So long story short, some sort of storage corruption has occurred and I'm trying to restore the phone to a working state. TWRP freezes at the teamwin recovery project screen and while stock recovery worked, its factory reset never got past "formatting /data". I tried flashing all the components from this thread but nothing works and the recovery in there doesn't work either. There is a factory reset option in the bootloader but my google skills yielded nothing on it so I don't want to try it unless I some more info on it. Oh yeah, I've also tried booting directly into the different recoveries with fastboot boot but no better luck
Anyone have any ideas how to recover or is my turbo destined to pass on to android heaven?
P.S. In case it's not obvious, bootloader is unlocked.
Find RSDlite, v6.4.2, and flash the 5-5 firmware. This won't relock your bootloader, unlocked is unlocked. This should get you back to Fresh Factory other than your bootloader being unlocked. The phone should be in fastboot screen to start. All phone memory will be wiped.

Can't be a zip, and that name looks like the first ota to marshmallow. Try here:https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...-official-stock-firmware-6-0-1-mcg24-t3569334

Cool! Now you could drop in CompuFreak's modded stock 5-5. Been running it rock solid for a while. Still have gobs of room, 1.31GB, left on the stock partition EVEN with all updates integrated.

I think I have a big problem.
Today I receive an update. It was only 3.5 mb. I install it and phone reboots into cwm recovery and not attempting update at all. So I have tried wipe all the data plus factory reset but the phone was rebooting into recovery all the time.
So I use emergency restore from lg
Software and I have this

While I didn't get any notification for updates, what's actually your received updates that need to be flashed via CWM Recovery (and not attempting at all)?
And how to fix it, perhaps you should try to unbrick it..

I have been informed by update utility in my phone there is an update. So the phone download this update and reboots. After reboot it enter to cwm and that's was all. Cwm did nothing.

After doing unbrick method I've got this
It's in polish and it's saying software update. It's keeps looping after reboot with the same screen.

I think unbrick method did not flash my phone. It stay on 4% even when my phone was rebooted to update screen.

try recovery with b2c app. Worked for me.
1 - put phone in recovery mode: Volume+ key and usb cord.
2 - start b2c app, select recovery
EDIT: the app will download latest firmware from internet

Perhaps that's just "screen bugs" that shows 4% (I've had the same experience) but it will get to 100%, pay attention to the progress logs.

This was solved earlier. Just flash V20a. The Chinese one with SmartFlash. You should read the forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374611&page=3
Thanks a lot guys.
Method with Chinese rom works like a charm.

Hi I've got 2 questions.
1. I've for some time had an unlocked bootloader on my Z and I've installed another ROM, PAC man, but now when I plugged in my device to Sony PC Companion I get a message that I've got an new firmware available, shouldn't PCC recognized the phone as unrecognizable?
Sorry that it's in swedish but translated it stands: An update of the phone's/tablets firware is available

}
A new version of the phone's/tablet's firmware is available
(10.1.1.A.1.253)
Bla bla bla
Click Update to start the updateguide.
2. I was wondering if there are any problem to install/update to .253 using PCC when on unlocked bootloader and another ROM? If I ever want to restore, could I use this instead of my .ftf if I want to factory reset it too, as an alternative to Flashtool?
Thanks
//TheHawk002
My experience is that PCC says there is an update for my device, which of course there is, but it wont update when I tried with unlocked bootloader .

Let me know when it does . No really you will be fine.
You will have a message:your phone has a modified software and the update will not carry on.
You can go back to stock by using emma,it's only for unlocked bootloader or of course with flashtool.
To use pcc or sus update's capabilities you will have to flash a stock rom and relock the bootloader with flashtool(no need for TA).

Yepp after downloading all files, then when I put the phone in flash mode it told me that the firmware were modified but I did at least get an ftf from it ( @DevShaft )

I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my C6603 and I keep getting errors or bootloops. My bootloader can be unlocked according to the attached screen.
I tried with Minimal ADB and I'm getting bootloops and with Sony Bootloader Unlock it's failing, according to this pic:

Drivers are installed correctly.
What's the catch?
Try using the fastboot package provided by DooMLoRD in his thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153261
Also, the unlock key they send you is case sensitive, so double check what you're entering.

I tried with DL's method and just tried with FT. STILL getting BOOTLOOPS !
Try flashing a stock FTF with full wipe, then try again.
Also, I just noticed that your IMEI number is in your screenshot. I would remove it from the image if I were you.

Tried it. Still getting bootloops.
Then I can't think of anything else apart from trying a different USB cable/port or PC, but that probably won't make any difference.
When I unlocked my bootloader it worked straight away with no problems.

It worked on my XS. Looks like this one is a mystery.
Edit: CLEAN flashed it and tried an other port. Worked. Thanks for the suggestion!
You're welcome.

As I remember, flashing an unlocked-BL phone won't relock it, right? I'd like to relock it after gaining root on the .569.
That's correct.

Don't forget to backup your TA before you unlock the bootloader. Otherwise you'll loose your DRM keys forever and won't be able to re lock your bootloader

Too late.
So you can imagine my dismay when I turn on my brand new P9 only to find a huge Vodafone splash screen on boot... This had to go.
Followed one of the many guides online to install stock Marshmallow on the thing which solved the problem.
BUT, now I can't use Android Pay as I guess it's made my device unofficial!?
How do I fix this?! Baffled

Which guide did you follow and which firmware did you flash? Sounds like you didn't change your region/oeminfo before flashing the new firmware so it's changed you to C900
I felt the same pain when I saw the Vodafone boot logo, sympathies

Finally got round to this. All went great, followed this to unlock bootloader (not included in the link above)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66782268&postcount=5&nocache=1
There were a few moments of fright when the P9 booted back up with red writing saying it couldn't be authenticated or something. Basically fell into a bootloop from then on, no access to recovery using conventional methods. Device seemed to auto-recover itself by performing a 'low level' factory reset. Smooth sailing after that!
Hello! Im having a big problem with my moto x xt1053. I was flashing the stock version with fastboot mode. Everything was ok until came the ota with stangefrings update. I downloaded update and clikc install. After installing finished automatically the phone went to fastboot mode and showed the invalid cid.

Try reflashing your device via mfastboot.
Did you by any chance try & downgrade your phone from LP to KK?
Sent from my XT1052 using Tapatalk
If you can't boot to recovery or ROM your device is bricked and you need to restore your bootloader. A russian helped me to do that, he repairs it for like 10 dollars. Sadly I don't remember his name.
Wrong section.
PS: DON'T DOWNGRADE YOUR PHONE
PS2: just type "mfastboot oem fb_mode_set" before flashing the bootloader.
I once experienced wrong CID in HTC devices (Desire 816g to be spesific) and use HTC special fastboot and spesific CID to recover it
Never had it in Moto devices before
Maybe try mfastboot like @varunpilankar suggest
You need flash boot of the last firmware for your model. I had your same problem and works for me.

Did you do it via mfastboot? Clearing all your customization. Try this link http://mark.cdmaforums.com/MotoX-ReturnToStock.html. Proceed to option 5.

Hello varunpilankar, I did it via fastboot, but it stacked to gpt.bin version with RSD lite. I think there's a problem with that, because it's not the same with the stock version
Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk
Did you use option 5 from the above link..
When you flash stock via mfastboot you will have a fresh partition all together, which isn't possible through RSD lite.
So please try mfastboot and revert!

Try all files because if your phone was converted to xt1053 so you have to flash the original bootloader for your phone
Try 1060,1056 and always try the latest firmware
Many phones showing xt1053 in software but in bootloader it says 1060,1056,etc
