X Performance Dual DEAD!! Help Please!! - Sony Xperia X Performance Questions & Answers

So I have an X Performance Dual, today as I woke up in the morning I used my phone a while, I then went for a run I leave the phone unplugged and when I came back the phone wasn't turning on I managed to turn it off using the power button + Volume up key, after that it booted to the Xperia screen after that it turned off by itself and now is now charging, not being recognized by the pc on flash mode nor fastboot mode. what can I do?

HI
I have the same. Bootloader unlocked. Upgrading XZ rom and now not woring hopefully I can reset somewhere but no led/usb signals at the moment... Hopefully power will trigger a reset deep in the hardware....

press power button and hold volume up button same time for several seconds. You will feel it vibrate 3 consecutive times. This is a sort of reset with does not delete anything. It just seems to fix boot issues. Try it and see if this helps..

My moto g (2014) wont power on.

I was checking my whatsapp today and all of a sudden the screen went blank. The power and volume button didnt respond. I then tried a soft reset by holding the power and volume up keys together. I did get upto the motorola logo during power on, then the screen turns off and then turns on again with the moto logo. This happened time and again. I then tried a hard reset using the recovery by pressing the power and volume down. I then pressed factory thinking a factory reset would help, again the screen turned off and i got a blinking led for a few minutes. Now i am a working professional and dont find time to take it to the service centre. Was wondering if any of you could be of help. Thanks.

Xperia Z... freeze and brick?

Hey there,
So today I was using my Xperia Z aaaand bam, phone "died".
Battery was at that time 70%, phone was a little bit hot, but in scale of 1 to 10 it was like 6. I had not problems previously with it (besides broken screen that got replaced 3 weeks ago). I was playing a game then suddenly it got closed and my screen got shifted. Like Animation of horizontal menu stucked while going to vertical. I pressed power button many times, I've keept holding it for a short time, long time... nothing. Phone did not respond at all. After 10 minutes it went black. No idea if it went "sleep" or so since power button do not work again.
I tried to reset it with Power + Volume down, Power + Volume up and again, nothing.
I've tried factory reset with Sony Companion but no luck either. Phone is NOT detected by that program.
However, when I plug the phone to PC I hear sound that some device has been found. Phone is presented now as QHSUSB_DLOAD in device manager. I've heard that not a good sign...
When I plug it to PC or Charger nothing happens so I have no idea if phone is getting charged or not.
What even more confusing, when I press power button - nothing, phone is COLD. But when I press Power + Volume down after a while it starts to get warm, after a long time of repeating this really warm.
Any ideas what could I do?
Thanks!

You phone has locked or unlocked bootloader? If unlocked, give a try to enter Fastboot mode and flash any custom ROM

Can you phone enter flashmode ? Does any LED indicator shows up when holding Volume +/- whilst connecting cable in PC (USB)?

HTC One will not stop rebooting

Hi all,
Recently my HTC One would randomly have a pop-up that said something along the lines of "To reboot, press and hold the power button" along with a countdown and then the phone will reboot itself. This can happen any time, sometimes multiple times within a half hour, even when it is charging.
The last time it happened, it rebooted, got to the blank black screen, and rebooted again. I've plugged it in to charge but it would not stop rebooting. I've unplugged it to let it run out of battery so hopefully it would stop rebooting itself and I can try charging it again. Once it ran out of juice, I charged it and it continued rebooting itself. Pressing the power + volume keys only worked twice but the screen wouldn't stay long enough for me to select fast reboot or factory reset before rebooting itself again. Now pressing power + volume keys doesn't cause any effect on the phone.
I've never tempered with any of the software settings on my phone and it has been sent for repair three times last year. Also, my laptop does not recognise the phone when I plug it to my laptop.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Normally you get this message when holding the power button. So this message in addition to the rebooting issues makes me believe you have an hardware problem with your power button, maybe its stuck?

I tried pressing on the power button, it seems to be depressing fine. Is there any way I can affirm this?

I think what you explained at post #1 is enough to conclude your power button or something hardware related to it is the problem. I think you'll have to send your device for repair unfortunately unless you want to open the phone yourself to have a look which is not always good idea.

No responding M7

Hi all,
This morning i check if my bootloader was unlocked, because i wan't to give it a try to root it.
I found out it was unlocked (holding down volume and press the power button)
After that, i rebooted my phone and everything worked normal.
Until a couple of hours later, my screen didn't wake up when i pushed the power button.
The homebutton and the backbutton where flickering (going on and off)
So, i waited for a couple of minutes, but nothing changed.
After (i think) 10 minutes, i hold the power button for a couple of seconds and the flickering buttons stopped.
Since then my phone doesn't repsond anymore. I tried the powerbutton for a while, and with the combination of holding the vol. up and down.
So far nothing helped.
Does anyone know what's wrong, and what i can do to wake my phone from its coma?
Thanks in advance!
Enjoy your weekend. Ben
Did you press the power button for a few second before the soft keys started going on and off? Does your phone show a green battery animation when you connect it to a charger?
If the soft keys started flashing on their own, and if your phone doesn't show any signs of life even when you attempt to charge it, I'm afraid this is a hardware problem which no one can fix online.
let's wait and see what more experienced members have to say.

Device turned of during software update and not at all turning on, no indications

Hi All,
I'm using Xiaomi Mi5 since last 3 years and it was going very well till today morning. I have got a notification for software update three days back but as I was busy kept it waiting and finally today morning after charging the phone to almost 85% I started the software update.
As usual after downloading the update phone got restarted and the update was in progress, was going on for almost like 10 minutes but don't know what happened, suddenly the screen got turned off and not turning on again.
I tried switching it on but no response at all not even a LED is blinking. So I tried googling a solution and tried holding the Volume up button and power button for 30 seconds and leaving the power button which should actually show some options but there isn't any response at all...!!
Any other way to get my phone back to do on my own

have you charged your phone already? try to get into "fastboot mode" complete power of your phone first. also not charging. press and hold power and volume down button for about 30 seconds. if you are in fastboot mode you can flash what ever you want if you unlocked your bootloader.

Try disconnecting and then connecting your battery cable(inside the phone). You're going to need to open the phone to do this, but its fairly simple. You only need a suction cup and a screwdriver. You will void the warranty if you do this, though. There is a sticker protected screw. My Mi5 died two times so far and this is how I fixed your same issue each time. Good luck!
