Hi to all.
Dear friends i bought xiaomi mi 5 last week and after that i can't connect to lte networks with it. I'm using my previous simcard which connects to lte networks on my old LG G2 D802 perfectly.
Even when i search for networks manually device finds lte/4G networks but after i select the network there's no signal and i have "emergency calls only" on notification bar

Mi 5 does not support 4G band 800 (B20) and probably your carrier uses the 800 MHz band.

Device finds the 4G network. If it doesn't support that band so why it found the signal?

Hello,
may be it's not on the right section.
I've a problem with my operator ATM, it 's hard to have a good quality in voise on 3G.
In my previous phone, i could force network on 2G, but on Z1 i can only force 3G on network choice.
Is there a program to only use 2G until the operator repair his network?
Thanks in advance.

Not yet. Only provider of 4G in india is airtel which uses 2300mhz frequency for 4G. Our phone does not have that frequency band. So until another provider or airtel itself provides 4G on 2100Mhz frequency, we cannot enjoy it.
Only a few cities have the 4G coverage for now.
I love stock android on my Moto X

Using Airtel 4G in Visakhapatnam on my XT1092. Guess Airtel uses different bands at different places? How can I check which band I am using right now?

Hi all,
do both SIM sockets support LTE/4G (switchable)?
Or is it like:
slot 1 = 2G/3G/4G
slot2 = 2G only
??
Thanks for your reply!
its 4g /3g
I'm not really sure but it should be 4g for both sims but you can use 4g with only one sim per time and you should also switch 4g on the sim while the phone is turned on. Let us know.
OK so does it mean I can use two SIM cards and choose on which one I want to use 4G data? It is not necessary to physically swap the cards?
Yes you can switch thst in the settings menu.
Data activated sim kart will work 4G, second one reduce to 3G.
In settings menu, when you change data sim kart, phone switch immediately.
Not unplug and plug to soft switch.
So yes, both sim slots supports 4G.

Hi,
Here is Xiaomi Mi 9 CA Combinations: https://smartphonecombo.it/?device=M1902F1G . There is also another site with many devices 4G and 5G CA Combinations: https://cacombos.com/
You can help us to build better CA Combination database by sending device logs to us, here is instruction for Xiaomi devices: https://mt-tech.fi/en/how-to-get-4g-supported-ca-combinations-from-your-android-phone/

LTE Aggregation it's great on Mi9.
I can aggregate all bands simultaneously. It's super fast comparing to other phone that I have.
It obviously depends on your telephone operator too.
You can use NetMonster to check which frequencies you are using.

Hi!
There's no 5G option in the "Preferred Network Type" menu.
How can I turn it on?
*#4636*# is not working,
Setting the preferred network type to "NR/LTE" is not working either.

ColorOS 12.1 / CPH2207_11_C.53
I have exact the same problem. Searching the provider's site I saw that it does not support my device for 5g networks. I imagine that i need settings from the provider?!
Setting from the operator did not help anyway
I still don't have an item in the settings 5G
