Samsung Galaxy S5 [PIT] [FIRMWARE] [G901F] [Everything Everywhere, UK] - Galaxy S 5 General

Since I found them particularly difficult to obtain and use successfully with my S5, I've put together a few PITs and the right firmware for the Galaxy S5 G901F LTE/4G Plus model.
I know it's a fairly old model now, but I just thought I'd help some people out considering most websites offering these files are very slow, or no longer support it.
Note: I'm not responsible for anything that goes wrong with your device. Be careful and make sure that you follow trusted tutorials or guides on how to flash your phone.
:good:
Google Drive: (FIRMWARE)
Download
Google Drive: (PIT FILES. MAKE SURE THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING)
Download
- Please tell me if I've done anything wrong with the packaging of the files. I'm new, but I thought I should provide easy access to some last-resort options in case people were in trouble.
These files can be particularly useful when you've got your phone into a state of not booting up at all, and only allowing you to boot into Download Mode.
You can flash both of these with ODIN, however the latest version never seemed to work for me, so I suggest first trying the new version here, then the older 3.09:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539
Let me know if I got anything wrong. Thanks.

Thank you so much !!!

Thanks alot for the PIT file!

Hello. How to use pit file? Thanks

[Q] total newbie need to know how to flash/root/unbloat

hi there, so ive got a samsung galaxy s i9000 in the uk with orange, finnaly got fed up of waiting for this damm froyo update, even though its been released now im aware seeing as my phone is a branded orange handset it could be even months before orange decide to make it avalible to download, so ive decided to go the unofficial route, ive also heard good things about rooting with regards to fixing the lag that these phones are prone to etc.
the thing is im a total newbie to all of this and ive found the xda forums very confusing....so many different versions of froyo and rooting programs etc which to use?
basically I want to debrand my phone get rid of all the orange bloatware, and flash it with froyo, my questions are just exactly how do i go about this and which version of froyo should I be using? which rom is generally accepted as the standard uncrashing version etc?
I also want to know is `lagfix` as ive heard about a good idea, and how do i go about rooting my phone in order to install this? the samsung does suffer from horrible lag so this would be a godsend if it worked.
thanks in advance
if it helps anyone give me advice the version of software now on my phone is the following(as seen when i go to download new firmware in kies...only to find there is none avalible lol)
pda:jm5/phone:jm1/csc:jm3
No offence, but I'd suggest waiting if I were you - as if you're not sure how to go about doing it, you're very likely to brick your handset and then have warranty issues.
If you decide to do it, then there's good info reading this thread.
Lagfix(es) reformat an internal partition with a different (faster) file system - deffo warranty void IMHO.
I would suggest firstly read as much as possible, secondly make sure you have 3 button recovery (this is a must).
Then id sugest the easist way would be to go to samfirmware to download appropriate firmware for your region follow the tutorials of how to flash from there site (its relatively easy) using odin.
Thirdly dont get over awed just read carefully it takes maybe 5 mins tops. You can either flash a different kernel which has root or try ryanza's new one click root tool and then use his oclf (one click lag fix) app to apply lag fix it really is not hard just common sense.
all done now froyo up and running, i used the files from the help page posted on xda, cant remember whos it was but it was for flashing froyo jpm version using odin. is that the latest version? my firmware is now showing i9000xxjpm seems to run fine havnt found any bugs so far. so glad i came across it anyway as i found that samfirmware site a waste of time.....i downloaded a few different versions ready to put on the phone only to find either no pit file, no tar file, no modem or phone file etc seems like there all incomplete rars im sure there meant to be that way and theres something you have to do to get them to work but i was looking for a complete package with all the files i needed like i found with the `how to flash froyo jpm version` post i came across.
also on the plus side it also removed all orange branding from my phone, noticing a difference between the os versions already, froyo seems to be a lot quicker and less laggy.
anyway cant remember who pasted the help thread with the links to the downloaded files you needed etc but cheers!
s
For your future reference most roms are just 1 file that being the .tar whether that be from samfirware or a custom rom from this site and the pit files are at the bottom of the samfirmware page. Just use pit plus .tar as pda then flash with odin.

[Q] Pls HELP!!

Hey guys i really need some help. I tried to install clockworkmod on my T-mobile samsung galaxy s (sgh-t959v) and i guess i bricked it. All that comes out on the screen is a phone and a computer. can someone pls tell me what to do to fix this and install the right way.
Thank you in advance
Fairly new to all this myself and don't have experience with T-Mobile but if you go here you should be able to get a Firmware for your phone: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=SGH-T959V&r=5#regiona
You should be able to download a stock firmware, odin & everything else you need to flash your stock firmware. From this site.
Perhaps wait and see other responses though as there maybe a way to fix without flashing a stock firmware. Also getting some info from someone with your phone on T-Mobile may be better.

