where is the full threads list for all phones? - Off-topic

where is the full threads list for all phones? i am not able to find it.
On other forums where is always a folder, subfolder system.... but in this site i always see shortcuts for the most known terminals, but i cannot find the COMPLETE LIST of each phone's thread

Are you looking for any specific brand?

no. i just would see a list of phones which deserved having an xda thread

sorry but i need a response
it is IMPOSSIBLE that on this site isn't possible to see a full list of official threads about every phone.
for example, i have redmi note 3 pro and i MUST find the room googling it........................ i would see a list of all rooms available of every phone.

Why tho?
I'd rather hit the SEARCH Button and type whatever the phone / Topics I want and go through the specific device sections.
It's easy you know, you need not to Google for every device, just hit the search button and type the device name, it'll show up the results, then go through em'....
If you want all device's official threads in an xda thread, then it's impossible!! Impossibru!!
There are 10000xxxxxx Amount of threads here! :silly:

This is the list of all devices on xda with their own section, https://forum.xda-developers.com/all
As far as a list of all threads, there are 3,098,531 threads on xda as of right now. If you would like to create a list of all those threads, you are welcome to. As I said in your other thread about this, members create the content on xda, so you can create a list if you wish! :good:
Or just a list of all roms for all devices, that would probably only be around 500,000 threads. You could create that too.
Thread closed now, as it's been answered fully.

a suggestion re postings

hi to all
im completely new to the whole pda game, and have recently purchased my vario.
i have spent the last few weeks plodding around the forum, gaining hints and tips - just feeling myself around to understand the capabilities of my ppc.
its great to see so many dedicated people sharing information and helping one another - a real credit, and to the site as a whole, a complete wealth of valuable information. thanks to all involved!!
after my experience here so far, i have a small suggestion that may help everyone, especially other beginners find vital posts, or should i say specific posts within threads.
its very easy for threads to become huge due to thanks yous and suggestions, etc. (they can also stray way off path). obviously these are fantastic and move threads forward, but i was thinking that it would be really great, and save loads of time, if posts where an author, say, releases a tweak/hack or unlocker, has one main thread which they use to release. this thread is locked to replies, but a link is added to another reply thread, where other members can add their comments and suggestions, etc. the author could reply to individuals on this sub-thread, but post important comments and updated releases on the main thread.
thus anyone wanting to either view the history of an item, or just simply download the newest version of a hack could do so without the hassle of searching through say 30 pages.
this would also allow those who want to read the 'other member' comments do so.
obviously the sub thread would link up to the main thread...
i dont want to step on toes, but hopefully other members would agree and some new posts could start this way to see how it goes.
comments, remarks wellcome...
regards
dan
Well I think your idea is a good one in many ways but as updates come about comments and tips also come about and if they are all in order with the updates it does help with it as sometimes the author/developer of the a hack or tweak doesn't always get the instructions perfect and the experience of the other members as they try it and find a better way of using it or installing it helps and if you have them all in the same place and without the need of searching through another forum to find the right part of the page that corresponds with the current version. I think it would almost need to be put into portions. Example for the original hack has a forum then the next version has a forum and then it would keep it in order. What do you think??
as an alternative, a listing of the post # and date announcing the new release by the version number and content listing on the original post of a thread, or the "locked" thread suggested in this thread.
funkydan: I think it would make a lot of sense. I'll try to remember, but it can be hard to enforce. Good policy though.

One thought is if when you select New Thread you are given two options one for general threads and the other if you are wanting to post a piece of software etc and if they are wanting to post a normal thread they get taken to the normal thread creator but if they want to post a piece of software etc they are taken to a template where the enter in the info and then automatically another thread is created within that thread for other users to post. What do you think?

Hi, fellow S4 Active users
Before starting a new thread, please read this OP.
Now as you may have noticed there are several questions flooding this sub-forum,
that have been asked a million times,
So let us all be a responsible "NEW USER" and not a "NOOB USER"
I know some of us are new and are not oriented properly on how you can maximize your time by using the almighty search button.
SEARCH BUTTON!!???
Yes, that is correct, the search button...
.
.
No, it is not sorcery or magic,
It is a tool to help everyone out, that is the reason why XDA has spent money making a search engine for us to be more convenient in finding what we seek.
So let us not neglect what XDA has made and let's utilize this search engine,
it is not a benefit, it is a privilege,
For those who don't know how to use it, let me help you.[IMAGE PENDING]
It is that highlighted spot, yeah, right there. Hey look, yup you found it in your own browser.
So, tell me the benefits of this so called 'search button' ? I mean, I can just create a new thread and wait for someone to answer it!
Well,
You can find the answer to your questions faster, since not all senior members, RC's are available all the time and some won't even answer you because it has already been asked again.
You'll help other newbies by orienting them about the search button.
We'll have a clean and uniform forum, a perfect community which all of us can enjoy.
Mods will have less headaches deleting posts and threads that are considered useless.
No one will call you noob. (YAY!)
It will reduce arguments and flaming within the thread.
SO LETS KEEP THIS FORUM PROFESSIONAL,
UTILIZE THE SEARCH BUTTON
Forum basics:

