Secret menus not working - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Tab S2 SM-T815. I cannot access any of the secret/diagnostic menus.
None of these work:
*#06#
*#0011#
*#1234#
*#*#4636#*#*
These were not working on my device out of the box so i tried flashing a couple of different firmware from different countries.
Also tried a permissive kernel, custom recovery (teamwin) but nothing seems to work.
Presently I have Nougat running on the Tab (flashed using Odin - screen shot attached).
I bought the device off amazon in the U.S. but I am using it in India. I want to access these menus so I can change the LTE radio band.
Can someone please help out if you have an idea how to access these menus on the SM-T815 or if you know of another way to change the LTE radio bands.

[Q] Vibrant I9000M, No Service??

Hi,
My i9000m wont connect to any network,
ive tried everything, reflashed to stock, the 850mhz fix, everything, but still no service...
Doesnt work on rogers, fido, or telus sim. Have unlocked multiple times.
Fido and telus dont show anything but with the rogers sim it says i have a voicemail, and also says rogers in the pull down bar, but says not registered on network when i try making a call.
Any ideas?
anyone have any ideas?
no one? :/
sounds like its blacklisted
had the same problem just flash back to stock JH2 (PDA, CSC, and MODEM) or get three in one... than go to *#*#4636#*#* go to phone info change from GSM/CDMA auto to WCDMA preffered (on Bell mobility). Works like a charm
thanks, will try and post back

ZR does not get coverage in WCDMA mode.

I'm looking for a solution to ultra frustrating problem I encountered after performing OTA lollipop upgrade from kitkat. My network coverage gone after lollipop upgrade, I can't make calls or send messages. While I played with settings i found that with in Preferred network type there are three options as below.
WCDMA Only
GSM only
WCDMA (preferred)/GSM {Default option}
It was set to 3rd option. When I changed to GSM only option my calls and sms started to work flawlessly but as you all aware Internet was on 2G(Edge). To get HSPA working as far as I know I have to use WCDMA in xperia phones (Not to be confused with CDMA). When ever I switch to WCDMA my coverage goes off.. I can't make calls. So i end up using the phone in GSM only mode and made a thread in official xperia site as below. I also tried repairing using PC companion and resetting the phone no avail.
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/xperia-zr-c5502-does-not-support-WCDMA-after-lollipop/td-p/1001920
As you can see one person with the ranking of moderator acknoledged the issue and suggested me to revert it back to Kit kat until the fix has been made. I tried flashing using flashtool still problem exist. Even in old kit kat firmware which i was using it for long time with out any issues. I think some thing has happend to my mobile after lollipop upgrade.
Yesterday I unlocked the boot loader and flashed Cynogenmod 11 as well.. Again same problem. WCDMA does not work thus no 3G. Now I'm using Sony official lollipop firmware by flashing via flashtool.. I ended up using my phone in GSM only mode (Edge).
Any suggestions? Ideas?
I would try downloading stock LP ftf file with XperiFirm, then using Flashtool and try flashing only baseband. Not sure if it would work if you install a KK baseband, i would stick only to LP files in the meantime.
There is also another option to force select the bands, just dial *#*#4636#*#*, go to "Phone Information", and on the preferred Network type, choose "WCDMA Preferred". Wait 5-10 minutes, it might take a while for the carrier to recapture phone signal.
If that doesn't work, you might want to check if somehow the bands were locked with the LP install. There is an excellent guide on how to unlock bands, i tried with my SO-04E (japanese C5503) and i was able to unlock some of them, as not all carriers on my country were recognizng HSPA, and were recognizing only EDGE.

No network with MM

Hi guys,
I am currently on custom rom Infinity F2 and trying to upgrade to stock MM my note 5 duo 9200.
After i flash the stock firmware and boot properly, i have the following issue:
Although i see both signals on status bar, the phone says it is not registered on network. Moreover the menu networks is missing from the list of menus in order to try and register manually.
In the about the phone menu, the imei of both sim cards are displayed, however the network is unknown.
I tried switching the network modes from auto 4g to other options with no luck. Multiple restarts didn't help as well. Really can't figure out what is the issue.
P.s. tried to install the stock firmware by flashing it directly over the custom rom from odin and also after wiping everything except the internal storage. Same results.

