I read in Xposed FAQ about Xposed framework installation :
Does this require root access?
Yes, because it replaces a file in /system/bin. Once the framework is installed, it should work without root access.
Noob question : is it also the case for my mobile SAMSUNG Galaxy A5 2016 running Marshmallow 6.0.1 and not rooted ?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Since Android Lollipop, the only requirement is an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery (TWRP for example). Check this thread for more details about Xposed on a Samsung device with Android 6.0.1:

@Portgas D. Ace
Thanks for your reply.
I will read the thread you mentioned.
But I don't understand a point : to unlock a bootloader and install a custom recovery, I believed that the mobile have to be rooted.
Is it not the case ?
Sorry for my noob remarks.
Well, for the numerous devices that I own, I had to unlock the bootloader before rooting was possible. But for detailed instructions, check the corresponding device subforum on XDA. There you'll find information about this.

Unfortunately after reading instructions, it seems that I will lose SAMSUNG warranty for my device. It's like rooting your device.
So I can't install Xposed framework on my Galaxy A5 2016, as I could do it for a "normal" application (without rooting my device).
I was thinking that it was possible since Android Marshmallow.

The currently available version of Xposed for Android Lollipop is only installable via custom recovery. So if you want to use Xposed on a device, which is running Android Lollipop, you have to root it, flash a custom recovery (preferrable TWRP) and flash Xposed framework. For more information about Xposed for Android Lollipop, visit this thread.
Please, read the first two post very carefully, and have a look at post #2 in this thread. It contains a flow chart which lets you identify the suitable Xposed version for your device.
For a Samsung S4 running stock Lollipop, you will most likely have to look at this thread also.
Thanks but...
Thank you so much but is it official or unofficial and i my galaxy is rooted and i have custom recovery cwm and I'm on 5.01

First of all, use another custom recovery, CWM is known to cause issues. Use TWRP instead.
Second, in the thread I have linked (again, here is the link) there is a flow chart available in post #2 to identify the correct version of Xposed for each user individually. Have a look at it.
The version for TouchWiz-based ROMs is unofficial, as it is not being maintained by rovo89 himself.
A side note from my side: if you want me to reply to you, quote my post or mention me by writing @orville87.

Your information are still insufficient. Please provide information about
- your ROM (stock TouchWiz by Samsung or a custom ROM?)
- the Xposed files (and the link to them) you tried to install
Check post #2 from the official Xposed for Lollipop thread and use the table to identify the correct version of Xposed by yourself.
Hint: your Android version is 5.0.x, and your phone's CPU is ARMv8.
Stock touchWiz by samsung
Android 5.0.2
Cpu ARMv7

The Galaxy A5 has a ARMv8 CPU (Snapdragon 410, source). Check the table in post #2 of the above linked official Xposed for Lollipop thread. According to your phone's specifcations there is no apropriate Xposed version available.

No, not for your current ROM. You could try to flash a (non-TouchWiz-based) custom ROM, for example CyanogenMod. This way you will be able to install Xposed afterwards.
And I wouldn't use the info from Hardware Info app, this app shows a lot of false information. Use the official specifications from Samsung, which shows that the A5 has a ARMv8 processor.
When avilablee xposed for ARMv8 processor..... Any planning ?????
And one thing galaxy j2 has which processor v8 or v7???

No plans for now. Maybe in the future, but most unlikely as most devices will get updated to either Android 5.1.1 or Android 6.x. As said before, you could install a custom ROM, this will solve your non-compatibility.
There is no Galaxy J2, only Galaxy J1, J5 or J7. Search for the specifications, look for the processor (for example Snapdragon 410) and check this wiki, which will tell you the ARM version.

Help
I have no luck, trying to install my version of xposed with ARMv7 processor rev (7l) galaxy note 3 n9005 with Infamous rom s6 5.1.1 lollipop....I tried all to install xposed on TWRP,sometimes bootloop...and not proper version
Hello,
I have Galasy S5 G900w8, arm7
Had kitkat for a while mainly because it looked like a pain in the... to install xposed framework. But finally decided to jump to Marshmallow. ^^
TWRP installed too.
Phone obviously rooted.
Tried to install xposed-v85-sdk23-arm.zip via TWRP but then won't boot. Got the xposed-uninstaller-20160211.zip to get rid of it.
First simple question : is it working for that specific # G900w8 (canadian - Rogers provider) ?
Thanks!
The official xPosed doesn't work on any LP/MM Samsung Touchwiz devices. You need to use an unofficial xPosed, but since your question was phrased well I'll provide you a link

Thank you! That was the little bit I was missing! And of course, it worked. ^^

If you uggrade to 6.0.1 official marshmallow stock the xposed will work with root. You won't brick your device until you know what you are doing.just make backup rom and save soomewhere safe like your pc and microsd card and you can go back where you ware if anything goes wrong.
