7" Kindle Fire HD stuck in boot loop, not recognized by ADB - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was using FireFlash to reboot my kindle into TWRP. I didn't check the box for the bootloader. It rebooted into TWRP just fine, but when I rebooted again, it now just shows the white/orange Kindle Fire logo for a few seconds, turns off, then turns back on and shows the Kindle Fire logo again. I have a factory cable to get my kindle into fastboot mode. When I plugg it in using the factory cable, it says "Fastboot kindle fire." Now the only problem I have is that when I try using ADB commands while my kindle is plugged in to my computer, it says that there are no devices. In the device manager, my kindle showed up as Tate-PVT-08. I downloaded some drivers to see if that would fix the problem. The package I installed gave me three options; Android ADB Interface, Android Bootloader Interface, and Android Composite ADB Interface. I tried all three drivers with no success. I borrowed a friends kindle to see if plugging it in would download the right drivers. The driver their kindle used was MTP USB Device. I tried using that driver for my kindle, but encountered an error when it was installing. It wouldn't tell me the problem. Is there something I can do to fix it?

IMPOSSIBLE to install Android on my Kindle and TWRP

I'm finding it somewhat impossible to install a custom ROM on this currently useless device.
It is a Kindle Fire HD 7" (not the new HDX)

I tried this to downgrade it to 7.2.1 but once completed the tablet said it cant boot and has to do a restore, then it goes back to 7.30. There is a 7.2.3 option too but I never tried it.
I don't know what to do all I want is to get rid of this stupid crap rom but if I can't I'll just have to use a launcher... any ideas?
The first method works... You just have to put the ROM and corresponding gapps onto your sdcard before hand or it will be stuck boot looping into twrp. If it doesn't automatically go into twrp but you still have the blue logo, just hold power up when you power the kindle on while the logo is orange and usually by the time it turns blue you can let go and it will go into twrp.

The first method doesn't work man. The blue logo never comes up just boot loops the kindle fire logo. I download FireFlash and move the freedom img and twrp onto my kindle sd and plug it right into fireflash and reboot, then it just boot loops.
Alright I found out and installed CM10.2 but my computer does not recognize it anymore, it says MTP USB DEVICE but does not appear in My Computer.

Yea, the method works as you can see. Try removing the old driver and let windows find the new one.

Yeah the old driver was Kindle. So I uninstalled it and now it comes up as MTP USB DEVICE after I select Media Device from USB computer connections on the tablet. Still not recognized in my computer... sigh. I want it to appear as a Mass storage device so I can transfer files. On Linux I get Unable to open MTP device '[usb:001,001]' when trying to open it.d
Now when I boot into TWRP, device manager shows Kindle Fire -> Android Composite ADB Interface but still doesnt appear in My Computer.
Android composite isn't meant for browsing, its meant for using adb commands. If you uninstalled the MTP device on windows and let it search for a new driver when u refresh devices, it should be viewable, also what distro and version of Linux are you on, because some handle mtp better than others.

[Q] Kindle Fire went from red screen to Hard bricked after following XDA advice

I have a Friends Kindle Fire that their child somehow "red screened" I bought the fastboot cable from amazon and came here for advice on how to un-brick it. found this Thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2304584
and followed the instructions fully. Cmd window said finished, I unplugged it from the kindle, pressed the power button to power down and reboot pressed the power button again and NOTHING! plugged the fastboot cord in and nothing, plugged charger into wall and nothing, tried running that otter2-u-boot-prod-10.2.4.bin again and cmd box says waiting on device. device is unresponsive in every single way. I have all of the drivers installed correctly because everything went good the first time. but now, Nothing, nada, zip, zilch! what can I do if my pc cant even communicate with it? was I instructed to install something wrong for my tablet? what happened?
If it was a kindle fire HD (tate) and you flashed a kindle fire 2 (otter2) bootloader then yes you hard bricked it, the bootloader aren't cross compatible on kindle devices. You will have to do some soldering to fix it.

[Q] Unable to recover kindle fire hd

I recently installed the wrong boot loader on my Kindle Fire HD 7" (2012). I got the red screen, after doing a lot of research on the forums I obtained a fast boot cable and installed KFFA to attempt to recover it. When I plug the device in using the fastboot cable it comes to the fast boot screen but on my pc it says device not recognized and in the device manager it shows error 43. I rebooted my computer and everything, reinstalled the kindle drivers but nothing seems to work. I even tried another computer thinking it could be my usb port but I got the same error. I tried to test to see if the device was in fast boot mode from another utility and it just sits at "waiting for device". I've tried to connect the fast boot cable and the connect the regular usb cable in after the device was in fast boot mode. I'm not sure what the issue is, the kindle fire seems to respond to being plugged into the computer but the computer does not recognize it. Please help.

Yes, use a factory/Flashboot cable and use SRT 1.3.5. With that cable the Kindle will go into fastboot as soon as you connect it to a PC/Laptop which has Fastboot drivers loaded. When you are in the fastboot mode, you can confirm that that teh ADB driver is being used by going to Devices--->Kindle
Use Kindle Fire first aide
You should Kindle Fire First Aide at this link to unbrick your Kindle after fixing drivers.

I also had Red Screen on my KFHD 7" and need some help. I made a factory cable today and when I plug it in it goes to Fastboot screen. I running Win7 64 and have installed Java SDK and Android SDK and I also installed adb usb drivers from Kindle Fire Utility. However device manager shows it under Other Devices as Tate-PVT-08 and when running KF SRT it just shows "waiting for device" and never changes. I have verified that adb_usb.ini has 0x1949. I've been at this for some time now and I don't know what else to try. I think it may be permanently bricked. I appreciate any suggestions.

SUCCESS! I was finally able to fix my RSOD. Here is what I did.
1. Opened up Android Studio and SDK Manager.
2. Selected Tools and Manage Add-on Sites.
3 Select User Defined Sites tab and click New and enter.... Sorry, I'm a new user and not allowed to post URL's yet. Search for "Amazon Setting Up Your Development Environment" and url will be under "Installing the Amazon Fire TV SDK Add-on" section.
4. Then scroll down in Manager window and expand Extras then select and install Amazon Kindle Fire USB Driver packages.
5. Connect Kindle with factory cable and open Device Manager, right click on Tate-PVT-08 and select Update Driver.
6. Browse Computer for driver, and select Let Me Pick..., then scroll down and you should now have Kindle Driver available (I didn't have this before).
7. Select Android Composite ADB Interface.
8. Run SR Tool and I had to first select 1 to Restore-Factory Rooted with SuperSU.apk, kept fingers crossed and it finished. (But still had RSOD)
9. Then ran SR Tool again and select 3 for Restore-Factory Recover.
10. Disconnect and cycle power to Kindle and was prompted with a screen saying there was a booting problem and had to Reset to Factory defaults. After that it booted up as new!!!
