I saw a SGT that is hanging at the bootlogo on ebay.
it's ending tomorrow, so any answers till then would be appreciated.
I hope I understood it correctly from what the seller wrote.
Is this easy to fix and how?
Im hoping to save some €uros, would it be a good idea if I can get it cheaper?
edit:
one more question. is there a clockworkmod bootable sdcard for the tab or what do I have to do to flash a new rom?
Mate, there are a lot of reasons the tab isn't booting. You may not be able to recover this.
I personally wouldn't buy a tab thats not booting, there could be a hardware problem and then those euros you spent have just been thrown away as you can't return the tab. You were fully aware there was a problem before you bought it....
Good idea is to visit other countries ebay, you may get a tab for cheap though do make sure it is compatible with your networks and the seller is happy to sell overseas...
seller writes it was like that when he got it?
is this possible at all?
or must he have done something to it, like flashing a rom and doing something wrong so that he cant recover it.

Well, if you buy it from him like that you would then be able to claim it was like that when you got it. It could be anything, as stated before, and I wouldn't touch it unless it was super cheap and I could use it for parts. Mine was brand new and after having it for almost a month it had to go in for repair (covered under warranty, but still a pain). Since you will likely not be covered under warranty, I just wouldn't bother.
he is sending the original slip with the device.
someone bought it for 301€, quite a lot.
I have a vendor ROM on my Mi Mix: MIUI Global 8.0.7.0.0 (MAHCNDI)
Has anyone else found this ROM on their phone?
It came with gapps installs and has been completely fine so far.

Ebay
Here's a good question - how do you tell if there's any dodgy spyware or whatever installed on a vendor rom?

Same for me. My concern is that I think there should be an update. That is not the latest software revision...

From what I've read vendor roms have 5 digits, stock roms have 4 digit version numbers.
I too, have this ROM. I've had this phone for 3 years and love the design. Just last week, the screen started separating from the frame on the right side of the phone. The flash doesn't work anymore and it has a small chip on the right top corner of the glass. I don't know how this happened because I take superlative care of my devices. Anyway, I tried to find another new one from a seller and I DID find one on DH Gate that was selling them brand new for $192. At first I thought it was a hoax, but I bought it and it was delivered on Thursday. Monday-Thursday from China to Texas. I always choose expedited shipping. DHL usually delivers in 2 days from China to Texas.
That being said, the new one had some strange developer ROM on it and I did root it, but was having issues with the original ROM, so I reverted back to an older version that could be rooted. I bought my original Mi Mix from a seller on E-bay named manysellok. I ordered about 10 phones from that seller, so I like to go with sellers that I have a good experience with. I just wrote the seller tonight on 6-7-2020 and told them about my situation. The new ROM had the Mi store and the THEMES app are both in Chinese. No matter what I do, I cannot make them display English.

I'm not sure if I want to sell it or not. The display on the old one is much brighter than the new one.
This was the most expensive phone that I ever bought. I paid like $725 for it. It's still very usable, just that flash issue and the screen separating on the right side. Honestly, I don't notice it unless I view it from the right side. Using the phone normally I don't even notice it. Other than those 3 issues, the phone is pristine. I never hold it to my ear, I always talk with bluetooth. And I have been a germaphobe for about 35 years now, way before the corona virus came out. When I buy a used phone, usually on E-bay, I'll wipe it down about 3 times with Clorox bleach foamer. Then use Clorox wipes, then finally with alcohol. I don't allow germs on my phones. I wasn't really thinking about selling it, but if you really needed one, I can point you to the seller that I bought my new one from. He's in China. Choose expedited shipping and he'll ship it Fed-Ex. I got mine 2 days after he shipped it and I live in Texas.

Im using my Mix since 01.2017, no any separation anywhere no flash issue, yours might be reacting to bleach/alcohol. But I guess there's a special glue for it. I'd say go for it.
Sent from my Xiaomi Mi Mix using XDA Labs
I didn't use all of the chemicals on this one because I bought it brand new.
I only do that with USED phones that I buy.
Check out the link I sent. He's a good seller and you'll get the new one fast with Fed-Ex.

Hi all...I'm sorry if something like this has been posted before...if so please link me to it and delete this.
I have the g4s little brother, the LG g stylo (metropcs), and I was thinking about a slight upgrade. I found a bnib tmobile g4 on eBay (located in usa not china)
My current phone is stock rooted 6.0 with xposed and I have everything set just how I like it...I also use my phone everyday for work so it's very important that it works flawlessly.
I've been reading about boot loop issues with the g4 and that worries me...I'm also worried about this whole thing I've recently come to find out about xposed not working on nougat? But I suppose I could just stay on a mm based Rom? I'm also trying to learn about magisk as I didn't even know what that was because I really haven't tinkered with this phone in quite a while.
Anyway I'm wondering if anyone here has any good advice/knowledge to share with me...any links that could provide good reading material would be appreciated to catch me up to speed...or if maybe you can suggest another phone to upgrade to? The g4 I found was $140...but I'd probably spend up to 250ish? The g4 is just sounding like a good little upgrade for less than what I paid for my stylo new...plus I'd still get to use g4 tweaksbox...If you've read all of this I appreciate your time thanks.

depends on 2 things... 1 if its really a h811 ive seen many and inside motherboard is another variant..
2. its not guarantee but as long as you get a phone made from 2016 onward the better. doesnt mean it could not bootloop but chances are slim. i have 1 from jan 2016 anyhting above that manufacturing date . less chance to bootloop also LG has extended warranty to 2 years from manufacture warranty so they say.

well the only way i guess is to ask the seller for manufacturing date. tell them some units are defective and you want to look for the phone with newest manufacturing date. cause if you get one and its from 2015 are very likely to bootloop.
This isn't coming from New York
Read it fully
Coming from hong Kong or china
Likely a refurb

Mine isnt and its been fine. Just get a phone from a Xiaomi Certified stores and also do a background check if they are offering a return or replacement for factory damaged phones. Dont accept anything that would cost you cheaper than the recommended price.
Hey Folks,
first i´ve to say, i´m from germany, so my english is maybe not good at all, so please be tolerant^^
a few days ago i bought the new asus rog phone 2 as an import from china, ´cause for the european market in the first time was only the 512gb-phone available, but i don´t need such a big version of the phone, also the 128gb version is cheaper. long story short, the phone arrived and the intern memory is only 18gb instead of 128gb. German asus-support gives no support ´cause the phone comes from china, but the guy told me one thing: the suppliers from china changed the firmware into "WW"-Firmware, what also means i´ll be locked from automaticly android-updates and while installing these Firmware it maybe comes to a partition problem why only 18g of the intern memory remained. Please, can anybody help me to solve this prob.? I´m really not interessted to send the phone back to china ´cause postage will be way expensive.
I´m a ´lil bit into the flashing and rooting-game, so if you have any suggestions going that way that´ll be no prob, i´ll try it.
Greetings

Check this out, though OP hasn't responded, he was advised to go through recovery and brush (flash) new ROM.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/help/rog-phone-incorrect-storage-capacity-t4008459
With your experience in flashing, it'll be easy for you to resolve as I believe it was a mistake made when flashing global ROM by the sellers.
Hello again,
i solved the problem, it's so easy that i've never thinked about it, the only thing to do is a factory reset, then the memory is complete available.
Greetings
