I've been on stock from start, but i'm starting to get bored and my battery has started to drain much quicker suddenly so i'm on the verge of flashing a ROM... Just can't decide which one. As i said i want a ROM which is smooth and has good battery life so can you guys help me choose? Thanks in advance for everyone that helps me choose the right one!

Criskelo was awesome absolutely no problem I was on it from v7 to v9 with golden theme till v8. Very stable and daily work horse.
Now I am on another awesome ROM this is called liquid black this is superb and very stable ,plenty of tweaking option. For few hours I was on staxx hybrid rom . Staxx crashed all of a sudden so I left it. Many have said staxx is an awesome ROM I didn't go back to it because I don't know why it crashed in the first place. As things stand I am happy with liquid black!

Hi,
For me, no match, Paranoid based on CM9 is the top ROM.
This ROM is Hybrid between Phone and Tablet and is exactly what Samsung should have realized for the Gnote stock ROM.
Hope it helps.
I use Alba Full aroma V3 with speedmode kernel.. Best combination I found..Great Battery life

Indeed a little bit weird...) But still, I have moments when I want a fast and stable ROM like LiquidBlack 3.2.1 or times
for which a TW ROM suites me better. And I also think that every ROM is unique in is own way. Therefore, a very big thank you
to all our devs.

Gueste2X Hybrid Revolution with symbi0sis kernel and gueste oc, uv apps
If you need stability: Temasek's CM7 (for stock/CM android experience) or any rebuild of LG's stock rom (if you just love LG's UI that much)
If you want features: Perhaps one of the ICS roms, but there are some bugs you should be aware of (should be stated in thread)

I'm using CM10 Paranoid Android... It's simply fantastic... Or try ParanoidAndroid CM9 (don't flash beats audio!) with it you can flash UI 3.0 it's all in Paranoid Cm9's description!!!

If you want something that you can rely on just try temasek's unofficial cm7 or any rom that's based on it (Gueste, Chuck Norris). For me it's by far more stable and reliable than any CM9/CM10 roms right now.

extended battery life ROM?
hi, which custom rom is the best in extending battery life?
I'd like to try a ROM that would give me (a bit) extra talk time; if that ROM is stable, reasonably fast and reliable as well, that would be veeeery welcome!!!
I know I'm asking for a miracle, but please help anyway

thanks! I'll try it soon.
Do you have any idea how much "extra" battery life I'll get? 20% maybe?
grazie! Proverò a breve!
Hai idea quanto durerebbe in più la batteria? 20% in più?

I see there are 3 Editions to choose from, which one is the best "battery saver"?
Also, is there a page explaining the basic differences between those 3 editions?
I assume that using Clockworkmod I'll still be able to reflash the phone with any future ROM available, isn't it? Regardless of any kind of EXTx used? Maybe when (if) ICS kernel will be released / leaked - I've heard they released it for the SU660 lately... :good:

U can see what I am using....I have no issues with this....
stablest is Flix version as I has been stable since a long time.
I would always choose my choice by trying
Ext 3 is usually smoother for me....but some feel it is a placebo effect
but when the ICS really comes(I really hope it comes ), you will surely find a excellent ICS Custom ROM from my developer friends....maybe much better than Stock...so, dont worry mate
just go on and flash
did it - flashed Django ROM, stock edition, very good!!!
flashed it, it's better then LG stock for sure, maybe MUCH better and battery seems to last more (will test it).
Thanks for advice, I like it very much :good:

Mate i don't have the links for LG UI 3.0 but i will provide u the best ROM going to upload it soon. Its LEZO ROM which i am also using and its best ROM for LG O2X.
Plz wait till tomorrow i will post the links to you.
I have tried a lot of roms on my gt i8910 and I just wanted to know that what roms you are using right now on your phone? And why are u using it? Im looking for just smoothness and long battery life on my phone. I dont really care about any customization. Therefore I am using a stock based rom, virginity v14. It is smooth enough and has long battery life but it makes me feel using an ancient phone. I feel like I am using the phone that Edison invented long time ago  I need your advices
I use CyanogenMod 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1) latest. It has a good battery life and is far more pleasant to the eye than stock.
I would say try LineageOS (Marshmallow or Nougat; these Android versions have doze mode for increased battery life); I just use CM 12.1 because of the custom kernel (F-kernel) available for it.
I hope this helps. Be blessed in your search.

Listen a sentence which a mate teach me when I was a Junior Member.
"No ones knows better than Developer which tweaks are better for his work".
So only install kernel and enjoy it flavour!
Something important, if you are going to use xceed kernel you cannot have installed Firmware v7.7.6 it has to be 7.5.4 or 7.6.8 or 7.7.20 (this one replace the other 7.7.6 one which it is not suitable to combine with Overclocked kernels).
If you have any doubt don't hesitate asking me or someone!

DELET DIS!
Please don't ask what the "best" ROM or Kernel is. It's all depends on your usage. Please search before asking this question, as there are so many threads asking what the best setup is.
Once again stupid thread..............
Android Honeycomb with stock kernel is really good

There is no "magic bullet" that guarantees awesome battery life for everyone in all conditions. If there were, everyone would be using the same ROM, and that isn't the case, is it?
Better to find out what is causing the battery drain (rogue app, wakelocks, etc.) and address it.
There are also plenty of "best ROM" threads, including ones that discuss battery life. So another yet another thread is pointless. Should have posted in an existing thread.
Donut or Froyo is best of the best ROM for 3T ....lol

1. Freedom OS
**Pros:
-Oxygen OS based ROM
-Super stable
-Great Battery life
-Adaway
-Viper4fx
-much more stuff...
**Cons
-No more customisations than original ROM
-Not sure about Frequent updates
2. Lineage OS 15.1 unofficial
**Pros:
-oreo 8.1
-Great battery life
-lots of customisations possible
-Has much more developer support
-better than stock ROM
**Cons:
-few things are not working
Charging doesn't make a sound nor vibrate, no matter what settings.
Option to switch hw keys light on/off is missing (i know not real issue, but many prefer them off)
Display modes missing sRGB, DCI-P3
-alpha stage so not super stable
-bugs here and there
-you have to decrypt your phone { must for earlier versions but not sure about 15.1}
BEST KERNEL
No doubt Franco Kernel , best battery backup
After all it depends on you what's your taste ....
**SPECIAL MENTION
omni rom and nitrogen os are also super good but don't have great battery life
HIT THAT THANKS BUTTON IF MY POST WAS HELPFUL
i have tested many roms and kernels.
here are my results :
- oos 4.1.7 with stock kernel is amazing ! if you want more customization you can use xposed + gravity box
- sultanxda roms ( lineage 14.1 or rr based )
- and caesium kernel ! is one of the best in terms of battery, its sad it doesn't support oos and just custom roms.
and now i am testing oos 5.0.1 + latest franco ! hope it will be good.
