Has anyone got any idea if this will be available in the UK any time soon?
I've been wondering the same thing since they announced it.
Getting annoyed about the issue to be honest!

I've jumped ship...
I ordered the Huawei watch 2 from Amazon.
Releasing on 3rd may.
I have been checking very website I can think of since 10th FEB when LG said it was coming to the UK 'in the coming weeks'. Become a bit of an obession really now and it's driving me mad!!. Considered ordering from he US but works out very expensive. Tempted just to go for the Huawei watch but don't like it as much as the LG. I've live chatted and called LG, LG newsroom, AT&T, LG press team UK, Best BUY US, Google wear team and still no solid answer. Come on LG release it in the UK!!!

Hehe you and me both!!
I'm still checking but I've pre ordered the Huawei. Being delivered on Wednesday.
If I don't like it and LG releases in 30 days then happy days.
They're also giving away free wireless headphones as well with the pre order.
Got mine!
I got sick of waiting, tried some American resellers who all say the watch is unavailable in America so it seems it's a worldwide issue.
I managed to find a supplier on eBay, shipping directly from Korea. Paypal charged me a stupid conversion rate but I thought it was still worth paying £400 plus £88 import duty. It arrived five days later and I have to say, it well worth waiting for!

Got my Huawei watch today.
It's very nice but I'm thinking the screen is a tad too small.
It would have been nice had the bezels rotated but well worth the money..

Which model did you get specifically and how is your GSM reception (assuming you tried putting SIM into it)? I'm asking, because these US-watches does not seem to support all GSM bands here in europe.
The titanium one, its unlocked but im waiting fot o2 to send the right sim.

I've just brought back to the UK from the USA the AT&T version.
Great watch, works very well taking and making calls when linked via Bluetooth to my phone.
However, I've tried various nano SIM cards inside it, but with no success so far.
I don't think it is SIM locked, for it does not say so when you insert the SIM, but when you look at the SIM status, it says 'out of service' but does list the phone number/voicemail number/AP etc so again indicates that it is unlocked.
So far I've tried EE, Three, and giffgaff sims.
Looking at the frequency compatibility it should work on either 2G or 3G, but not LTE (I realise that), and you can select 3G instead of LTE on the watch menu.
It is not a deal breaker for me, but it would be 'nice' if I can use it independently with its own SIM, if required.
Did you get yours working?
Thanks,
Mike.
But wouldn't that mean that you can use it with 3G network?
I'm thinking you might need to get at the apn settings, no idea how that would be done as I couldn't figure out any way to access them.

I am coming to the conclusion that the watch is not compatible in the UK/Europe and that the info on various web sites such as frequency check, stating that the watch is compatible with UK/European 2G/3G frequencies are incorrect (900/2100) and the watch is unfortunately limited to the US 2G/3G frequencies 850/1900. I'll have another go, but I'm not hopeful.
On the positive side, it does work very well when tethered to my smartphone, both for making calls and receiving them, the speaker on the watch is very loud and clear. Today I had my Sony Xperia Ultra tooked away in my jacketed pocket, and took several calls on the watch outside in a rally field while walking around outside.
The general quality of the watch is superb, its a solid chunk of stainless steel, very futuristic and clean cut, and the watch face is large and clear, with I believe one of the biggest diameter and the highest resolution, higher than the new TAG Connected 45 even, and that still does not have a speaker or heart rate monitor!
The other alternative is the new Huawei watch 2 if you really want a 3G/LTE watch in the UK. However reports are that the build quality is not a patch on the LG, the screen is smaller and lower resolution, and no rotating watch crown like the LG which works great.
Battery drain is not all doom and gloom either on the LG, i'm easily managing a full day no problem.
So in conclusion, i'm still happy.

Nice to hear you're enjoying using it. Still waiting for a UK release, which could be a long way off yet. Tempted by the Huawei watch 2 on amazon just not as keen on it. ve the idea of the scrolling crown for navigation and really put off by the 1.2" screen. Trying to get any info on a UK release from any source is near on impossible. Keep us posted if you have any luck using the 3G or GSM frequencies.
What is the hold up? Not heard a word since the initial announcement! At this rate we won't even get the Style in the UK.
I was hoping to purchase as a gift in May. Not going to happen! Argh!

