galaxy note 8 n950f - update - question

Hi,
some months ago I heard that my note 8 will not support twrp or/and odin anymore if I install a update. Is that true or is this only for specific devices?
I need a answer because I'm about to press the Download&Install button : P I'm getting spammed with this update notification and I can't prevent it from getting displayed every 2hours.
No, I don't want to root it or install custom rom... not for now, maybe in the feature when I have like 1 1/2 Year warranty left ^^

My note 8 N950F stuck with android versio 7.1.1 no more updates

Hi,
I have a note 8 since 1 year, running on android 7.1.1 baseband : N950FXXU3BRA8, as i know there are many latest versions of android released recently !
When i do Check updates, it says my device is up to date ? Is there any new android version that i can install on my phone ? i mean upgrading to recent version ?

You can easily update the phone yourself using odin to flash the newest firmware version! You don't have to wait for your carrier to do it just go download the newest firmware for N950F and flash it and just do that every time a new one comes out.

If you're only updating you should be fine however I would still suggest you use Smart Switch from the play store and make a backup of everything on your phone so it saves the backup to your SD card so if anything goes wrong you still have everything and you just use Smart Switch to restore it all.. You never do anything to your phone without making a backup!

Download samfirm.exe or frija on PC and download firmware and flash phone with Odin using PC.
Search YouTube on how to use Odin and Samfirm.exe or frija.

Downgrade Flyme 8 to 7 or notifications not working

Hi, I'm a new user of meizu 16xs, this is the forum that is closest to my device
I recently wanted to try flyme 8 chinese version and install it, but I prefer to return flyme 7 global, does anyone know about any method to make it?
when trying to install it tells me that the security patch is older.
the problem i have is google timeline not recording
and notifications arrive some time later and sometimes until opening the app

Same problem Here. I Got meizu 16s. IT was flyme global 7, upgrade It to 8.19A, now I can't do anything about IT. Tried to downgrade it but nothing works.
Also tried to root It but nothing works.

which has a link to github were there are tutorials on

once you have TWRP installed look at page 10 of the "guide-to how-you-unlock" thread which has the steps to install whatever
stock ROM you want.
I went from Android 9 Chinese Flyme 8 to Mokee Android 10 to the global flyme 7 .

Install 'samsung phone info' from playstore.
Check your csc.
Download firmware based on the csc using frija.
Flash the downloaded firmware using odin.
