I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed that, on top of the other display changes? I noticed in developer options, that you can change the dpi.. Maybe I'm late to this.. But I changed it, and it looks awesome!

What did you change it to? I set mine to 500, not bad.....
Doesn't require reboot as well. Thank you!

This is a pink theme I made today whilst sitting in my boxers not cleaning like I should be.
Thanks to RandomKing for the transparent MMS I implemented.
Also thanks to the makers of Pretty In Pink for alot of the icon files.
I went through 4 alphas and 2 betas, beta 2 appears to be working correctly with everything I wanted implemented.
Tested to work fully on ACS ICS v5 but I have yet to try others. All bug reporting would be appreciated, or tips on anything I should add change remove etc.

What mods did you implement?
Hotspot hack, 1x, extended reboot options?
None of the above
I'm not too experienced yet, so its very basic

I am sure it would not be too hard, but I don't have an epic touch to try, and I dont know how different it is.

Ya true. I am slowly learning how to theme but its difficult for me still. I have gotten the framework and systemui apk out but I'm struggling at modifying it. If by chance you ever figure it out that would be awesome. Otherwise ill keep trying lol. Good job on this theme again

Hey,
I wanted to change the dpi in order to let the icons on my screen appear bigger.
But I don't know which values I should set since I don't really know how this works..
So could anybody tell me the values which won't brick my phone?
Thanks

Lowest dpi - 170
ok but wouldn't this make the icons look smaller? Any way to increase density?

use lcd density modder pro.
if you use the free version you will get play compatibility issues.

I used this app once, you need root access and that's it, there is a higher density and does make icons larger, i would lower it though

Uhmmm, can you just send me your Phone.apk (I thought it is Dialer.apk but I could have it wrong) then I'll take a look on it, maybe I can find something.
Do you know you have to use apktool/APK-Multi-Tool ??
Oh yes, and, posting a screenshot will make your problem somewhat clearer.

Apktool? For editing? Well I'm not a developer so I don't know how to use it, but here is my Phone.apk and I found a DialerTabActivity.apk, attached just in case.
I hope you can help this newbie
Oh sorry for not posting my Screenshot, I read it after I post this. But I'm using my original DPI because I need to make calls.
Someone help? I'm desperate

UxpNxtLockScreen.apk

Actually, the only way to change that is to change dpi for framework-res (I think). :/

I just told you, the only way to change it is to change dpi for framework-res(Android System) and reboot. This will change the dpi for all apps.
Or manually modify framework-res.apk to change the dpi only for lockscreen.
There is no other way.

Thanks for your reply. I'll search how to do that and look into it. Hope it works out )

Did you ever figure this out. I'm trying to do this too. JUST the lockscreen it took me all of 2 sec. to change it system wide.
anyone managed to change the dpi of just the lockscreen?
or found another way to center its contents?
its driving me crazy that the fingerprint unlock is not showing up above the button!
Did anyone find a work around for this? I need to either center the elements in the lower part of the screen or change the dpi of the lockscreen only. Same problem here! Last thing left on my list!
Same problem here .
Anyone got solution yet?

Figured it out.
In AppSettings look for an entry called key com.android.keyguard
Set DPI to 640. Under that select/check Apply res to widgets.
Save (Maybe reboot too).
Lockscreen is now stock while everything else remains (at least for me) sweet 530 DPI

Thank you very much!!!!! This really did the trick!!!
I just dropped the resolution down using Terminal Emulator and changed the DPI and while the phone mostly looks good I have found it hard to get hotspots working with Zooper widgets. Does anyone have any advice about fixing this? Thanks