The watch was meant to be a gift to ME from my siblings for my birthday this coming week! Haha!
I hope the watch gets released in the UK soon, I don't want an imported one with questionable warranty coverage.
The Style has been available in Canada for over a week now so I hope that means we should get some movement soon.. although I hope it's not the Style only available here like in Canada. I want the Sport! [emoji4]

I got mine from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322475104669
Service was superb, it wouldnt let me use my mastercard for some reason, so I paid through paypal who charged a very high conversion rate, and there was £88 duty to pay.
I was just like you, Ive had my eye on this watch since November and I was desperate!
It is definitely worth waiting for!

did your movies take forever to sync? Not sure if its cause of the mac beta software of what but its taking forever.
So technically i could get this from walmart, get an unlock code and slap mt ATT sim card in it. They are both the same GSM frequency's, I think.

You could run att, but only get att's edge network on the US version.
I have an hd2 on att but am switching to tmobile this weekend for this phone and the venue pro to get the full 3g experince on them. It also helped that a block from my work they are installing new network towers for tmobile.
And I wont be running slow edge any longer.
Yep, sure enough, it's there! Got to hold the box No way I was paying 640 as I already have a rep scheduled to call me Monday morning and it can be no more than 490 after tax and everything. But, I was this ____ close to having it.
hi, 1st post but 4 months old reader of this forum.
I called walmart this morning and they said they have it but it is for a 2 yrs contract only. Maybe I'll drop by tomorrow and ask in person.
Why does your transaction state $600 when their website for pre-order is only $549. Wirefly is also $549.

The T-Mobile version of the HD7 does not support the frequencies required to take advantage of ATT's 3G network. So you would be stuck on Edge if you bring this phone over to ATT.
I just picked a HTC HD7 from the Walmart in Fairview, OR. The Super Center store
p.s Clackamas has them, but the ladie in charge pulled them off the shelf and wouldn't sell them.
The Eatsport Palza one will not be carrying them.

Did you seriously paid this much money for a phone ?
That's hallucinating...
I'm on AT&T and have to pay 175$ early cancellation fees if I move to TMO which I'll do gladly and pay only 199$ for the phone. 175$ + 199$ = 374$, no way I'm paying 640$ for a phone...
Would really like to buy this phone, been looking on the internet but all the usual suspect like carphone warehouse and phones 4 u don't have this handset, so just a simple question.
Where are people buying their handsets from please?
Many thanks.
PS: I'm in the UK.
EDIT: Just noticed that T-mobile are selling it.
I would buy it on expansys or maybe in German shops...it's no big deal because you live in Europe ...and I think on a t-mobile shop they are really expensive

no edge isn't even 3G . Hopefully they roll out the 1900mhz network here soon. I know it's already done in Vegas. They need to do it soon, because it would help them with Iphones as well. They are losing a bunch of customers because of this.
ohhh man thats rough... yeh hopefully they roll out the 1900mhz.... I want you guys to enjoy this gem too
Holy shiiiyit, quite a response, i'm guessing that this phone is something to shout about then, so i'll be picking mine up as soon as i can raise the capital, going to try and get orange care too as it's easily the best insurance.
I'm only a few months into my contract with a standard S3 so i'll sell this beauty and I also have a One X to go too, so should be near the mark when it comes to buying.
I don't mind about the lock on the phone, i'm pretty sure that Voodoo will release something.
I appreciate all of your responses and will thank you all but i only get 8 a day so i'll start from the top.
Many thanks.

Hello there m8, how hope your well, in all honesty i'll just buy it from T-mobile, unless Orange have something i can get.
If not then it's online i go, can't stand flea bay and would prefer a nice long warranty if possible, might wait until carphone warehouse have it, should be a couple of weeks, beginning of November, i'll ask Raffa if he's getting one, he should as i imagine the porting process should be a breeze.
PS: Did you say it's actually thinner?? That's mental if it's true, have they changed the cooling method or something?
Hey guys, have this on preorder from Three, black version which is end of April for them (on one hand good as my O2 contract doesn't end until then, on the other bad cos SO SEXY!)
I just wanna clarify something, which I apologise if it's a stupid question - but I want this to be future proof. I know there is talk of some variants of the HTC One with no LTE; firstly, is this even true? And secondly, if true, is the Three network version an LTE variant?

