[Root] Help, can't root v20c

Posting on behalf of a friend. Here goes:
0) Yes, we've read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487105
1) Stuck on V20C. The official LG update utility says this is the most up-to-date version.
2) Have tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442588
3) Have tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480392
4) Have tried method on Cyanogenmod wiki.
Nothing worked. Is there a method that's confirmed to work for V20C out there, or have we just screwed up something? Attempting to eventually install Cyanogenmod.

indeed you can't downgrade using LG updater.. no problem, friend, here's your solution..

1. download the v10a firmware
2. install the firmware using SmartFlash Tool
3. root the v10a using blackjack
4. install ROM manager, and from there, install CWM
5. you can use the CWM recovery to install another custom ROM

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566532 by the end of it you'll have your version ready to flash and root at your will

Ah, thank you very much.
We weren't aware that the methods for V20C and other V20 firmwares were interchangeable - after several failed attempts and several more perusals through XDA we were beginning to suspect that V20C was unrootable as nobody seemed to mention this version.
Glad we were wrong, now happily running CM7. Phone is reportedly much faster and responsive now. Thanks for the help!

Do you have any sound problem I mean distorted sound in cm7 in ear piece and is opposite party to whom you talk is getting your voice clear?

lg g3 keyboard

sorry if someone else mentioned it already - i'm on g2 device for 2 months now and haven't been watching 2x forums so often...
i can confirm that g3 keyboard works on LG O2x as well... but i think you have to be on 4.2.2 rom or later

i tested it on the latest kk cm11 by tonyp (i included the files from the keyboard zip into the modifyed rom zip and flashed everything together through twrp on o2x on clean device)

LG O2x[P990]@TapaTalkPro v4.6.2

It is strange but i downloaded its apk but system didn't recognize it as apk file. Said: can't open file. I'm using Paranoid Android 4.45. Tried to flash the zip one via recovery but failed too. I'm using twrp 2.7.1.0.

I did it!
I included the files from kb zip into cm11 rom zip and flash it. No need to wipe anything.

I can't Upgrade LG Optimus 4X HD P880 to V20A Official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Firmware, i try everything, plz someone help me (my windows 8.1), i tryed on my father laptop (windows 7), but on half install stuck nothing happening (sorrry for my bed english).

same problem here

You have to insert the battery immediatly when the phone is in update modes. This fixed the problem for me

Try to install latest LG drivers and try on some other USB port even when if it does not work try another PC

Somebody like me live outside US so that can't upgrading by normal OTA.....Here is the a full Odin tar files for offical MM*G900AUCU4DPH2* Everybody can download and flash it by Odin up on 3.10...

Unzip and get five files. In order to stabilize the use, it is best to flash the pit file...like this...

Mega has any limiting servies? I cheak it again and it works well.

So assuming one is on Kitkat versions or 5.0 this update would work too?

I did flash full firmware by fist-boot. not using any box. I did flashed all ready 6 time,
but not solved problem. system app crashing message & auto restart phone.
Please help me any idea & any Sir.

Sounds like you didn't wipe the phone before you flashed. Either that or your using the wrong firmware.
