NEM L-51 dump anyone? - Honor 5C Questions & Answers

Hey, I screwed up my device while playing around Meticulus' ROMS, and I would like to go back to stock since I switched to a Nexus 5X now.
Is there anyone who can provide me a dump on the system or something?
I tried the UPDATE.APP solution but with no success...
Thanks by advance !

[Q] Nexus One, Return to stock 2.2 after trying 2.3.3

After the initial jubilation of finally getting Gingerbread on my stock Nexus one, I have come to the conclusion that its a little half baked and setting aside all the little annoyances, the current battery life bug that seems to be affecting some people (myself included) is just terrible.
So my question is, how to I get back to stock 2.2 (or 2.2.2) now that I have 2.3.3 installed.
I don't want to root, or open the boot loader or do anything to invalidate the warranty. Is there a way ?
Thanks, and sorry if this has already been covered somewhere else (could not find it)

Worked for lots of people, don't know if it works for 2.3, it worked for 2.2.
So.. ya might just wanna keep an open mind.
Anyway, some of the links on the page are dead, you might need to dig around for what you need.
Google is your friend

I tried this also (just to see for myself, instead of listening to the rumors), and can confirm it works.
The only comment I would make is that the filename is NOT case sensitive (I got it to work as PASSIMG.zip, passimg.zip, and also combinations like PassImG.zip)

Passimg method is working? Nice find! I imagine this will be of great help to many people.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help, I will give it a go.
In terms of the most recent version that I can go back to, I assume it has to be a manufacturer shipment ROM or full system image.
The latest release on shipped roms is FRG33 http shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Passion%20(Nexus%20One
I found on the HTC developers site (http developer.htc.com/) FRG83 but the link seems to be broken http dl4.htc.com/RomCode/Source_and_Binaries/signed-passion-img-FRG83_0923.zip
Assuming I can find a copy of FRG83 system image, am I correct in assuming I can also rename this to passimg.zip and downgrade or does it have to be the FRG33 manufacture shipped rom?
ps, sorry i cant post url links hence the http
If it's a shipped image, then yes.
If you look in the zip, and see a bunch of image files, instead of a folder structure, then it will probably work...
Let me know if you find FRG83.
I know someone who would LOVE to find it!

Hi,
I know this question may sound stupid but I have this doubt and I would like to understand better one thing:
Can someone please explain me why it's not possible to restore 2.2 from 2.3.3 using directly a nandroid restore skipping the PASSIMG.zip part?
I'm new to this and I'm still learning some things, but if the nandroid is a backup of the entire system, why can't I just wipe out everything and restore from that file?
Thank you so much for your help!
If you have nandroid - great.
If you flashed stock image - you don't have it anymore, because stock image overwrites your custom recovery, and without unlocked bootloader or option to root, there is no way to restore it.
Thank you so much for the reply
So, just to be sure: since my bootloader is unlocked this means that if I wipe everything, then I can flash a custom recovery and then restore from a nandroid backup without having to flash first another stock ROM and root again, right?
That is correct.
However, keep in mind that rebooting your phone when you soil have the stock ROM will cause the stock recovery to be restored, so as soon as you install your custom recovery, you need to boot into recovery without rebooting the phone...

The dowload link include in the link above for the ROM is not working. I am getting this error message: "Unable to open shipped/Passion (Nexus One/"
efrant: Can you please update the link?
Thank you!

Wiped System Files - Bootloader & TWRP OK - Help!

