Hi All,
This may be a really stupid questions so apologies in advance, I've just purchased the Neet® - Bluetooth Stereo Music Receiver - in order to connect it to my bit ten d via the toslink optical rather than using RCA cables. .
By adding this unit to my system, would i be able to direct all sound / calls etc from the head unit via blue tooth to the Neet receiver rather than using RCA cables.
Due to the low voltage on these units, the sound quality is terrible.
Tanks
well unfortunately, it doesn't work. It seems to find the neet Bluetooth receiver but doesn't connect.

Okay so I'm planning on buying a new monitor. the ASUS MS238H and it has a 3.5mm hole that says "For HDMI" and a HDMI port. I was planning on hooking my xbox 360 up to it, and I want audio for it and my PC so I was thinking could I plug a 3.5mm cable from my speakers AUX port to the monitor and have it work, or do I need to split the audio coming from the speakers main cable for it to be able to work with my PC and XBOX360. Please anything will help.
Verify the specifications on both devices ... I seem to recall reading somewhere that audio can be transferred over the HDMI cable. I suggest doing a quick Google search on:
hdmi audio xbox360
HTH,
the hdmi cable should have audio built in.
Is it a hdmi to hdmi video + 3.5mm audio?
i dont think they do them put id try searching for hdmi to hdmi video + phono (l r) audio and get a converter

well the monitor doesn't have built in speakers that's the problem. The monitor has a plug that says "for hdmi" and it's a 3.5mm plug, and I have speakers with a AUX plug and I plan on plugging in my 3.5mm cable to the monitor through that. So I was wondering if it works.
Have a look at the the following XBOX360 accessory:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360hdmiavcable
The Xbox 360 HDMI Cable provides gamers with separate audio and video connections via the included Audio Adapter. The Audio Adapter allows HDMI video to be routed to the HDTV with the audio routed separately to the home speaker system. Without the Audio Adapter the video and audio signals are both carried by the HDMI cable. This means users without an HDMI receiver (new/costly) must listen to their Xbox 360 game and movie audio via their TV speakers.

Optical/RCA Audio Adapter included for non-HDMI supported stereo systems

So the monitor has the hdmi in then a 3.5mm socket out for audio?

In the midst of downloading the manual for the display ... I suspect the 3.5mm jack is audio out for mini-speakers.
* EDIT *
Well ... the manual is a Quick Start fold-out which doesn't provide much more info than what is posted on their site. The fold-out indicates that the ports on the back are 1) DC-IN, 2) HDMI-IN/DVI, 3) VGA, 4) Earphone - Out. Based on the limited info presented, I suspect that the audio/video is carried through the HDMI cable and port #4 could be used for a headset or mini-speakers.
Best thing would be to call ASUS up for confirmation before making the purchase.
I have a similar setup running on my screen and a set of speakers and a ps3. The way i did it was to send the video over HDMI and then the audio over a RCA connection. This meant that i can have clear audio.
If you do it over HDMI then Headphones, you meet the asus monitor amp (wont be great) i personally would suggest buying the adaptor that outputs RCA and digital optical, that plugs into the old standard component port on the back. Will be much easier and also you will not have audio levels controlled in 2 places.
I wanted to do it similar to you but i wanted a proper aux out to my speakers, no such monitor in my price range exisits at least or really needs it tbh.
Yeah thanks for all your help. I decided to buy a different ASUS monitor with built in speakers. Didn't want to go through the hassle of setting everything up.
Hi all,
is there a (cheap) solution for transmitting a Bluetooth signal (over my HD2) to Aux Audio? That would be great! Oh and I'm not looking for this for my car, but for a stereo music box (hope this is right word in English!)
greats!
Check these out ..... i bought them froom woot for 12$ ...you can connect ur cell phone to it using btooth and then put the aux cable instead of headphones..

And if you still decide to use it also as a handsfree for calling purposes check the sound quality of the mic before buying (call few friends with it and ask them if they hear you). I did not do it and now I have to use my Philips shb7100 just for listening music over a2dp because the mic is crap (or the AD conversion mechanism)
Bluetooth® Home Stereo Adapter DC800 [Motorola]
I use Motorola Bluetooth® Home Stereo Adapter DC800. this was a costly item 5 years back running up to 100 USD...but now a days you will find seconds everywhere on line and even the new one's shouldnt be too costly....
I am very happy with the performance...I connect my HD2 to this by Bluetooth
And DC80 has a output wire to my Home Theater....and it plays wonderfully.
I also have a Input wire into DC800 from my TV headphones jack....this allows me to use my Motorola HT820 headphones to listen privately late night shows when others are asleep....
try to find them in your country,..who know you might get a good deal on ebay/online.....
Hi people,
Does anyone know if there is an app/hack I can use so that when I pair up my Jabra BT3030 Dog tag unit to my i9000, audio is still sent through the 3.5mm stereo jack instead of via Bluetooth audio?
The reason being is that the audio quality loss does my head in when I'm playing music off my phone via bluetooth in my car. I would prefer to control the tracks with AVRCP on remote while audio is still outputted through 3.5mm.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
Hey, I spent a while to get this to work on my I9000 but then I found it works by default like this on the Galaxy SIII so that may give you something to investigate.
I had the idea to Disable the Sink service in the audio.conf file but as it works for me now I haven't investigated it.
My Nofe 4 was rooted and I'd installed Viper4android and its Bluetooth settings had fixed buzzy audio that I was getting with my Bluetooth connection. Unfortunately I cannot use the app on my Note 9 due to the lack of root available.
This is my setup for my vehicle;
Cassette Adapter to Male 3.5mm plug
Female-to-Female adapter & Line filter
Kinivo BTC450 (Male 3.5 mm plug to Bluetooth device)
I've tried the Bluetooth connection with a stereo receiver. No buzzing what-so-ever. Sound was as perfect as can be (for not being hardwired).
Any thoughts on an app can use?
I have given the OP on this thread a massive makeover. Hopefully, it clears up what I had, currently have and what I'm going for.
Hi all,
I've been searching around and it seems there are many use cases for this, mine specifically is I have a cheap AA screen which I want to display Waze on, but I want the music/audio to go through the cars standard bluetooth stereo system.
When you connect to wireless android auto all audio is routed over wireless to that unit. Is there any way around this?
The unit I bought only has a terrible inbuilt speaker or FM transmitter for audio output, and the quality of both is awful.
Hi. I have the same problem
Short answer, No - Android Auto routes only phone calls over Bluetooth and all other audio is routed through WiFi or USB. This is by design.
