Hello,
I recently updated my P9 to Nougat and EMUI 5.
Since then I am able, while at the lock screen to pull down the menu and disable wifi, mobile data etc. Before the update and while on EMUI4.x this was not possible and I want to disable this feature again. Is it possible? I must have gone through the settings tens of times but could not find the setting.
Also it no longers asks for a password when rebooting or shutting down while Locked.
Any help is much appreciated

I have some questions on the O2X, hope someone can shed some light
1) How do i delete facebook, tweeter, myspace for LG on the phone, i am rootd and have titanium pro, but i can't see any of this apps on the list for me to remove.
2) how can i set so the phone doesn't require my passcode evertime screen turns off or if push the power button to manually put the phone to sleep?
3) is there an OTA update option on the phone? i had HTC phones before and there are options in the settings menu for me to check OTA if there any updates availabe for my phone.
1.You have to remove SNS.apk from the system/app directory.
2. IF you mean you never want to have the lockscreen go into Settings > Location & Security > Change screen lock to none. If you want a delay before the lock kicks in I do not know but there is likely to be a way
3. The updates seem to be wired from LG PC Suite

for #2, yup i need it to take longer to require the lock code (i still want it to ask for the code after 5 or 10 mins and not just automatically when the phone sleeps or i press the power button to turn the screen off)
for #3 i figured i was only through the PC app. would have been better if it had an OTA update.
Hello, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to remove the top taskbar (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc) while the screen is locked? I wouldn't want anyone who can't unlock my screen to be able to disable my WiFi or Bluetooth etc.
Any insight is helpful.

Cerberus has this function built in. Can also block power menu
Isn't it possible to block in settings?
Quick menu has serious bug:
Lock screen - quick settings - SETTINGS and phone is unlocked. No PIN requested, no fingerprint needed.
This is really anoying to have such security bug.

That's not the case on 4.0.1.
Also, for the time being I got what I wanted by removing the data option from the quick settings.. So if someone does get hold of the mobile, they still can't disable the data. Ofcourse they can shut it off and eventually wipe it off. Good enough for now I guess.
I have had my S8 Plus set with no lock screen & I like it that way. Goofing around with the settings, I accidentally re-enabled the swipe to unlock & now it won't let me set it back to none instead of swipe.
WTF am I missing here??

Works fine for me.
Settings --> Lock screen and security --> Phone Security -->Screen Lock Type --> None.
VZW S8+.
Never mind, whatever was wrong fixed itself & now it's working fine again.

Can't Disable Password Lock Screen on S8+
I cannot disable the screen lock!
I believe it is a result of that fact that I just enabled the Find My Device feature via google.com/android/device manager. I set up a password there. Then my phone locked, and I had to enter the pw to unlock it. Now, I always have to enter that pw to unlock the phone. I tried to turn off the password lock in the phone settings. Under Screen Lock Type, it says password. I am required to type in the pw, to turn it off. It temporarily changed to "Swipe", No Security. But then as soon as a navigate away from this screen on my phone, it goes back to "Screen Lock Type" - Password. I can't disable the screen lock! It's driving me nuts. So, I turned off the Find My Device feature. I also went into Phone Administrators and removed the radio button next to Find My Device. That didn't do it. I restarted the phone. I disabled google smartlock (I don't know if that is relevant). That didnt' work either. I read something about selecting Clear Credentials, but that option is grayed-out on my phone.

Hi everyone.
As the title implies, my P10 Lite no longer displays any notification information when the screen is locked, even though I have set the notification setting to show all content. The notifications DID work, but simply stopped working all of a sudden.
I have also Reset all settings, but the issue still persists. I have gone through all of my themes, lock screen types, but they simply will NOT show no matter what I do. Some app notifications don't even pulse the notification light. The device plays the notification sound, but nothing is displayed in the lock screen.....
Please help.. This is rather annoying
If i use a lockscreen from the Theme app that is not made by EMUI i dont get notifications. Are you sure the lockscreen is made by EMUI?
You need to set the 'screen lock style' to 'Magazine unlock' found under settings -> 'the Screen lock & passwords'

As far as I know there isn't natively an always on display like on the s8 for the p10. The only option you have for an always on display is to use a third-party one like AcDisplay. (Correct me if I'm wrong though)
Edit: There is an option to let the screen never sleep during charging in developer options but I'm not sure if that's what you were looking for.
This finally solved my problem
After the update on my Huawei P10 Lite the notifications don't show on my lock screen. I tried everything - changed the theme (everyone I have), changed the settings and nothing. Every time I have to unlock my phone to see if I have some new notifications. Please help, it's really anoying.

The problem with notifications on lock screen on huawei p10 lite i was able to solve on this way: As someone wrote earlier you need to go to 'Settings'-'the Screen lock & passwords' and set the 'screen lock style' to 'Magazine unlock'. Then go to 'Theme'-'Customize' and under 'Me' choose lock screen wallpaper that you want. The only problem that I have now after i've done all that is that notifications apear on my lock screen and make a sound but doesn't lite up. If anyone knows the solution to this problem please write.
the problem is that i dont like magazine unlock, is there another way?
Can anyone who has rooted emui 4 phone(probably Huawei/Honor) extract it's default theme so we can figure out how to make a theme with lock screen notification enabled
I use face unlock including the setting Direct Unlock and Raise to Wake. I don't know what I just did but now every time i lift the phone to unlock it I get 'Smart Unlock successful. Slide up to open.' It didn't do that until an hour ago. It used to go straight to the last screen I was using. Searched everywhere but cannot see what I did that changed it. I am on the Beta but I don't think that makes a difference. Any ideas?

In the end I did a reset of settings and also wiped the cache in recovery and that seems to have got it back to normal. Unfortunately, meant I had to redo all my settings again.
I have the same problem, it's very annoying any better solutions then reset...??

Just to be clear - it wasn't a full factory reset, just a reset of Settings. So no apps or data was lost.
guyz google bringing always something new.. they made new feature dat they know u ar at home and they gve u option to enable smart unlock so bylocation google knows u at home so u taped ok and u enabled smart unlock u prbobaly didn't even realised what was it u just tapped yes ...
so when u at home phone is already unlocked...
Hiw to remove Smart Lock
Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Lock screen password > Smart Lock > turn off on body detection
