Hi all,
I have a soft bricked kindle which is stuck in TWRP logo but the recovery system isn't loading. I attached the tablet to my PC with a regular cable so that i can install the proper drivers for it so I can try to fix it via fastboot mode, but the problem is that my pc is unable to recognize my kindle it just says in the USB controller section in device manager "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I've already installed the adb drivers for the device without any change. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Same problem since 2016 , I M looking for how can Umbrick my kfhd7 ,,,,,,NO SOLUTION

I recently installed the wrong boot loader on my Kindle Fire HD 7" (2012). I got the red screen, after doing a lot of research on the forums I obtained a fast boot cable and installed KFFA to attempt to recover it. When I plug the device in using the fastboot cable it comes to the fast boot screen but on my pc it says device not recognized and in the device manager it shows error 43. I rebooted my computer and everything, reinstalled the kindle drivers but nothing seems to work. I even tried another computer thinking it could be my usb port but I got the same error. I tried to test to see if the device was in fast boot mode from another utility and it just sits at "waiting for device". I've tried to connect the fast boot cable and the connect the regular usb cable in after the device was in fast boot mode. I'm not sure what the issue is, the kindle fire seems to respond to being plugged into the computer but the computer does not recognize it. Please help.

You can try SRT use option 3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254 use only the fastboot cord. Here's some more on error code 43 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725873(v=ws.10).aspx Windows

Hi all. I have a Kindle Fire HD with Demonstration firmware, just bought with broken touch to repair. But tablet do not recognized by the windows, also tried with mac os. This is not the problem of the drivers, because the ID of the device also UNKNOWN. I think something wrong with the USB in tablet. Is it possible to restore Kindle by another method? I tried factory cable also, Kindle goes into fastboot but device still not recognized and shows as Unknown.
After playing with Kindle fire hd, I could to put it in SAFE MODE. In this mode tablet do not recognized by the Windows at all. As I see in this DEmonstration firmware something wrong with communication in USB. Is there any method to flash the tablet not by USB. Please help. Maybe in the terminal, as I saw on the motherboard points RX TX?
If you can get in fast boot there may be a chance... Is this the 7in? Possibly try SRT tool
Yes 7", I can go into fastboot by factory cable, but computer do not see the tablet correctly. It says unknown device with ven_0000&dev_0000.
What the OS to use, linux I think?
As I see, almost all utilities for Windows, but in Windows my KIndle as UNKNOWN DEVICE. And it is impossible to use any of them. Please answer, is anyone here who can explain how to recover this tablet in terminal mode or maybe in another way.
I would recommend using Linux
Hello! So a couple months ago, I tried rooting my KFHD 7 (7.2.3). During the process of installing Google services, I went to restart my device and got the 'bricked' red screen. I recently got a fastboot cable online. I tested it, and the Kindle boots into fastboot with the orange lettering and the computer recognized it and began downloading the driver software. I then tried to use KindleFireFirstAide to restore it to stock software. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get anything besides the 'waiting for device' message.
I then went into my device manager to see that the driver software for the Kindle was named "Tate-PVT -8" with the message driver unavailable. I've tried reinstalling Kindle Fire drivers from Amazon, tried uninstalling the Tate driver and reinstalling. I'm unsure what to do to get it to detect my kindle. Any help is appreciated, I'm admittedly not very tech-savvy is this department, so I'm completely lost. Thanks!

Do you have android-sdk installed? when that happened to me "Tate-PVT -8" in device manager I did the manual install driver option in windows and had it search KFFirstAide/ drivers folder/ in the program in the c:\kffirstaide and it installed them from that folder "Drivers" allow install of unsigned driver see if that helps
I was using FireFlash to reboot my kindle into TWRP. I didn't check the box for the bootloader. It rebooted into TWRP just fine, but when I rebooted again, it now just shows the white/orange Kindle Fire logo for a few seconds, turns off, then turns back on and shows the Kindle Fire logo again. I have a factory cable to get my kindle into fastboot mode. When I plugg it in using the factory cable, it says "Fastboot kindle fire." Now the only problem I have is that when I try using ADB commands while my kindle is plugged in to my computer, it says that there are no devices. In the device manager, my kindle showed up as Tate-PVT-08. I downloaded some drivers to see if that would fix the problem. The package I installed gave me three options; Android ADB Interface, Android Bootloader Interface, and Android Composite ADB Interface. I tried all three drivers with no success. I borrowed a friends kindle to see if plugging it in would download the right drivers. The driver their kindle used was MTP USB Device. I tried using that driver for my kindle, but encountered an error when it was installing. It wouldn't tell me the problem. Is there something I can do to fix it?
Hi, all
I’m a newbie he and I extremely need your support and sorry if I’m starting threat in wrong place. I have my Kindle Fire HD7 2012 TATE bricked during installing a custom ROM. I’ve searched everything but had no chance to find the similar issue solution described.
First I had it stuck on a Kindle Fire logo after rebooting from TWRP after flashing stock ROM again (probably was some problem with a bootmode). Device stopped on Kindle Fire logo and has no reaction. Then I’ve got a factory cable and was able to enter the fastboot and tried change the bootmode with KindleFire Utility and something gone wrong. KF turned off and just sometimes turns on and goes to fastboot (even with ordinary usb cable) just for couple seconds and turns off again. When I connect KF to PC it tries to connect and I hear connect and disconnect USB devise sound constantly. PC even tries to install some drivers for some reason (actually I have KF drivers and ABD installed properly as I it checked with another Kindle).
The second reason is that the the battery is low, as I haven’t charged it for some time and I’m not sure it was charging while was connected when stuck a KF logo. Kindle don't power on and not charging from USB our wall outlett (tried different cables/
Does anyone has any idea? Please help!!!! I will really appreciate any support and thanks to all of you in advance.
