VOLTE for sony xperia z - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
i am currently owning a Sony xperia z C6603 device.
now nougat rom is already available for the device...however VOLTE is not.
So Dear Devs,
I know that VOLTE is a software based thing...so is there anyway that we can develop VOLTE for this device?
Thank you

no one knows except Sony Mobile
Somewhat surprisingly,Sony Mobile rolled out the Android 4.4.4 update for the Z1, Z Ultra & Z1 Compact...
I think we should get the update after the Z2 receives 4.4.4

But is it sure that we will receive it? I asked it because only those 3 models got the 4.4.4 update

Google Play Services 5.0 solved the battery issues for me. Look if it's updated on your phone.
I got 13h while streaming music, playing some games and surfing on the internet.

Sony never released beta ROM for their devices and they never will. You can't only speculate and give people false hope man. I hope that I'm wrong, but from past experience, you can bet it will be like this.

Sony did released Alpha & Beta rom before for Xperia Play & arc
Btw,Xperia Z is their first smartphone to make them more success,I hoped they will give another Android update for us...
See the Xperia TX,they are still giving small updates as it's almost 2 years (usually 18 months of updates, now already 22 months),they just released the 9.2.A.1.215 update last month.
It was launched on September in 2012 with Android 4.0 ICS,now 4.3 Jelly Bean, and 4.4 KitKat under investigation.
They are still consider to give the 4.4 update for T/TX/V,if no,why don't they remove it from the support page ?

I hope so man, but if we get another update it won't be Android L, maybe 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 and that's it :good:

We'll see!
The updates been up on Sony's dev website for at least two weeks now. I downloaded it, but have PC issues so I can't flash it ATM.
10.5.A.0.233 posted 2 days after they finally got .230 posted.. There was no change log anywhere, but that was right after they certified it, June 16 2014.

233 is still 4.4.2 and unless you're going to build from source, then the download on the developer site is of no use to you. It's not just a matter of downloading and flashing.

From what i've heard yes but it'll change your model number from c6606 to c6603(or whatever the rom's model number is). It may(not always) impact the usage of 4g depending on what country you are in.

They are the same phone, actually
I take it there isn't a fix for this presently? with a OS downgrade or otherwise? the Z4 can go down to Android 5.0 with official firmware.
Unlocked my SOV31 (au Xperia Z4) with the qUnlockTool (s1 network unlock tool) and this changed my "bootloader unlock allowed: no" to yes. I got the software and login credentials from a UK eBay vendor. If anyone runs into this information I hope it helps, took me forever to dig through threads on XDA/Reddit/GSM-Forum.
I need answers.
