the US Cellular version, but lacks some LTE bands that the US Cellular version supports, but this is a hardware limitation, AFAIK.

Unfortunately, both US Cellular and Verizon are CDMA carriers. Phones from GSM providers such as T-Mobile and AT&T will not work on their services.

The OP claims to be using a T-Mobile version of the Moto X with an AT&T SIM, which couldn't possibly roam on a CDMA carrier.
But a quick look at Wikipedia confirms that US Cellular is a CDMA carrier, although their Moto X version supports GSM bands also - which is what led me astray in my reply.

hi there. I'm looking to try out the tmobile $30 service and I have vzw right now. I was going to get a vzw model just in case things don't work out. As you said the tmobile service works with the vzw moto x but I was wondering if you're able to text/make calls while on the 4g LTE network? I've heard people having problems and not being able to surf the net while on call or not being able to receive texts/outgoing calls while on the 4G, but everything works on the HSPA network.
Thanks!

Verizon S6 edge on AT&T ?

I guess you knew this question was coming . Can the people with Off contract Verizon s6 edge try to see if their phone works with other providers e.g AT&T ? I have heard/read that previous verizon phones like NOTE 3/4 worked on AT&T, but the LTE DATA was not supported. It only did HSPA+.
I know I will need to get the Verizon full price i.e off contract phone. If it does then s6 edge 64GB, turns out to be $115 cheaper compared to buying it from other places.
Anyone ?
Most times Verizon phones won't get lte on att. Just hspa+

As poster above said.
Almost all Verizon phones will not get LTE with AT&T or T-mobile.
And didn't Sprint or T-mobile have the cheapest at full price?
I used a Verizon s4 and a Verizon note 2 on T mobile for over a year.
Verizon phones will work perfectly fine with GSM carriers, they have and utilize the GSM LTE bands just fine. In the beginning I had connection issues but Verizon radio updates opened it all up within a month or so of the LTE bands being opened for GSM use.

i just got rid of my Verizon Droid Turbo, which i was using with at&t, and it got LTE.
all newer Verizon phones are GSM unlocked. by newer i say like 2013+ i believe.
True, but AT&T's HSDPA+ is often times faster than Verizon's LTE at least in my market.

Verizon Galaxy s6 4g not working on tmo network

I am pretty confident that is the issue but I thought I should check with you all first.
Seems that Verizon's unlocked SG6 does not support band 4 which is the 4g band of tmobile, and naturally I cannot get 4g. Everything else works flawlessly but I cannot get 4g at all. Using my SG5 I get 4g no problem but not with the SG6.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case before I return it to Verizon? I just got it today and thought it was an amazing piece of technology but I might have to return it now...
tia
Why didn't you just get a T-Mobile version? Try going into the service menu *#2263# and go band selection and see if you can do it there.

I found this article that may help explain why Verizon's phone will not work on TMobile Network;
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2407896,00.asp
For what it's worth, I did a GOOGLE search and found this and several other articles about the difference between CDMA and GSM phones..(from what i understand, TMOBILE is GSM and Verizon and SPrint use CDMA)
I do hope you figure somehting out... GOOD LUCK

Were you able to get LTE/4G on T-Mobile using Verizon S6? From the specs list, it says Verizon's S6 support band 13 and band 4. Band 4 is what T-Mobile uses for LTE.
I'm curious to find out because I am looking to purchase the Verizon S6 and use it on T-Mobile.
TIA
T-Mobile also uses band 2 LTE in some areas- something worth looking at.

Using an Unlocked Factory Image on Verizon

I have a Nexus 6 that has the Verizon image on it and would like to know if an unlocked Nexus 6 would work perfectly fine on the Verizon network or will I have to keep the Verizon image?
In other words can I use N6F27I instead of the Verizon specific N8I11B and if I do will I still get complete coverage on all of the Verizon network?
You can use whatever nexus 6 Rom you want, with or without a locked bootloader. So yes it will still work on your network
Sent from my Oneplus 3t
But will it work utilizing all of Verizon's frequencies and network?
Yep, because the bands are all preset at the factory. The version of Android you throw on the N6 has nothing to do with it.
So would there be any advantage or disadvantage of using the Verizon version?
That's something you're going to have to find out for yourself. I'm not on stock.

I use an unlocked AT&T N6 that I removed all the AT&T ringtones, bootup chimes etc. and have no problem using it on Verizon. The only Verizon app I use is "My Verizon" to pay my bill and it works without a hiccup.
And it works on all of the Verizon bands including their 3G, 4G LTE and 1X Bands?
