Hi,
I've got a xperia x1 and i want to have android instead of windows mobile.
But if i run android by the tuts it doesnt start when i boot the device.
so i want to delete windows mobile fully and want only android
how can i do this?
Thanks Wipped
PS srry for bad english
You can't replace WM with Android yet but you can do so Haret autostarts, use the search function and you will find how to do it.
I don't think that they have solve how to boot from internal memory so you have to have Android on the SD-card.
use dual boot & select android as the default OS
how do i do that? (dual boot)

hi guys, i have a little problem with my computer. i can't select anything when it's booting up. i installed ubuntu but i couldn't start it because i couldn't choose which os to start same thing happens when i'm trying to choose to start in safe mode. i mean, it gives me 2 choices, to start with ubuntu or windows xp. i can't move up or down to choose which to start and it automatically starts with windows
Try another keyboard.
Maybe the keyboard only works when booted in the os (ie like a Bluetooth keyboard).
Does the keyboard work in BIOS?

hi, I'm new in the forum,
my xperia x1 has a little problem, it hasn't got the power button , I want to try installing android OS but my problem is entering the bootloader without the power button...is it possible?
thanks
to run android you mustn't enter bootloader because you run anroid out of winmo by pressing haret.exe so you don't need to enter bootloader
but installing android will delete winmo? if I install android and I wants to return to winmo what I have to do?
and if I do a complete backup with spb backup and then I install android how can I restore everything from the backup?
at the moment you are not able to put android on your phone instead of winmo, you run windows mobile and run haret.exe then it will launch android, it boots into android (and don't touch your windows mobile, it run in the background) if you restart your phone it will boot windows and then you have to click haret.exe if you want to run android. It doesn't erease your winmo. Android is installed on the SD card not on the phone
Sorry for my bad English, and if I have to open a new thread cause I'm a little off-topic just say me
by the way I've tried installing and now I understand
another question...why some Android versions have some files with the same name in the same folder of the package I download?
the files that in the other versions are in the folder "npkinstall" are in the root folder and when I try copying the files in the SDcard it says that there are some files with the same name and I can't keep them both (startup and zImage)
So.... I have a crappy Sony VAIO laptop and I installed windows 8 release preview on it. It worked fine for about a day then I wanted Ubuntu back so I installed the windows version thinking I would dual boot. Yeah right. Now my computer will not go into anything but the windows recovery thing. If I go to "use a different OS" I have 2 windows 8s both on the same volume (volume 3). It won't automatic repair (says that it couldn't fix my computer and I'm missing SrtTrail.txt) and it will not refresh (says that it can't refresh and no changes were made). I created recovery media from a desktop computer with windows 8 release preview and my computer doesnt even recognize the flash drive in "reset your PC". I need help as I am an android developer and I NEED Ubuntu back. Thank you.

Since this has nothing to do with mobile devices, moved to Off-Topic.

Get the ubuntu disk, pop it in, boot from CD, start new install, format the whole hard drive, wait for Ubuntu to install.

The problem with windows8 is it installs its on bootloader and once you delete windows 8 from that partition the bootloader gets confused and still thinks windows 8 is the primary os.
You want to download easyBCD to delete windows 8 from the boot menu this will allow you to select the os originally installed.
Hi,
I did a clean Windows 10 install and of course, the Boot to Android app in Windows has gone.
How can I get it back? I tried copy this app from a brand new x98 (wifi version, not 3G) but it did not work.
Many thanks.
On techtablets in the download section is the original switcher.
Search for "Teclast Windows To Android Switcher".