The phone supports LTE (4G) for the UK. In the US there is an alternative 4G technology like Sprint use, WiMAX. But Three won't have LTE till late this year. In the meantime you can use DC-HSDPA (dual channel HSDPA) which gets you close to those speeds anyway. Three have a good part of their networking supporting DC-HSDPA
Beauty is three will upgrade you to 4g for free and it will be unlimited data unlike the rest
I get 18mb at present with my note one which is 8gb faster than my broadband !
Three represent excellent value for money I've been with them since they started they have improved their call centre and I would never move to anyone else
Don't think about it do it
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Great! Exactly what I was expecting tbh, just wanted to check I wasn't being conned with a cheap variant
And yeah, their Ultrafast thing seems pretty cool until their 4G comes on, and one of my reasons for moving to them was that they said they won't charge more, and their all you can eat data!
EDIT - Query:
Weird query, for Three, their delivery estimate is end of April. So let's say 30th April. Now, I want to port my existing number from O2 - no problem, I know how to arrange all that.
So here is where I'm less sure. My current O2 contract ends on 27th April, i.e. just before I might get the new phone. So, will my PAC code remain valid after I go out of contract with O2? Will I have to keep with O2 and take out a pay and go or month to month just to hold onto the number?

presume your going for the black variant ? silver is available either now or in a week
have you checked coverage for 3 .. they cover 97% of the country just make sure your not in the 3 percent !
When they started years ago they were horrendous but they have got better and better .. you will have unlimited internet, no throttling and free 4g when it goes live .. I use around 9gb per month and it costs me £36 with all my other allowances ..

They certainly have the most competitive prices and value for money, but be 100% SURE you are not the 3%(I am) as it is a pain the the rear to cancel your contract and you will have some charges(ie minutes for calls etc). I must say that their customer service has been really good every time we called them. I am very close to an aerial (less than a mile), but because(I assume) I am on the ground floor, at a funny angle, I struggle to get a signal. I had no issues on Symbian phones(Nokias) however since the wife and I changed over to Android in 2010 I have never had the same signal(not blaming Android) just seems an odd coincidence. I wish they were ok as I really like the idea of no premium for 4G. Considering going with them anyway for the 4G later in the year.

The problem with Three is the lack of 2G fallback. 2G gets into those hard to reach places better than 3G. Three's coverage value of 97% is outdoor coverage. The reality on indoor is considerably worse. In terms of data deals, nothing comes close to Three's plans, but it will always suffer as the worst coverage network which is a real shame. For home use, Three do have their home signal box which gives you a perfect signal around your home but uses your broadband connection to do so. I use one.
So far we've been left in the dark as to the release day and price of the Note 4 but here is all the information that I have so far.
Pre-order Info:
Samsung Stores (Brick and Mortar) are doing a "pre-order" where you can either stop in or call and leave your information and which color of phone you want. When they get either a demo model or the actual phones to sell (my guess is the former), they'll contact you so you can have a look and secure your pre-order. My guess is that at this point they may require a deposit but I'm not 100% sure on that, neither was the person I spoke with.
Best Buy and Future Shop are also doing a pre-order where you have to put $50 down and you can save 20% off an accessory when the phone comes in. This is in store only. Scroll down a bit to see the advert, and it doesn't mention the $50 deposit online however it said that in the flyer.

Costco
I spoke with someone at Wireless Etc. which is located in Costco stores and he said that they had training on Oct. 7 for the Note 4 and that he presumed it would be an Oct. 17 launch day however nothing for the launch date had been confirmed.

Expansys.ca will ship "no later than Thursday" of you want to give them all your money. Apparently.
Don't
Before giving them 1000$+ be sure the model # is sm-n910w8 or else you will be very disappointed.
Expansys.ca
Ok, so I just confirmed that Expansys.ca ships the Exynos version.

You'd better double-check, maybe triple-check, because they told me it was Exynos first, then said:
"Jorge is incorrect. The SnapDragon model is the one that we will be receiving "
My confidence in them is quickly fading

Ok, just confirmed again, and it is the Exynos model they are getting - no Canadian LTE, so I'll be passing.
I don't understand why Samsung doesn't just sell unlocked phones. That would make things so much easier.

I know, I find it completely ridiculous that so many of us WANT to spend our money on their phones, but it's so god damn difficult. My brother wanted an iPhone 6, he got it no problem. Me? Wait several weeks after launch and still don't get a price or delivery date... then have to find loopholes to get an unlocked phone without selling my right arm in the process.
Yo, Sammy! I've got money, so let me spend it! :victory:
Well have you seen how the iphone 6 launch was rushed. All the iOS 8 problems and iphone 6 issues. Samsung want to keep those problems as minimal as possible. The wait is going to be worth it

I don't mind a wait, but we don't even know how long we'll be waiting or how much we'll have to spend in the end. It's a really poor business practice.

