1. I have this phone since 2015 or smth like that and for 2 years it works perfectly. And 3 months ago it shut down randomly at 30 40 50 even 60 and when i try to open it for like 20-30 minutes it shows 1% battery and shut down again... after these 20-30 mins from 60% it goes to 20-30 sometimes even lower...
2. When it doesn.t close and i use wifi + youtube in 1h max from 100% to 0%...
3.if i play a game with wifi opened, in the battery appear an exclamation point and the battery goes 2x faster and hot as hell

Standard CDMA battery, testing how long it's lasting.
My setup:
No incoming beams
Wifi off
Mail account is checked every 2 hours
I manually check whether about once an hour
1 min data shutoff after usage
Reception is minimal, 0-1 bar usually, but never "searching for service"
Text messaging very often, with display off inbetween
What I've done today so far:
Started at 9 AM
Data usage for about 20 mins
Played Teeter for 10 mins
Camera for about 10
Mail being checked, etc for about 3 minutes
Weather checked 3 times
About 150 texts sent/recieved
Viewed pictures for about 5 mins
It's now 2:17 PM. The battery is at 40 percent. However, I recieved this phone on December 24th, so the battery still may be adjusting. It was at 60, but the email really killed it for some reason.
I plan on listening to music for about 45 mins. We'll see how long we can last. I have not spoken on the phone yet today.
-Will update-
A new battery takes around 2-3 full charge cycles to reach maximum capacity,
Also your ROM and radio ROM have a huge impact on battery life.
by charge cycles, do you mean full charge/discharge?
And I'm running a stock sprint rom, I've tweaked it a decent bit.
I ran the famous CDMA battery tweak, the PollInterval as well.
I've been listening to music for 17 minutes now while texting, battery still at 40 percent.
Just ran music for 45 mins, constantly texting.
Still at 40, battery life is much better than anticipated, haven't went through the 2 full charge cycles
ok since a couple of days ago my phone had the best battery life i could ever want, but now when i have lets say 65% left and play a high-end game (like GTA III, Vice City etc.) it will stay at about 60% for a very long time while i'm playing the game.BUT when i leave the game and stop using the phone it drops at huge amounts. It sometimes even shuts off the phone when it still has a min of 15% left (with which before the problem accured, i could listen to music for about 2 hours before the battery showed me the second warning message (below 4%).When the phone restarts when i have lots of battery left it almost always beeps for low battery when it starts up again. So i plug in the charger and the next thing i know (literally after a few seconds) the battery percentage is up with at least 10% which i find impossible as it took about 2 hours for the phone to fully charge when having less than 5% battery left when i bought it in March this year.So my question is whats wrong with my battery ??? Will buying a new one from Handy solve the problem? I'm out of ideas so any help is much appreciated.I'm starting to hate my phone for this issue
Hello XDA Community.
I bought an HTC One off of eBay, and I've been using it for 3 days now (I had a VZW HTC One before but the restrictions from VZW were annoying, let alone the updates that come after 6+ months). I did notice a problem, which is a major issue, since I depend on my phone a lot in my everyday life. The problem is this: The battery seems to lose charge normally at 100% til' 80%, then faster at 80% to 50% and within an hour or maybe less of little to no use, the phone goes to 40-30% percent and then goes from 30% to 20% in seconds, 20% to 15% or 13% in less than 10 seconds, and basically goes from 40% or 30% to 0% in a minute or two (sometimes even 30 seconds or so). It is driving me crazy.
I have been watching the phone, and I noticed something really strange, which made me suspicious of this being a software problem.
I charge the phone and by the time it goes at around 30% (30 or 31 yesterday, 36 today) it just shows the battery without the charging indication (no green filling in the battery, it just shows an empty battery and said percentages). When I unplug and plug back in the phone continues charging, but at a 76 to 80% charge. I would really appreciate some help, and thank you in advance.

Hello my friend. I bought a battery replacement off of eBay and I will go to an expert to change it for me, as soon as possible. I will let you know if the problem is fixed, or if it insists.
I baught this phone 3 days ago and it the battery is a big problem and I really don't know why
For example I left it at 83% downloading some updates with WiFi and I came back after 40 minutesto find it at 76% and from the battery setting the cell standby (when I open it it says something about cell radio) used 74% of the battery and after those 40 minutes it became 77%
I would appreciate any help from u guys.

So you've lost 7% in 40 min while the phone was downloading updates. Nothing abnormal imo.

When screen was off during the night it hasn't dropped at all, and when I use it it drops 1% every 2-3 minutes with everything off except for WiFi
With the lowest brightness

1% every 3 minutes = 5 hours of screen on time.
Again, nothing abnormal here.

Turn off Fast Boot in settings. Power off phone.
Plug phone into HTC charger and charge for two minutes or more
While charging, hold down volume up+volume down+power button and continue holding
Phone will turn on and off repeatedly every 15 seconds or so while continuing to hold all three buttons
Keep this going for 2 minutes, then release buttons when phone is ON
Now, let phone charge fully normally (with phone either on or off--doesn't matter) and battery level reporting, charging and battery life should be normalized.

Hi. Phone age is 1 year daily usage ~ 2h average.
I noticed the first time today battery draining fast from 100% to 25% from watching 30mins or so twitch 1080p streams.
Then a little browsing got me to 15%.
By little I mean 10 15 min.
Then I saw the percentage drop by one every 2 seconds almost looked like a countdown. Never seen this before.
Phone shut down. Booted to twrp, sat there at 3% for ages.
Phone problem ? Battery sensor problem ? Battery dead ? I need to change it ? I'm disappointed I expected at least 2 years of decent service.
update: i let it charge fully
it shows 78% on lock screen and sais "Charged" .......
What is going on ?
update fix :
Wiped all except data
installed fresh aosp + opengapps + magisk 18. solved
