Hi. I have dvr which came with reverse camera.
It has small round 5pin connector.
I opened a tiny box on its cable, there was a USB hub circuit inside, probably working just as extender.
Now i would like to use my cars own rear camera instead.
I have also huifei HU and it came with buckconverter for power suply and has also yellow video RCA that is now routed to my HU.
I could use a Y-splitter to ged another rca composite video signal OUT, but what do i need to convert it to dvr´s usb INput?
Ps: photo is taken with my new S8plus using auto settings

I received a Wing from T-Mobile yesterday and the device shipped with standard USB Mini connector (for sync/power) (rectangle with flared bottom) and a wall charger with the same typical mini USB connector. However, the connector on the phone is a similar rectangle shape, but has one diagonal corner, otherwise a perfect rectangle (while also some sort of mini USB connector, this connector is capable of handling audio in addition to sync and power...) It is the same jack that the headphones/mic fit into
In order to make this work, HTC packaged a small 1x1 node with a pigtail to convert the traditional flared mini USB connector to the new format connector.
Does anyone know where such a part might be able to be purchased? Or what the "name" of the connector is that I am describing? T-Mobile and HTC have both been rather useless and arrogant about the subject.
Thanks,

http://www.hot-wire-telekom.de/index.php?aktion=detail&suche=HTC TyTN&asuche=HW132233
Don´t know exactly what you mean? I´m using several USB cables and they all work.
If you want an adapter to use two usb (charge AND headset) HTC himselfe has one. And if you want an usb --> 2,5mm there are several on ebay.
FYI ... the new HTC USB connector is actually a standard Mini-USB with extra pins for analog audio. If you were to take your standard USB cable and plus it into the phone, it should work. The only thing you need the adapter for is to use the headset, which is unfortunate. All the adapter does is split off the USB signal from the audio signal.
At least, this is how I understand it. My Wing won't be here until Tuesday.
In the USA, the Wing ships with a 2-way splitter. One plug is for USB POWER, and the other for headset. Err... I don't know which, if either, DATA would go over, it's mainly intended for use in the car when you want to have it plugged in but use the headset also!
I need to order a smaller audio-converter... something that can go inline with my headphones without looking/feeling/being stupid-big.

I ordered a converted from usb to 2.5mm from igonemobile for use on my Dash and my Wing. It's about 4 inches long, not too big in my opinion.
So far so good. 10 bucks, shipping included.

Just received my HTC HD2 Car Kit from https://www.expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=188277 And it works with my T-Mobile U.S. HD2. It launches Navipanel as soon as you place the phone in it. When you tap "Navigation" it launches TeleNav. It rotates the screen as you change the orientation of the phone. It comes with a high-end suction cup that you need to twist to lock on a smooth flat surface (and it stays locked). It also comes with special smooth adhesive disk that you can mount the main unit to in case you don't have a smooth surface available where you want to put it. It has a car charger that has a USB port and a micro to standard USB cable that connects to the base of the mount. A little bit pricey, but when considering that it meets my needs perfectly, then it is worth it.
It looks like it covers the headphone port, is there any way to get audio out from the unit or phone?
I was told there is such a thing as a micro USB to 3.5mm cable. Connecting this to the base and to your car's aux jack might work. You won't be able to charge the phone though. Unless there was a micro USB Y-splitter....??? Hmm...

Because ironcrotch is right, it does cover the headphone jack. There is however a micro usb at the base of the stand that could be used (acoording to HTC) to output audio. If so, then a micro usb to 3.5 mm cable could be connected to the car kit for the benefit of listening to audio.

It's a micro and not mini usb port on the base? If it was mini, there's an HTC USB charging/audio splitter that has a 3.5mm output and usb charging input in one...

yep that's expensive. I ended up going with CoPilot 8 its only $30 and no subscription fees - It does everything my Garmin can and more. I bought one of those universal windshield mounts and an extra usb cable to keep in my car so I can charge it. Grand total $50.
Since I have a Premier(pioneer) headunit i can plug my usb and 3.5 jack into it and get all my audio through my stereo - at the same time too.
Did anyone tried to use this with an micro-B to Mini-B adapter and the HTC USB/Audio Splitter.
I'm currently playing with the idea of getting an HD2 and I already own that splitter. But being able to use Audio in the carholder is significant for me...
any information on that issue would be very welcome.
cheers