Hello,
I accidentally wiped everything in TWRP, including system files. So, now all I get is the unlocked bootloader screen. I can still access fastboot and I can still access TWRP, but I am having major issues getting a stock set of files loaded so I can start over from scratch. If anyone can please help me out, I would really appreciate it.
I tried using the Moto X toolkit and using the restore method, but it did not work. I also tried pushing a file to /sdcard/ via the same program and apparently that did not work either cause TWRP cannot see it.
I am in over my head here, so any help would be appreciated. I never had half of these issues on my N7 2013.
For the record, its a XT1060 with an unlocked bootloader. Thanks in advance.
I would suggest trying this. Should get you to the latest stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2827307

Help returning to stock/unroot

Hello! Its been a while since I've done this and I am looking for some help. I am on android 4.4.2, rooted and running FirekatDeodex19N4. I am looking to unroot and return completely to stock. I do not have any backups. They were on a SD card that was lost. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!
So from the little I have been able to find, it looks like all the original files are no longer hosted anywhere? :/ I know a lot of people probably dont use this old phone anymore but I really need to get it back to stock and unrooted. Is this even possible or am I screwed?
Will someone please help me? I have searched and searched and everytime I think I have figured it out, its outdated or the files arent available or the comments say it didnt work. I would greatly appreciate some help here.

Downgrade S2 T813 to MM?

Howdy, folks. I just picked up an S2 and though it was supposed to ship with MM, either it's a refurb and the store is selling it as new, or the factory upgraded the ROM and the ad copy didn't match with the software version.
I specifically want MM so I can run Xposed and Xprivacy.
Can anyone point me to a way to get ahold of the OEM Samsung equivalent of an RUU so I can get back to MM on this device?
Thanks in advance!
Wow. I figured you Sammy guys would be all over this.
I'm looking for the factory stock MM ROM for a T813NZKSXAR. Can someone point the way? Sorry, but I'm new to Samsung devices, so I'm not up to speed on all the resources and I'm not finding anything that seems right either here at XDA or on a web search.
Could really use some help, here...
Thanks!

Head over to updato.com
Thanks for that. I'm still getting my head around all of this.
So, I actually did download that file, but wasn't sure if it was safe. I went ahead and flashed the MM firmware with Odin3.12.3, but I seem to be having some trouble applying TWRP.
I'm using twrp-3.2.0-0-gts210vewifi.img, but when done flashing in Odin, I can't seem to figure out the sequence to catch the machine before it boots back into the OS. Either that, or I have the wrong TWRP image, or something. I just can't seem to catch it right.
Any help would be appreciated.
Ok, got it sorted. Managed to get TWRP installed, but having trouble flashing Xposed. I'm using xposed-v88.2-sdk23-arm64 but as it flashes, there's an error saying that it can't write to the data partition, and on reboot, the Samsung name just keeps pulsing and the machine never gets to the OS. At least, not for about ten or fifteen minutes, which is the longest I waited.
Thanks again in advance for your help!

Not really sure where to go from here...Help me please!

Hi everyone,
Apologies for my 2nd post of the evening but I'm really struggling to get my head around how to get my phone back to a usable standard with comparable workability to the stock.
Long story short, my P9 is currently using a build of the MIUI 8, which isn't recognizing my UK O2 sim nor will it let me open any settings regarding networks. I'd like to move over to another ROM but the problem really is that I don't really know how too.
I've tried to install several ROMS from these forums but none of them have been working at all.
I've done everything through the ADB controls and unfortunately, due to being a bit of a noob i didn't back up my stock EMUI (really wish i could go back to that now!).
I've tried to install various builds of the CM13.0 & Others to no avail and I feel more or less like I'm stuck on the MIUI8. - which I only managed to retrieve after a few hours of having absolutely no ROM at all on my device.
Is there a ROM that people would recommend as being stable and noob friendly in regards to installation?
My device is the EVA L09 which was running Marshmellow EMUI 4.1.1 under the stock ROM (not sure if that matters at all).
I also made all the changes with the twrp-3.0.2-0-eva.img and SuperSU v2.82
So basically what I'm looking for is help in getting my phone back to being a phone! please help!
If you've read through all this thank you ever so much and hopefully you'll be able to help me out!
EDIT: Is it easier to remove all ROMs and start again from scratch?

I gave it ago, but it ended by putting my phone into a boot loop and TWRP no longer finds my device, no idea what to do now!
Try to put a custom firmware. You can use adb and install custom recovery. From there download a custom firmware and check it out. Other way is to use a rollback firmware and then update to the latest firmware. Check forums for more details