Just confirming that what scubadude said above. Flash new firmware, it is a soft-brick and therefore recoverable. Something that needs to be added however is that you will need to make a login in-order to access the direct link. If the link still doesn't work after that then click firmware and follow on from there..

[Q] Download Mode + Odin queries

Hi,
I'm helping a friend who's got this phone (GT-S5830) debrick it. He's managed to get into Download Mode.
I'm used to flashing SGS2s with Odin - I've never done it on this, so just wanted to check a few things.
I've directed him to download this package - http://www.hotfile.com/dl/156521491/6ab255f/S5830XWKPY_S5830XEUKP1_XEU.zip.html which I found on Sammobile, as the latest UK stock XEU for this phone, i.e. no bloatware.
1) On all the screenshots I've seen, it's said on the title bar of the Odin application, "Odin Multi-Downloader", whereas the version I use for my Galaxy S2 is just "Odin", or something like that, basically it's not the same. Can somebody link me to the correct version to use with this phone (GT-S5830).
2) Again, on my phone I'm used to just having one PDA to flash, or occasionally three files (PDA, Modem, CSC), whereas on this phone there seem to be many others, from what I've seen in screenshots, such as bootloader. Which ones are necessary? Should I just use everything that comes in the package from SamMobile?
3) Anything else I need to know?!
Thanks all!
EDIT: found out I should be using Odin Multi Downloader v4.42, and no higher for this phone, seen in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734997. I also found out I need a "Cooper_v1.0.ops" file, which is the equivalent of an SGS2 .pit file for partitioning. I found one on some guy's dropbox, but can someone link me to a direct/official one, just to make sure I haven't downloaded a bad/old one. Thanks again!

[Q] How to delete files that are flashed?!

Hello there, I'm just new to the forum and i'm here because I need your help!
Okey, let's start from the beginning.
I want to root my SIII mini ( GT I8190 ) because I saw a site that enumerates the benefits or good things that you can
access if you root your phone. So I searched and searched and found a guide. I followed all the instructions and ended bricking my phone or having a problem with the
firmware thingy thing that I cant explain because I am not smart as you guys are. So I almost messed up the whole thing but
luckily, I fixed it by, I dunno.. So let's continue, I tried and tried searching for how to root my phone and I found the one! But when
I went to recovery mode, I can see the logo, the whole logo but I think its stuck and I think it is because of the files that I flashed
from Odin ( which is 6 by the way, 6 files ), So I want them to be removed!!!
PPPPPPPLEASE HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!
THANK YOU!

download stock firmware and flash it with odin and to root your device download VRoot for me it is the easy way to root my device I'm new with s3 mini so I see that it is the easy way to root it
When you flash with odin you fully overwrite one or more partition on your phone, that means that you lost what was there, so "delete some files" wont change a thing...
It would be useful to know what you've flashed, but probably you just need to flash a stock firmware.
You can find a stock firmware at sammobile.com, just search for your model (exact model, fw is different for N/L/T variants) and region (if you live in europe any fw starting with I8190XX is ok. You may follow this guide for instructions and troubleshoting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159660
Anyways there's a very easy way to root an s3 mini, just follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU everybody for your help! THANKS!!

Issues with UNROOTING SM-N920T Galaxy Note 5 (T-Mobile version)

Hello. I was hesitant to start a new thread, but there are a lot of threads in this section of the forums, and i keep getting an error when trying to use the "Search this forum" bar. Anyway, I have a rooted 6.0.1 Note 5 (DPG1 update) with TWRP 3.0.2-1 and am trying to flash stock rom back to Lollipop. I am using ODIN with the firmware file named thusly "N920TUVU1BOH6_N920TTMB1BOH6_N920TUVU1BOH6_HOME.tar". I first tried flashing with the .md5 extension on the end, but it failed as well as with the .tar extension. I've looked quite a bit on the forums, as well as on the web, and anything i have found say it is as simple as ODIN flashing stock rom through download mode. any suggestions, or tips? am I going about this totally wrong? need more information from me? please let me know, any feedback is appreciated. thank you.
EDIT: I am looking to completely remove root from my device, including restoring stock recovery; trying to sell device. thanks again.

What firmware did your device ship with? If it didn't come with BOH6 ( which mine didn't ) I don't believe you can flash it, I could be wrong but only flash with the earliest the phone came with. I can't think of any other reason Odin wouldn't work as I flash back and forth all the time between PD1 I can't think of the last 5.1.1, I've been on 6.0 roms for about a month.
I see. It doesn't necessarily have to be lollipop that I use to flash, that is just what the site recommended, could I use the latest marshmallow? Or does it have to be the version that shipped with the device? Because I do not have that information sadly. Perhaps you could link me to something that is sure to work? As long as I am removing root, I am ok with what I end up with. Thanks again!
