How to select 2nd SIM as 2G only?

Friend's Here is the way to set 2nd SIM on 2G only.(As on 2G I feel voice network is much better and battery consumption is pretty low)
1) Deactivate 1st SIM completely.( which I believe generally we use for data)
2)Activate SIM 2 .
3) SELECT Network mode 2G only(instead of. 2G/3G/4G)
4) Now Activate SIM 1, and activate data.
(Network mode now automatic changed to 2G/3G/4G)

Dual Sim Data Questions

Hi,
Got the note 9 since friday. working great. but i noticed that when i call on sim2, i can use mobile data of sim 1.
Default mobile data is from sim1. and phone calls are set to ask every time.
now my sim2 is my work number. during the working hours i call alot with this number.
my sim 1 is my private sub from t-mobile. and i mainly use the data plan of it. since i dont wanna use the internet that my boss pay's for for my personal use.
Now since i got this setup. what happends is. some one texts me a foto through whatsapp. and then calls me to sim2 before i can look / dowload the picture. then when i pickup the phone they ask me did u see the picture i sent you. i then open whatsapp. but i get the msg no network.
what i noticed is that when i call on sim1 i still have LTE data. (cause sim1 provides the data)
so it cant use data from sim 1 and voice from sim2 at the same time?
also is there a way to set certain apps to use data of a specific sim card?
lets say i open my 2nd whatsapp that it loads the images sent there from my sim2 network
but when i open my 1st whatsapp (2nd app cloning) it uses data from sim1?
or any other apps for exmp chrome and samsung internet?
is there any tweak that automates the switch data to sim2 as soon as i make a call with sim2?
now i can just click on the sim settings menu and change the default data to sim2 to receive data during the call. but when im driving in my car this are alot of buttons to press and i rather not.

i don't own N9 yet. read about dual sim technology varieties on the net, theoretically N9 should be able to get dual VOLTE feature on both SIMs (assuming it supported by carrier(s), and phone shows VOLTE icon on both SIMs). in the event you are making call on SIM 1 & trying to get data on SIM 2 or vice versa, this requires dual sims dual volte (DSDV) feature kicks in and liberates you to choose which SIM to get data from.
might really want to consult with your carrier(s) if both SIM support VOLTE.

Are you able to get VoLTE and WiFi calling to work on the international dual sim F variant of Note-9 on US T-mobile network?

network problems

Hi,
i rebrand my P9 eva-l19C900 to c432 with success and i upgraded my android's version .. but i still have a problem with my network when i activate the 4g on one sim after twice minutes the second lose the signal and become deactived.

In Settings / Wireless & Networks / Dual SIM, see that only one SIM (you can choose which) can be 3G/4G
Hence one SIM will be on 3G or 4G, second SIM must be on 2G - but if your operator for that second SIM does not provide 2G you will not be able to use that SIM
In Settings / Wireless & Networks you can disable 4G and in Preferred Network type you can force GSM (2G) only - that way you can test which of the two SIM cards / operators provide/have 2G signal

In Dual SIM Settings you choose one which is 4G, the other will be 2G/3G
Cannot help you more, I have both SIMs 2G/3G/4G, hence no matter how I set, both work
Try playing yourself, test both SIMs one by one only, in one and the other slot, with various settings (4G enabled/disabled, Pref net 4G, 3G, 2G only)
Maybe you have problem with one of the SIM cards or one slot

[N950F DS] Problem with Dual sim data switching

I have the Dual SIM model. I use 2 SIMs one of which only works in LTE.
The problem is, whenever I switch mobile data from SIM1 to SIM2, it changes SIM2's network mode to LTE. So, SIM1 will not work. Is there any workaround for this?

How to set simcard1 using 4G and simcard2 using 3G?

I am using miuipro rom for redmi 4x.
By dialling *#*#4636#*#*, i have set simcard1 to use 4G Only, and simcard2 to use 3G. This only works temporary and after reboot, the setting will revert to simcard1 using 4G and simcard2 using 2G (GSM only..)
I have tried other roms and the same thing happen. Could we set simcard1 to use 4G ONLY, and simcard2 to use 3G ONLY permanently, even after reboot the phone?

Did you try to change it in settings? Go to Network Internet/ Sim Card and change "Preferred Sim for"

Have tried that, in the setting, only one simcard can be set the prefer network ( Have set to use 4g only), which the simcard is chosen for internet data, and the second simcard network cant be set , and second simcard network will be automatically set by the system and it will always be GSM (2G)...........
By going to dial *#*#4636#*#*, that's the only way to set both simcard prefer network, but everytime restart the phone the setting will be gone, and revert back to simcard1 (4G) and simcard2 (2G, GSM)........
