Have just started to play Injustice 2 on the P9 and the performance is awful, its super laggy and the framerate is very low. Is anyone else playing this game and experiencing similar performance issues. Is there anyway to boost performance for gaming on the P9 (i have changed the Power Plan to Performance already)?
You are experiencing on p9 I am experiencing the same on p9 plus,I don't know if game is such or p9 plus gpu can't handle it, after seeing it such my thoughts were I like Injustice more

I bet it's the game. Currently I'm playing Real Racing 3 with up to 25 cars on one track. No lagging.
Hi, i tested injustice 2 with my mod and it seem quite good if you want try check this

Hi guys,
Since you already know our device is getting older and now it is being categorized among the lower-end handsets in the android community. Games on android have never been so much better. The visuals on some recent games are breathtaking. I know the device we own is not so much of a gaming one and continuous gaming can adversely eat up the battery life and heat up the phone so please don't bring this up in the discussion which will follow since everyone knows it.
I want this thread to be a gaming thread for AHD. I would like you people to discuss about some latest and graphic intensive games and their performance on our phone. I actually want to determine the real life performance and reach the upper limits of this phone. Stats and benchmarks are just numbers and real life performance can be different. I will comment on the games which I have played on my AHD and share my experience with them. I suggest you do the same. For best performance you should restart the phone before launching the game and never run any apps in the background.
The games which I have tried personally are(I'm listing all the graphics intensive games here not the ones which are like Candy Crush):
- Asphalt 8 ( A great fun racing game with some breathtaking visuals. Overall this game runs fine on AHD. Can sometimes lag a bit when running other apps in the background but overall the experience is lovely)
- Leo's Fortune ( One of the most top rated and liked games on mobile platform. The game runs without a hitch. Can sometimes stutter on levels where there is snowfall or rain but it can be tolerated. I just loved playing it on my phone)
- Dungeon Hunter ( A lovely RPG. It performed okayish when I started playing it but after few levels it just stuttered randomly at some points which I couldn't bear and so didn't play it further on the AHD)
- Plants vs Zombies 1 & 2 ( They both run great. Love playing them every now and then)
- Riptide GP 1 & 2 ( Awesome Jet ski racing games. The visuals are amazing for a game which acquires such a low space on your phone. Try them out)
- GT Racing 2 ( Runs fine for the most part. Performance can be compared to Asphalt 8)
- Real Racing 3 ( I played this game an year ago on my AHD and the performance was not so good. It is such a great game, probably the best racing game on a mobile platform right now but for me it stuttered every now and then due to which I didn't play it further on AHD. I recently asked a member here about RR3 performance in CM11 thread since he mentioned he was playing it. Maybe its gotten better I think I should try it out again)
I've played lots of other games as well but I think these are enough to get the thread going. Please share your experience as well.
- Modern Combat 5 on this phone makes it feel that its getting really old. GFX aren't great (pixilated with textures) and its laggy too, the problem was starting the game or hoping it doesnt crash while doing a very intense level. I ran this game in Blisspop 2.2 (very stable and quick btw) and was surprised that it ran that bad.
- Madden Ultimate Team Mobile (It was a huge problem to start the game even in stock it was a problem it would just freeze and reboot) Cm11 I had better luck it would crash when loading but would load the game when I was lucky enough. Playing the game was okay too, wasn't all impressed or that since its a sports game. I think the problem is when its getting alot of data from the internet for managing the ultimate team, it would just crash there. When using Cm12 and Blisspop (especially Blisspop) It loads more often than not and managing the team would still be an issue, but you must load it one step at a time and not all at once, good enough. Best tip is to restart this device and then just run it, before other apps try to run.
Mincecraft- It just runs the game as if the phone was in the mid range category and im fine with that. Cm12 and Blisspop run it much better thus a slightly better view distance seems fine before the device lags when you put the view distance higher. Cm11 and lower (including stock) just take it down a notch and it runs fine.
I could understand why its now in the lower part of the spectrum and is compared to the moto g of last year and the moto e of this year. (judging from benchmark rankings, just slight differential)
The newer devices will always have some type of edge because it processes things much better due to the chipset architecture, management, optimization etc....
When I playing a game my phone gets hot and my fps or smoothness of the game goes down and the fluidity of my phone goes down heavily. Is this the cause of overheating or throttling ?
what game?

like every game, i mostly play minecraft PE (beta 1.1.0) and when starting playing it runs smoothly then later it lags then goes smooth then lag and the cycle goes on like this and its annoying.... Is there a soultion to make it smooth all the time
Mayby you have something running in the background that slow down your game in periods.
(I don't play game on my device my self, so i can't compare to my device to yours.)
Hello everyone! I wanted to share with those who play daily on the P10 Lite a simple trick to increase the graphics performance and framerate in games heavier or requiring too many hardware resources. You do not need the root and no apps, just go to the phone settings, display, screen resolution and set the resolution to 1280x720 (HD), in this way the screen will be a little 'blurred but to play is not a problem! After that start the game. Well I tested some games like Shadowgun Legends, and thanks to this method now I can also play ultra graphics with an excellent framerate! Which in FHD was practically impossible given that even at low graphics after a while it started to lags and stutter. Another positive thing is that the phone heats a lot less! Also tested on Injustice 2, it is much more fluid apparently approaching 60 fps. The only downside is that the quality of the display may be slightly faded but it is completely normal. Let me know if you also notice improvements and I hope it will be useful.

I tried this with Asphalt 9, but I didn't feel much difference, except the graphics were absolutely horrible! I only finished one race before closing the game and changing back to FHD!
Also, I use Game Suite, so maybe that's why I didn't see much difference in game play. [emoji848]
Perhaps it will be helpful with other games, so thanks for the tip, nonetheless [emoji2]

I would advise you to look at other brands.
I'm not happy with the way huawei is treating this model.

Sad but true!
Hello everyone,
I've upgraded from OnePlus 7 pro to Mi 11 ultra thinking about it's great specs but even with SD888 i can sense a lag in the game, it's unable to handle Pubg, game lags,
I've tried from smooth to UHD with extreme refresh rate, in OnePlus 7 pro with SD855 i was able to play HD with extreme refresh with no problem.
Anyone knows how to fix it? What is your review on gaming?

My experience in gaming Mobile legends is amazing, I keep going with UHD max graphics and performance and my device handle to beat at least 94% of others, imagine if I drop refresh rate and graphics a little bit.
a quick question, how many games and hours you played on pubg with the device?
for me, the first 2 times I played mobile legends the phone was overheating and device was lagging little bit. but after that, battery is way better, never over heats, and amazing performance. so basically, it is just learning the device power consumption.
in summary, be patient and it will be way better in a day or 2.
may I ask which rom version you doing? hope not .Eu!!
forgot to mention, everytime I factory reset device I face same issue. so it is a thing that you should not worry about. just machine learning.

Hope not eu? Why this?
My eu stable version never lags at all.

If it was Eu, then all I said above does not apply to him. As the experience I shared was of stock rom. And I had bad experience with EU rom specially gaming and ram management. I totally agree with you that it never lags and sooooooo smooth, but other things are also important.
Thank you @hassanaliyeh , I'm on global miui 12.5.2.0 , I don't play games a lot, it was just for a hour. I'll try it again today.
I tried some GFX fix tools but it didn't worked.

No worries, you do not have any issues then, just give it a few hours and days.