Dear friends,
I'd like to use HD2 to keep my mp3 (songs and audio books) and listen it via car stereo. Does any one know how's AUX output's quality? Can I listen to audio via HD2's USB port (by using car stereo + USB cable + HD2)? What's the best way to connect HD2 to car audio system?
Thanks in advance.
I'm hacking a portable USB keyboard (from HP iPaq) to work on my note and planning on including USB hub, battery power pack, USB port for flash drive.
I'm also planning on adding HDMI out. I'll either include a switch to go between USB (keyboard etc) and video only or if I can have everything then this will become my "turn Note into a computer" all in one solution when plugged into HDMI monitor/television.
All the pins are there. But I don't know if MHL and USB can be used at the same time. Anyone know or do I have to try it and see what happens?
Blowing up my Note USB chip would not make my day! LOL

Sorry to rain on your ideas for the second time but not possible. Even if the logic were there to somehow implement both modes, there just is not enough bandwidth on those wires. You only have two twisted pairs and 1080P needs almost all that bandwidth to push enough ones and zeros to fill the screen at 25-30fps.
Your best bet for satisfying that fantasy is bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Think I saw a youtube video yesterday of a guy playing a game through MHL out while controlling through a bluetooth keyboard.
They are mutually exclusive connections at the hardware level, so no software mod can make this possible.
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are great - check out my youtube channel "AndroidNZ" for a demo on MHL and various uses.
I was already impressed a while back by your video showing MHL video and so I went and bought a connector of my own on ebay
My main focus is to make a little do it all dock for sitting having lunch in a cafe. All built into a wired HP iPaq keyboard. I currently have a Dell Axim bluetooth keyboard and Logitech bluetooth mouse, but they aren't as smooth as I'd like. But the mouse is probably only useful when using a big screen.
So hardware hacking time!
But even if I can't do both, it will be nice to have my phone sitting next to the television with only a short HDMI lead and the phone doesn't flop around because of the stiffness of said HDMI cable as it does currently with my existing octopus setup of leads.
So it will have two modes.
Video mode where the keyboard only acts as a stand, battery pack and video port.
Cafe mode where I have keyboard with stand, USB flash drive, battery pack and USB.
All in a 15cm x 10cm x 2.5cm tidy expanding package :-D
Maybe when the Note 2 comes out with USB 3 we might be able to have both video and USB
oops, duplicate
MHL + OTG Multimedia dock is now available!
Heres the answer to your mhl + otg problem guys but a bit costly!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sa...axy-Note-2-N7100-EDD-S20EWEGSTD-/230889526839
who can read is in advantage
this dock station is for the note II and not for the note I.
The pinout is different.
but 1 solution could be plugging in otg then usb hub then the micro usb female to usb A then the Mhl adaptor and the other connector of the hub with the mouse and the keyboard
http://de.focalprice.com/CA0352B/USB_A_Male_to_Micro_USB_Female_Adapter_Black.html
but finally i think it won´t work because there is not enoug voltage and power to get all devices so u need an external power supplier for the hub or an battery connect with the hub. try it out and tell us of your experience

I need too know how get system get signal (From rear Camera) when put in reverse! now nothing is happening when put car in reverse
i need to see my rear camera
must ik plug in some wire?
i am from holland sorry for the english hope you can help me?
You have a few options. Some sort of CAN-BUS decoding box that usually comes with radios in the form of iDataLink Maestro module or you can wire it directly to the reverse lights.
To wire to the reverse lights you'll need to run a cable from the taillight harness all the way to the front of the car. It's kind of a pain, but many rear-camera video cables have a power wire built in so you can tap the reverse light wire and use it to power the camera as well as the reverse signal on the headunit.

I have a Hyundai Tucson with a Kenwood DNX692. I would like to have a rear seat entertainment for my rear seat passengers. I was exploring various options and most are priced pretty high. We made do with an ipad mounted to rear screen on a trip. Although it was good, it did have a few disadvantages:
1. Inability to control what was running.
2. Inability to control the downtime.
3. Additional hassle of either downloading or using data
4. Inability to play DVDs
Searching for seatback options, I thought of another idea. Why not just get two android tablets (cheap ones, not like Samsung galaxy - https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...galleryofferlist.normalList.80.72f95f61UXzwUq) and just wire it with the HDMI input from my Kenwood. Theoretically speaking, all I need to do is get the output from my Kenwood(not sure what it is) and convert it into HDMI. So all I need is to run the cable to my rear seat and a couple of charging cables to my rear seat as well. I will then need to use a HDMI adapter with Charging port similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/CHOETECH-Ada...keywords=galaxy+s9+hdmi&qid=1548202641&sr=8-3. I am even looking at removing the battery from the tablet. That way it powers on only if my car is switched on. Is this possible? Has anyone done this here?