HOW TO MAKE A GOOD QUESTION...
Stupid as it may seem,
There is a good and bad question.
So, here are some tips.
NEVER EVER PANIC!
i know some of us are new and have no experience with android, and suddenly we did something wrong and ended up bricking our phone.
But please don't post:
"Please help my phone is brick, Im desperate!!!!, help me please, i dont know what to do!!!" (Dont ever do this!)
Do so, but do it in a proper manner:
Make sure you write every detail (about what you did before doing something wrong) and your phone bricked.
"Please help me, I tried to flash XYZ rom and when i tried to install it using recovery mode by Vol Up+Home+Power i get a successful install message, however when i turned on my phone it got stuck on bootloop, can u help me with this?, i tried download mode Vol Down+Home+Power and tried odin too but it does not work"
LIST OF ALREADY ASKED POINTLESS QUESTIONS
What is the best ROM?
What is the best kernel?
What is the best launcher?
What is the best apps for xxx?
Basically these are all dependent on the nature of the user, there is no best ROM, kernel, launcher, app since we all have our own preferences so its endlessly pointless to even make or ask threads.
How to get paid apps?
Paid Apps for Free are known as warez and you can't get it on XDA.
When will ROM/KERNEL XYZ be released?
Any rom/kernel release question should go to the development thread, also its rude to ask for ETA's (estimated time of arrival)
I saw that CM ** is released on XYZ is please make it work
NO, please look at the development thread to get into the real condition of CM ports, if its not here, its not real
X Rom vs. Y Rom
Same reason as asking what is the best ROM, its really up to the user preference
I RECOMMEND ALL NEW USERS TO WATCH THIS
(NOBODY'S A NOOB OK?) ITS JUST FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES

Support me reorganising this forum

With the growing popularity of the Samsung Galaxy Gear, this forum has become totally disorganised and if like me you are trying to find a particular topic by scanning the 58+ pages you'll know it's all got a bit frustrating! Yes you can use search but that's no good for browsing a particular category of discussion.
A moderator here helpfully suggested I post a request on the webmaster's 'New Device Forum' asking for sub divisions as seen on other device forums.
Please help to get this done by adding a "+1" to my request found here:

Thanks

Moderation Thread - What to move where?

Hi together!
I would like to offer you a good method of helping:
dsa suggested to leave sorting out the topics to the community so this is your chance.
When you want me to move a topic out of the originating big thread just list the posts to move here and give a appropriate topic.
It's not a good point to just start a topic and link the old posts in my opinion. If ultimately necessary we could move posts out and copy them back. That would have advantage that old links lead to new topics but the posts are still in the old thread if someone wants to read the flow. So if you think it's ultimately needed to leave those copys in the old thread note that along with your request.
I think threads should be moved out into separate threads AND kept in the old thread. But it will be a LOT of work reading through the entire old thread and separating out all the subjects that have been covered, like WEEKS of work, maybe months.
Maybe we should all work together on a list of the subjects to separate from the old thread and post them all here ?
I can think of a few topics off hand :
Mic mods (maybe separate threads for each manufacturer as they differ slightly
MCU flashing
DSA's TT mod
Adding powered USB hub
Maybe its also a good idea to post in the old thread about any new threads that have been opened elsewhere in the MTCB Headunits forums, so as many people as possible are aware of them ?
I would love when people who think we should split out info from the old thread would list the posts here then I cna split them out and merge a copy back.
(Why so complicated? When splitting out the link will direct to the new topic and when copying back the information will be also in the old thread but the old links will still point to the newly created thread)
I stopped splitting out on my own behalf because some people complained they don't like being OP of such threads.

Yes, I think I know who some of those people are, cant see a problem with it really, its the best way as the old thread is kept but its useful to have them separated out and no one can force an OP to do anything, they can just ignore messages etc if they want.

928v rooting

has anyone yet found a way to root the verizon 928v edge plus?
There’s always been a way to root, bigger question would be unlock the bootloader?
More importantly though, please make sure you start your thread in the appropriate subforum. If you’re unsure then take a quick peek at other threads in that forum, see if yours is similar to others. For example, the first page in this sub-forum all threads are roms kernels, recoveries and couple tutorials, oh and your one question. There’s actually a whole subforum dedicated to just questions & help or something like that.. If you look around on the first page, you’ll notice nearly all are questions, yours would fit right in there. But even better, you’d see someone previously asked that same question but theirs has answers already.
If one day you needed a rom you’d look in Development, hopefully it wouldn’t need to shuffle thru all the questions others posted there.
Take a peek at other S6 E+ subforums so it’ll heip you navigate thru here better.
Have fun