Nexus 6 - T-Mobile - Not connecting to LTE

I just got my wife a Nexus 6 from Craigslist. I foolishly didn't 100% test the phone and I think I got a lemon or something.
Her phone has never connected to LTE. I've tried manually changing APNs, swapping SIM cards with my phone to see if the card is bad, checking the phone settings by dialing *#*#4636#*#*, etc... And everything is identical to my Nexus 6 with no luck. I went to a T-Mobile store just now and they couldn't figure anything out.
Two questions:
1. Is there anything else I can do to get LTE activated?
2. Can an LTE radio be damaged or disabled somehow?
I'm at my wit's end here... I'm hoping y'all can help me get it fixed.
Thanks!
1st is the phone running stock or a custom rom? .second try to reset your apn setting to default and using the setting that the phone provides in apn
It is stock, no customization or rooting.
I'll try the default when my wife gets back from the store and report back.
Reset APN to default settings, no luck.
The previous owner was on a smaller carrier, like a Metro PCS or something similar... Can't remember, but I don't know if their settings are different than T-Mobile's.
Yes their settings are diff... metro is fast.metropcs.com for apn inside and tmobile is fast.t-mobile.com. You can try clicking the apn make sure its fast.t-mobile.com and check the ipv and set to ipv6 and ipv4 for roaming. Then at the very bottom under MVNO select None. Then restart phone. If your still not pulling up data you may want to push a radio image to the device possibly and maybe the radio firmware is screwed up since your not original owner of the device.
All the APN settings are correct and identical to my working Nexus 6.
Are there tutorials on how to push a radio image and where to get said radio image?
https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-update-nexus-5-bootloader-and-radio - Nexus 5 instructions but they are the same just download nexus 6 files instead from here
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/shamu-mob30i-factory-21357b09.tgz - MOB30I Latest Marshmallow files...
When you follow that guide you could just flash-all command it and flash marshmallow stock in its entirety... it would flash latest bootloader and modem with it or you can extract the modem and bootloader files from the file and follow the guide. If you dont care whats on device you may want to just flash the whole thing and skip the extracting the modem and bootloader parts.
**Obviously since you'd be replacing the nexus 5 files with 6 files aka shamu instead of hammerhead change the names in the commands you type in fastboot. Just a reminder.
Thanks so much for the help!
I'll try this later and let you know if it works.

Enter into the bootloader and check the Product/Variant information within. For the US, it should read "shamu XT1103" followed by the memory size and a hexadecimal string. If it reads "shamu XT1100", you have the international model, which would explain the trouble you're having. Another possible explanation, especially if the model is "shamu XT1103", is that the device is blocked on T-Mobile.
To answer your questions:
1. If you have an international model, you may be able to activate the missing bands necessary to support LTE here in the US. Otherwise, flash the latest ROM from Google, as there are settings in the services menu you accessed which once selected cannot be changed unless a new ROM image is flashed.
2. LTE radios can both be damaged and disabled. The LTE could be disabled in the service menu, or the hardware is damaged.

I have same problem. I have XT1100 on T-Mobile, but I can only use 3G. How to see which LTE bands on this devices are activated?
If you have an XT1100 in the US you're missing bands 2, 4, 12 and 17. Of those, bands 2 and 4 are the most important as AT&T and T-Mobile both use those bands extensively. And unlike the US model, Verizon and Sprint won't work at all. Search the General forum, as there is a thread on how to add bands to the radio. Be warned however. When I attempted it on my Galaxy S4 I nearly bricked the device.
Also (and I know its basic) but check under settings ---> mobile ---> preferred network type and make sure it says LTE (just on the off chance it was switched somehow)

No GSM bands available in *#*#4636#*#* after flashing, no gsm connection

Hello there, after flashing a new ROM onto my phone as a result of it stuck in a boot loop at the animation, where no wiping would resolve the problem. I am now having a problem with my 3G/LTE/internet connectivity being unavailable. When I dial the test number, and try to select GSM band, no bands are available, I have tried flashing multiple ROMs, but none fixed the problem.
Calls/SMS works fine, Wifi also works as it should.
I am currently on Xperience Rom 6.0.1
Please help!
Kind regards
