Blurry text when scrolling - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

I am experiencing blurry or ghosted text when scrolling. It's really annoying and takes away from the whole experience of using flagship phone. The best I can describe it is it's like in this video. Is this a software problem or defective screen? Thanks!

whats up with pinch to zoom in Gmaps?

I'm only talking about with google maps. And i cant remember if its always been like this; After you zoom in or zoom out there's an annoying adjustment it zooms further and it doesn't end up at the zoom level at which it was when you removed your fingers. I guess whats happening is that when u pinch the phone has to load the image that you zoomed too.
Sue me but my main comparison is with my friends stupid iPhone 3g. When I pinch, I remove my fingers and that's where it stays. Its like it loads the map and i zoom in or out whereas the nexus loads only the map at a certain focus and any adjustments require it to load that level. I dont know im sure thats a horrible description im just wondering if this is a general issue. My nexus is stock am I the only one?
edit: its not that i want an iphone its just that its a good example of how the app should work. Particularly since its a google app on a google phone
Shhhh.... don't mention Apple. You want to get sued?
I'm running the latest stock Froyo and I just noticed the same problem. It's almost like it has it's own pre-determined zoom levels and it just zooms out or in to whichever one is closer, not to the exact zoom level you pinched to.

Pinch to zoom in Gallery is not accurate

Accurate would be too generous a term. The instant I set two fingers down to pinch zoom, the image already starts to float away.
Then, once I start spreading my fingers to zoom in, the image never zooms in on the part of the image between my fingers. It works perfectly in the browser, I just don't know why it doesn't work with the gallery.
Anyone else have this issue? I'd report it to the code.google.com website, but I can't find the exact link to the issues page.

When I set two fingers down to pinch zoom, nothing moves.
Zooming works very nice here.
I have noticed the same problem as OP on 2.2 FRF50

X10 also the same
This problem was less prominent on the previous version of Gallery. Granted, it still wasn't perfect, but there was no drifting.
There are alternatives to the stock gallery on the market (some are based on the Eclair gallery). I would recommend gallery 3D, but it has some issues.

Personal experiences

I understand that a few of you have been using the phone. My contract has ended, and I'm really thinking about getting the Optimus 2X. I have read mixed reviews regarding the phone, and really want to hear from trusted XDA users.
So any advantages, disadvantages or verdicts would be really appreciated
Swedroid.se tested the phone a week ago, Swedroid is the biggest swedish community around Android, and its the only site I trust 100%! They said that its the best Android phone ever, they have tested so far.
You can check out the huge test here: http://www.swedroid.se/test-av-lg-optimus-2x/ (Its in Swedish though)
I agree with Hund. Swedroid does the best reviews you can ever see on the internet. They know their job and they test pretty much everything.
I've had the phone for a couple of days, so here are my first impressions:
Battery: I came from a Sony Ericsson X10i and the battery is a great improvement - can't give any stats though, but have pretty much been using the phone non-stop
Screen: Awesome screen with nice vibrant colors, good viewing angles and rather fair in sunlight.
OS: Everything is smoooooooth. Except when you change stuff like usb-mode. Then the media-player looks for new transferred media, but that is expected.
HDMI mirroring works like a charm! Great to show off and good when visiting people when you want to watch a movie.
Watched a couple of tv shows on a long busride today. Just standard 350mb .avi files that worked PERFECTLY! Even subs were crystal clear!
Camera - has some bugs with the blurryness, but I haven't really used it yet. Should be solved with a software update at some point.
I think that's about it.. BEST phone I've had so far and everyone I've shown it to was impressed BLING BLING

Hey Muude.
That sound great... thanx for your words...
I'm very exited to be recieving mine soon from Ellos.dk... they are just soooooo slow...
I can't wait to start watching movies via hdmi ;-))) Nice!
Ok, th camera bug is a known problem and it seems to be a software problem.
Could someone kindly try to use another camera from the market? Maybe the results are better? Camera360 could be an alternative app.
What about gps ????

Do you use a Taskkiller like ATK or something. If you do stop using it, i had the same problems with those force-closes when using ATK. Also you have to bear in mind that it has stock 2.2.2 and most market place stuff is made for 2.2.1 .
My opinion on the LG 2x: I still can not believe it's from LG those guys really went in the right direction. I've had a BB9700 and a Galaxy S (darkys rom) and this LG really is a piece of work. The build is quite solid when compared to Samsungs Galaxy and the preformance is great. Battery live is about 130 % better then the SGS not 160 % as advertised.

I've experienced super quick gps fix!
This goes for Google Maps, Foursquare and CoPilot Live..
Works flawlessly and extremely fast to get a signal
It would be nice, if someone could check the quality of the camera using different settings and show us some photos
I have this phone now for 5 days.
Before I had a HTC legend.
- speed is great.
- there is a lag in the lockscreen (when you press the power button you first see your homescreen, and a second later the lock screen)
- i didnt found a option for the email of my hotmail account to delete te messages from the server.
-I cant add wordt to my dictionary when typing a message.
- had several crashes while doing just nothing (scrolling through menus or something)
- a lot of programs start up by themself. and the advanced task killer is not automaticly closing it even when i put the setting on kill when screen is off.
overall a good phone, but it doesnt feel just that right like a HTC.
can anyone say something about multitouch on 2x? in a video i saw its capable to handle 10 points but more interesting would be if its now possible to pinch to zoom and move at a time.
e.g.: in browser you zoom in on a webpage and whlie zooming you move the centre of zooming to an other point like the upper right corner and it zooms to the new centre. ive seen this on windows phone and ios but android so far.

How do you set up your hotmail? I haven't been able to do that. On my X10i, when i deleted the messages of my phone, it didn't affect the server either, so maybe that's just they way android is set up.
The standard keyboard is pretty lacking in terms of features..
The random things you experience with programs could be due to the fact that you are using a task killer.. They only cause problems imo.

It does do this, but I don't see the functional purpose of this Screen isnt giant and I have enough strength in my fingers to lift them off the screen, pinch and then replace them to another area

[Q] Popup window scrolling lag

Anyone who is experiencing heavy lag when scrolling through those popup selection windows? For example when choosing a ringtone? My whole system is fast and fluent but even with 1700mhz these popup windows are still lagging.
Anyone have an idea what's causing this?
Yup, that's one of the worst lags on the Note. Nothing helps. I wonder why, my ****ing Atari was able to scroll the lists in 1984. Smells like poor coding...
The scroll lagging is present in apps like Twitter etc as well... it SUCKS!
Wow that's very strange. I wonder what could cause this? It must be a coding error with the gpu and screen resolution. There's no real excuse why it shouldn't, the only big change between this and the sgs2 is the screen resolution.
Come on Samsung, update!

Weird Multitasking Bug?

It is kind of hard to explain but when I click on another app via the multitasking view, the app is initially kind of grainy looking and it takes a split second to "refocus" as if it initially loaded up a picture of the latest snapshot of the app instead of the app itself and then loads the actual app a split second after.
Anyone else have this?
bump
Its not a bug, you've just explained yourself exactly what's happening. Thats the way multitasking is displayed on many android devices. Basically a thumbnail of the last state the app was in. When you call that app back it replaces the picture with the real app. You'll find sometimes that the app is closed, but the thumbnail leads you to believe its still open.

Do other smartphones have the same delay as well?
Mine doesn't have a delay. On occasions it has to reload a webpage and that takes more time.
It's hardly a delay, more a nice fade in feature. If you scroll while fading in you'll notice you have actually scrolled, meaning that the app has actually loaded but fades in to make a nicer animation!