It sucks too because I am in the position where renewing on a 2 year contract and losing my amazingly cheap 6GB plan would cost me more in the long run then buying the phone out right.
So I will be buying mine in full (hopefully not outrageously priced).
I find it ridiculous that they don't allow us to buy an unlocked clean from carrier bloat version off their website, however there is way if you live in Vancouver lol. In the Metrotown mall there is our 1 and only Samsung store in Canada and you can get the phones from there and I believe they are unlocked but you half to walk in to get them >_<
However unlocking a carrier one isn't a big deal anymore, because of the new CRTC ruling the carriers half to give you unlock codes if you want them and its limited to a max price of $50, but you can simply go to one of those 3rd party cell unlocking sites and get the Samsung unlock codes for your phone for $30 which is what I've always done to unlock my phones from Bell.
What bothers me too is that some places won't even sell a no term Note 4. I understand with the iPhone that Apple bars the selling of no term phones for 3 months because they want customers to come directly to them. However with Samsung it's different as there are not nearly as many Samsung stores as Apple stores and no matter what you can't buy the phone unlocked from Samsung it had to be liked to a carrier. They need to offer the phone through their online store and retail stores unlocked, it's as simple as that. Whether they ever smarten is another story.
The same goes for their launches, take a page out of Apple's book and have everything ready and 2 weeks out at most after the initial release party. Also they need to have prices when they do the unveiling. For all of us here it will be delayed gratification as we're getting the phone we know we want. But what about the how many other people out there that didn't want to wait and are now owning a new 6+. They may have the (imo) inferior device but they also didn't give Samsung a dime. People want things now at least in North America and are not willing to wait.
What does everyone think the Note 4 will cost? Same price as last year? I can't think off hand if the dollar has changed much in they last year which would bump our costs up. American pricing seems the same as last year I believe so maybe $750?
So it looks like it's Oct. 17 for Canada http://mobilesyrup.com/2014/10/01/samsungs-galaxy-note-4-to-arrive-in-canada-on-october-17/
It's funny because I had just talked to 2 Telus stores, and one said either the 4th or 14th and the other said their was a dealer forum happening on the 9th so it would be just before our after that.
Still no pricing yet.

All the Canadian Note 4 firmware's have been released on Samsung's Kies firmware update servers, Sammobile has them downloaded already for anyone who wish to get them as well. This is good news for us as Samsung Canada has a habit of making sure the firmware's are pre-available close to a release date to make sure that things go smoothly and on the off chance something needs to be reinitialized the full firmware is there for repair/recovery.
So with this our version of the phone should be just around the corner ^_^ , lets hope for no delays!
i got tired of waiting and got myself the Exynos version. using on Bell now, loving it. Didnt even have to setup access point for data.

What model from what region did you get? Most likely though you do not have the LTE access with the imported phone or only 2600MHz band in select few citys which isn't very good.
got the 910U...says 4G...im finding it way faster than my G3 that was on LTE???

Often outside of North America a lot of phones firmware's will use the term 4G for H+ (because of a technicality) and then for LTE they will show it as 4GLTE or just LTE.
You should be able to find more information on what the phone is using in the About section.
Thats not the case. It switches between 4G and H+. I use slingplayer everynight on my commute home. There is always minimum 4 spots where the video cuts out for at least 30 seconds each time. Tonight, my first with this device, never happened once. Also the clarity of the pictures and colour was bar far better than any other device ive used. My last 3 devices were Note 3, Z2 and LG G 3. Suggest somewhere for me to do a speed test and ill post results tomorrow.
Hope this info helps people.

$799 CAD Buyout not bad, glad it didn't explode past that point.
They also revealed that the official launch date is the 24th when you mouse over the Order button.
I think it is on sale for 49.99 on T mobile website now
could that price attract more people to develop for this phone?

Yes it is. I don't know if this will attract many more people to the device though. That would be nice to have more devlopment.

Same here. This phone is amazing, totally worth $150, but even more awesome for $50.
I just got done flashing back to 10c firmware and I'm trying to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery. Looking for a stock ROM without all the bloat - CM11 sounds awesome but it looks like there are still a few issues (no video recording/playback and camera not taking pretty pictures - though I have to read and see if any of that has been fixed).
Well that was fun.
Just got back from a local Best Buy here in Las Vegas, I called ahead of time to check stock and to verify their "Price Match Guarantee" thing - I could have just ordered it from T-Mobile's website but, why wait a week for it to ship if I can get it tonight, right?
So, on the phone they try and blow me off constantly: the first girl I spoke with said they wouldn't price match, the second said they wouldn't price match if it's not in stock, then I got someone to ask the Manager (who would not speak with me on the phone, oddly enough) and he said they wouldn't honor the Price Match Guarantee on any cellular phone even in spite of that being totally inaccurate. I finished the call by saying "You'll honor it when I get there..." and then promptly ended the call.
Go to the store a half hour later, get the second phone from the shelf - the first one the girl handed me didn't even have a phone in the box, oops... - and then went to Customer Service and asked for the Manager, who came out from the back area and wondered just what I wanted (it was like 5 mins to closing time).
I said I need to price match the LG L90 with T-Mobile's current full retail pricing online at $49.99 and then he basically went into full damage control mode and did like 15 rebuttals to me about why they couldn't/shouldn't/wouldn't match the price: he whipped out his smartphone and started doing research, checked the T-Mobile site but kept hitting the "Add to cart" button before the page even loaded and I kept saying "You have to let the page load first so you can see the actual price."
He just kept at it for nearly 10 mins trying to show me it required activation - I replied "Nope, it's the full retail price at $49.99 and they are offering you the SIM activation kit for another $15 (which is crazy since the L90 comes with a brand new unactivated SIM in the box, I mean really). He kept sticking to his story that it required you to activate it and I kept saying "No, you're wrong there because it's a prepaid device and if it was in stock in the stores I could get it and not deal with any of that and activate it at home when I wanted." He jumped on the "not in stock" thing and I said no, they're out of stock in the local stores here (which they are when I called to ask) but this is an online price for an online retailer and he knew I wasn't going to back down.
I said "Look, there's two outcomes here: 1) you sell me the price matched smartphone and I leave a happy customer and continue doing business with Best Buy in the future, or 2) you don't honor your own policy for the Price Match Guarantee, I leave pissed off, angry, and frustrated, I go home and order it from T-Mobile online for the same price, you lose a customer forever, and then I hand-write (not email) a nice detailed letter to the Vice-President for Customer Relations at Best Buy Corporate about my experience here where I'm 100% in the right and within 48 hours of his Executive Assistant getting the letter I'll get a phone call, an apology, and at least a $50 Best Buy Gift Card for the hassle you ended up causing me tonight."
He didn't like that very much, nor do I think he likes me either but, for a change this customer actually was right.
So I got the phone for the $49.99+tax as I expected when I walked in, proof below...
Tips if you want 'em:
- Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee states that in order for the price match to be available, the actual web page at Best Buy's website must say "PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE" on the page just above the price - the LG L90 does say that so, that's one
- If you read deeper into the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee guidelines there's a disclaimer about contract cell phones - they are excluded from the price match guarantee directly - and I made it clear that I knew this and that this is not a contract phone, it's a prepaid phone - that's two
So the Manager had no actual ground to stand on and was left with no choice but to honor the Price Match Guarantee as written on their website and also on a flyer in their stores (you have to ask to see it, actually, they don't post it for their own silly reasons).
Anyway, just earlier tonight I was looking at craigslist for an L90 believe it or not and decided to check in here for info about any updates, root, bootloader unlocking, etc, and lo and behold I caught this thread so, thank you for sharing the information, OP...
So far I like it overall. Coming from a G2 it's a bit of a letdown of course but, after some tweaking and other playing around I'm sure I'll like it even more.

I am surprisingly happy with this phone. I thought it would be a big step back from my galaxy s4 but I am pretty happy with it. My s4 had sim card issues.
My biggest complaint is that it is not 4g LTE.

I'm with you. I shelved my G3 for the past couple of weeks.

I think the cheaper price point will bring more users, probably not many more people developing. Either way good price for the phone.
I believe the only negative impact would end up falling on LG as opposed to T-Mo as LG has allowed T-Mobile to cripple the device with the 10e firmware update. Be forewarned, if you get it now, it'll have that firmware pre-installed and it's a fuss to get it rolled back to 10c to root and then another pain to be able to access a recovery.
I able to get this phone from my work. (Big retail box chain in US. Guess what? They price match!) I liked around the specs for this and was pleasantly surprised about the performance for the price. I walked out with the phone for under $100 and am happy with this device. Always Always look at competitor pricing and find a place that can give you guarantees. Sorry about that terrible experience @br0adband!
Regardless this is a great phone with great specs at a great price, MSRP or not. I might even learn a thing and try my own mods if it isn't rocket science!
